The complaints... The hostilities... The ungratefulness...

The complaints are fine and valid, but seeing them rise over and over is just utter torture to the eyes.

The forced views, the subtle flaming to avoid bans, everyone burning in diabolical hell just for making one joke (or multiple, depending on frequency) thread and having fun (One every once in a while is good. Not the first thing(s) that come(s) to your mind ever 3 secs like me back in the day). it's going to get us nowhere.

Heck, one can't even share their own opinions and views without getting total blasphemy from others.

Based on what this person said, along with recent topics, this is bound to be the downfall of SK and the forums.

The evidence is all around you and I on the General Discussion.

People asking for more, asking for impossible fixes at an alarming rate, I think I'm starting to find one of the reasons why I shied away from SK and the forums recently (not straight after making my Froster of course).

The only things we can do is to hold off on our anger. Yes, I'm flustered about the radiants too. Yes, I'm flustered of the postponed gunner update. Yes, I'm flustered at the non-existanct unbalances (Okay, maybe that's an overstatement. Your views and evidence are good, but I just don't agree with it. No bias), No, I'm not strived for new content. No, I'm not going to quit so easily. No, I don't think we should raise our torches and pitchforks and storm into OOO HQ with AK-47s threatening them to add more content and lore. No, I'm not going to make threads about any of the above things every 12 & 1/2 hours. We get the messages. Just stop.

I have seen so many ungratefulness from the forums and possibly in-game (I can't speak for that because I haven't played in a month). All of this may deter me from the forums for good. But that doesn't matter, right? You're still clinging onto the past when Annilaton and Sirius-Voltbreaker were still present. Plus, this is all more words for you all to use against me to lower my ego anyway.

This is probably me under the influence of the Ready Room music after having been away for about a month.

All everyone wants is more. More. Where's two of the most important phrases they've ever heard in the lives?

"Worth the wait" ~Gabe Newell

"Patience is a virtue" ~Whoever said that.

All of this is about to deter me from the forums for good and conceal myself in-game if I ever do get back (probably by the gunner update).

The toxicity of the forums has almost reach CoD's rank. It almost might be no wonder why hardcore junkies (no offense) play SK for the TF2 hat.

Everyone, myself included, needs to get their act together and make the forums and SK community a better place. They don't call it "Community" for nothing.

Answering questions with constructive criticism instead of subtle insults, Taking part in arguments/debates without flaming one another, Joke threads being reviewed and laughed with (or at) as long as they aren't spamming the forums, the molecular-level bond that keeps us all together.

The bonds are about to break if we don't do something about it.

Well, at least the Steam reviews for SK aren't nearly as bad as this one

just for making one joke thread

I believe you may be a little off on the number there. Just a little.

Who's Gabe Newell?

They don't call it "Community" for nothing.

But the KKK was a community...

Plus, this is all more words for you all to use against me to lower my ego anyway.

Even if this is true, could you stop dramatizing it? You're playing it out like you being an innocuous person who only made about 30 mistakes with some friends who you shove the blame on and are persecuted for what's long in the past.

Oh there you GO AGAIN, what is this? What is with ppl and their little fantasy of making this world a better place? STOP THIS! Better your self first before you try and make others better! Whine about forum toxicity won't make it go away and ignore ppl won't make them hate you any less.

I am a harsh critique, yes, but that is who I am, and I will be cynical like my idol Totalbiscut if I so desire. I tried to be nice, but damn was it hard, I don't want to be like the other Mary Sues who blow nice sound into your year, wake up tweeter, this is the real world where ppl have different opnions, if you can't handle it, just make yourself a fantasy land and hide in it.

Ah, so these particular kinds of threads have risen once again. Shouldn't be long now until the General Discussion is full of "SK is Totally Dead" threads.

Flaming and disagreement are inevitable in forums. Not everyone is going to start holding hands and talk about how incredible the game is. We already know that it's great, but it could be so much better. That's why some complain. That's why there are dedicated forumers that address the problems in order to bring them to OOO's attention. We may not show it often, but most of us just want to see the game prosper or else we wouldn't be here.

Furthermore, a large fistful of the complaints are avoidable for the developers. Not learning from the first time that their release estimates are inaccurate and hurt community morale is the main one. Giving a solid reason out why Radiants vanished, as well as a patch note pointing out the the drop rate nerf could've helped. Those are just two in particular, there is obviously more but they're destined for the arsenal.

Firstly I don't think OOO need to tell us what they plan on doing. They'll get complaints either way. Secondly OOO may address this Radiant drought in the Gunner update. If they don't and it's clear by now they know people are upset, then they probably have their own reasons for keeping things the way they are.

People are complaining yet the same people are still playing. Says a lot tbh.

The problem with SK is that we don't know the whole story, the GM's won't tell us the whole story, so we don't know the whole story, therefore we know very little of what the problem is, it's just what most people think is the problem.

The toxicity of the forums has almost reach CoD's rank. It almost might be no wonder why hardcore junkies (no offense) play SK for the TF2 hat.

anyone who makes one of these "rage threads" can be stopped easily (Ignore the crap out of them)

these people usually are one of two things that make these threads

A: Attention seekers (they make these kind of threads because they see that other people post on them alot)

B: Actually mad

I'm gonna have to say that 90% of people of these "ragers" fall into category A. Because I don't see NEARLY as many people throw a fit about it ingame.

If you really care that much about radiants. Do what Momo said to do, and Organize an ingame riot.

Chris did this and about 6 months later. bam Shadow keys are in supply depot

They don't have to, but if they bother to tell us announcements, you think they would bother to tell us what and why they're doing things now. It's just implied.

On another note, I said it "could've" helped. Not "It will stop complaints from occurring altogether". My point was that no one likes stealth nerfs, and as potential or actual paying customers, some would like an explanation. None were provided, and the player base is left with poor quaility, or no options for end-game advancement and we're left wondering "Why?" but you're absolutely right that it might be addressed with the update.

In game riot lol. Yay lets wave our toothpicks at Haven Auction House and make our points heard. Or lets all gather in haven 22 garden. Oh wait servers crash riot over. Chris did not change a thing. His efforts were futile and swept under the rug with all the other complainers.

This is a fairly common

This is a fairly common problem among all mmo based forums. But it can be much worse if you've ever been to other places. This place is moderated pretty good so you don't see anyone going nuts with improper pics or cursing. One mod at another free mmo community put it best "People who play on the server without ever visiting the forum are probably much happier people." and it's true.

A final friendly post

First, I met Annilaton in game when I accidentally joined him in an arcade run. He said he still watches the forums very, very much, but never posts because he knows how much negativity it would bring. After seeing this post, Annilaton told me to say this: "Don't give up." Then he went forward to fight the jelly king.

First of all, let me link

First of all, let me link this.

Second of all, that topic I made was because of a discussion I had with Soral quite a while back. A summary was basically that he was becoming negative towards the game (just like "everyone" else) and I was trying to encourage him to think differently. I also discussed with him some plans to try unite people to bring forth some change, even if it is just a "minority" of peoples' voices. What I think this community needs is more positive energy focused on something else. I see certain things that have been done in this community that have been great and certain people who always strive bring us something we can do and look forward to. I won't mention any names, but it has been quite the eclectic array of people that these come from. These people (or groups) have no connection and they work alone so to speak. This community needs more instances of these people and what they have brought us. But in order for these people to arise among us and stand strong, they need a community of their own. A community that can encourage each other, just like I did for Soral. A community that can work together to keep each other optimistic about the game and not brought down by the influential negativity that we see prevalent now. I don't want us to stand alone. I want us to join together to keep us alive. To keep going... together. United by a guild that I've been working on for a while now. One that brings forth a Rain that washes us clean and brings new positive growth in this community of Knights.

lol people on the internet make you mad

Why does everybody freak out this badly when somebody disagrees with them?
Bored waiting for an update? Play another game.
Really need to play? Make a new character.

So much drama could be avoided if you whined less.

when did I?

my meaning of that thread was to show our gratitude to ooo which they deserve, not that ooo is going down. new players are starting to like the game more than old ones, but the old ones are only like 20 or 30 people while 1000 or 2000 people like these updates.

The toxicity of this game is actually at a very good minimum compared to CoD. About 4% of CoD's toxicity.

>Well, at least the Steam reviews for SK aren't nearly as bad as this one
Maybe it's because it's a worse game than SK, so it's obvious it's going to get more bad reviews.
Speaking of which, there's a negative SK review on steam that's pretty much spot-on. It points out almost all the significant problems with the game in a constructive way, but he also praises the good things about SK too.

There's always gonna be an idiot or two screaming "SPIRAL KNIGHTS SUX" and another guy or two telling why SK is actually bad, and that's when we must distinguish the harsh but constructive criticism from threats to devs into shoving a pitchfork on them. Saying something bad about the game doesn't automatically make him a "hater", as long as there's justification for it, or if it's so painfully obvious.

If you want criticism to stop, you have to ask the devs to check out said criticisms and, at very least, try to talk with us or do something about it, and not complaining at it because someone is "hating" the game.

I am not posting a lot

I am not posting a lot lately, but dear, when I see Tweeter, a heavy responsibility sense urges inside me to reply, to you, my love.

asking for impossible fixes at an alarming rate,
Impossible fixes? The ancient DA bug is impossible? The radiant drought is impossible? Loadouts in LD was bugged for like 2 years till they got fixed, get real Tweeter, you are high on something.

You're still clinging onto the past when Annilaton and Sirius-Voltbreaker were still present
You know what is pathetic? To act innocent after doing crap and try to convince yourself and others that you "did" nothing. Oh yeah, it was a joke. And one thread? lol.
And didn't you already say you are quitting or something like that? Why are you still so clutched to SK and its forums? *I love it*, then stop making threads about your psychological relationship with SK every week asking how to get interested in it again.

The more you post, the deeper you are sinking in mud, just stop.

@Hollows:

Imagine a forums filled with Tweeters, Hollows's, Arck's. Ah... It would be heaven.

-------------------

Till when will OOO keep this silent attitude towards literally everything? It's just getting repeated over and over, with each mistake or decision they take. This isn't shiny...

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Well...

One common thing is that when idle hands have no work, they get angry. How about if the whole community pitches in to make something? :P

Valid complaints are valid complaints, but I've found that the best thing to do is either get over it until it's fixed or take a break from SK for a little while. I really want all the things which have been (validly) complained about, but I also see that the constant complaining sucks.

Seriously though, it's important to realize that the forums represents very little of the community.
