I work at Safeway part-time as a courtesy clerk/bagger. The store has just finished some extensive internal remodeling (cost $300,000!), and they held a sort of party to celebrate. There was lots of cheesy company propaganda, but it was cool, I bought into it 'cuz I have to work there and get paid. Besides, I can't complain too loudly when they serve cake and soda pop and give you barrels of laughs from cheesy skits, jokes and videos. :P

Ah, okay. One of the recipe dispensers caught fire. Of course, it wasn't my fault. Pfft, *places tomato on nose* what do I look like, *puts on clown wig* some kind of fool?
I got this character idea from your description of minerals, lol
Title: 'Co'-Head Chef
Name: Brandon Lamina
Appearance: A some-what burly man, with observant cobalt eyes. He possesses shortly cropped auburn hair, and often looks stern, in spite of being notorious for his large smiles.
Faction: Spiral
Sex: Male
Life Stage: Experienced Adult
About your character:
Brandon was originally a defender in the Spiral Order, serving with loyalty and gallantry, until the Knights escaped from Cradle. With the leave, many knights retired themselves, with the preliminary duties once popularized on Cradle no longer needed. Brandon was one, having served for nearly his entire life. It was then that he took interest in cooking. Back on Cradle, with the primary duties as a knight, he never had much talent to explore his aptitude at preparing rations, often creating unique and flavourful meals from the knights' rations simply with available materials gathered in the Clockworks.
However, he largely assumed this as a mere hobby, until he was given the opportunity to formally introduce himself to the art once free from his knight duties. He was immediately noticed by Biscotti, who took interest in his culinary prowess. She apprenticed him, a benefit for both, as Brandon often had to "clean up" the "messes" that Biscotti often made.
By the time that Cradle would once again call for the assistance of the Spiral Order, Brandon had secured a position just below that of Biscotti's, whom had loaded many of her duties to Brandon, as she was beginning to consider retirement.
Brandon is still a very capable defender, and his time under the heat of the kitchen has tempered him to be quick decision maker, and his demanding daily jobs kept him in a physical and mentally benign state. As a person, he loves to test out dishes (as do many chefs) and is always an easy one to laugh.
Gear: When not equipped with the White Battle Chef Set, he uses an Ironmight Plat Mail, but not the matching helm. He uses a Swift Flourish strictly in the kitchen. He would be aghast to have it be used in any other circumstance, always maintaining an attentive level of sanitation on the blade. For battle, he has a Leviathan Blade, but admits to having used it for more then one occasion to prepare food when in haste.
Special Abilities: None.
Stats:
Muscular: 1
Sensory: 0
Analytical: 2
Endurance: 2
Brandon just seems to have so much life and character in him! App accepted.
I hope it wouldn't be too much trouble for you to summon your GM powers to perhaps set up Brandon in a position with which he can engage into the story? I don't want him to be left out, but I'm not entirely sure how to integrate him into the plot.
As I'm starting to realize, I enjoy playing support characters, so he doesn't have to join up with the team or anything; just permit him to help develop the plot, add to it, or heck, even have him be some completely irrelevant dude, acting as comic relief xD
Here's an idea I came up with.
Brandon is running along, doing whatever it is Brandon does, when Marsh, the Fallen Valkyrie, suddenly develops a murderous urge and tries to kill him. Brandon pleads for his life, offering his services as chef in exchange. Marsh agrees, and the two of you continue your journeys together. Marsh still develops murderous urges, but now directs them at everyone else. Of course, Brandon is disgusted with this behavior, but over time, their perceptions of each other change. Marsh begins to see Brandon as a companion instead of just a servant, and Brandon begins to see Marsh as someone in need of a friend instead of just a murderer.
Of course, that storyline requires active participation from Blessid-Bombardier; I can't make that happen.
If you want something that I can make happen, you'll be limited to interactions with Gwen, whom I'm using to drive the plot and may not have much time for interactions with Brandon.
Wait, wait, Thin! I gotz de idea! Maybe Brandon can join me to kill King Teddykinzar! Well, if Hex is okay with it anyways.
Wait a minute.... you want the chef....to team up...with the butcher?
AHOY! FRESH MEAT!
If you don't eat your meat, you can't jump overboard!
How Can You Jump Overboard If You Don't Eat Your Meat?!
Is there anybody out theeeere theeere!? Is there anybody out theeeere!?
Cicero is going to SUCK in the next fight. I think he will need some angelic blessing from Gwen or something, because Vog seerusly assisted him in battle.
Arn't you guys suppose to be on your way to a crime scene? After all your suppose to be understanding who the first person on the list is. Because Blesse is making a Profile. Also, please report back to Blesse every now and again, your a team you should always be keeping each other updated regularly.
I dunno. Vog only gives you power, not skill. I mean, if you look at Vanaduke, he's basically an overpowered Trojan, and Trojans are relatively easy to kill. If Cicero's skills amount to anything better than a mecha knight, he'll roflstomp most minor monsters with his current equipment.
Also, Gwen doesn't dole out "angelic blessings" or anything. Her powers and abilities are pretty limited to the ones I listed. If she could buff her allies, I would have said so.
Well uh... something else, then? Vog made Cicero a super swaggy killer, and now he is mundane. MAKE MEH COOL AGAYNE!
Go to amu-sol and reconnect with the skolver spirit, Vog's rival sibling and take her power of snow storm.
Before her "accident", Gwen used to be a motherlike gift-giver. If you play your cards right, she could be convinced to give you something of value.
Something tells me Cicero doesn't care for her like a mother....
I am not over stepping my bounds by making all these IC assumptions am I?
Welp, your not sporadically de-buffing characters. So I'd say your fine.
And something tells me Gwen is no longer a motherlike lover.
She's more into platonic romance now.
@Darkwatck: Not that I know of. Though, I have to wonder how Blesse figured out Anders wasn't real.
EDITED
The question was directed at the host Malkalack. Not to be rude but I would like him to answer it please.
She does not know if he is real or not. She has yet to figure it out. The best she can guess is his actions when she asked for the camera feeds from the knights. His actions seemed a little funny to her was all. So she made a ploy to test the integrity of her team. Running a back-round check on all of them to see their history. She is asking 'Ander's' for his to confirm with her self she can trust him.
@Darkwatck:
You're not stepping out of bounds yet. Actually, I'd say you're on the right track with them. All of the knights on that list were individuals who could have committed murder.
I've probably said too much already. :3
Well, this is grand...Also when the check comes back I would need everyone to pitch in with a backround. Yes it would be giving you a back story, nothing major but for any reason or anything of note (Murder's and other things) the Order would have recorded needs to be upfront.
Thin: Your the Host here so your the only one who can give the permission for them to do this when I ASK FOR IT.
Yes, Yes you have...
Edit: Renao seems slightly suspicious, (Assassin...) Despite the fact she helps people (Or trys to) Without any reason at all. Also, What happened to Andre/Anders?
And wouldn't That make Gwenivere a... Hmm. I'll have to PM you this, Thin.
Platonic romance eh? Somebody post, I have a plot advancement in mind.
Well if Blessed is up for it, I think it'd be really cool, so why not? Just set us up :)
@Darkwatck: Sounds cool.
@Liminori: I'm all ears.
@Malkalack: Gwen's had a very bad history with romantic attachments, so she's grown rather picky and distant over the years. You'll really have to "play your cards right" to win her over. I won't tell you what kind of guy she's looking for, as that would spoil the fun of asking her yourself in-game. ;-)
@Hexlash: I'll see what I can do, but it won't be much. You really need to talk it over with Blessid-Bombardier and get him on board with it before the two of you can kick it off.
I just have this bad feeling Blessid's character 'Anders' is going to hate me.
Also: How many people expected the Firebug to be so smart?
Well, Firebug Is your character. She can be as smart or as dumb as you want. Like how Sono is almost constantly aware of his surroundings, except he can't keep attentive to individual things, like others talking.
Point being we are limited to what we see IC. OOC we can see it all, so we have to limit our knowledge of what is going on and use the context clue's of those who we are around IC to preserve the world. In this case you are preserving what the others are doing but are you understanding what they are doing?
Can i use this "Attack" or shoul I just turn it into a failsafe sorta thing, like bombs planted around the city to simulate an attack so that I could escape a situation like this?
At this point I would say use your best judgement. Blesse will ask you for the information once more when everything is over if you come back. Other wise its going to be a turn out. So make your best judgement call here.
What would our IDs be? Do we just make them up or are they not necessary?
Military ID:
1.) Your ID has a Letter telling them where your from. So say your from the US, I am from Floirda. the starting of my ID would be FL
2.) This is different in place but for the most common its the date your where born. (15)
3.) The Letter's of your current position held. (Soldier: SDR)
4.) Year and date you where taken in. (So say I was drafted this year. It would 03142014)
So my Military ID would be: FL15SDR03142014
(DISCLAIMER: This is not the 'proper' or 'correct' Military ID Numbering system. It has been changed for reason of Security.)
Current position as in Title? Then mine would be:
FL15DFE06242013
I'm not even sure if that's how you abbreviate "Defender Elite", but close enough.
CR14VAN02172984
Current year: 3014
Place of Origin: Cradle, CR
Date of Birth: 02/14/2450
Rank: Vanguard
Date of Induction: 30 years ago, two days after her birthday - 02/17/2984
Rank Listing:
Recruit = RCT
Apprentice = APT
Squire = SQI
Soldier = SDR
Knight = KGT
Knight Elite = KGTE
Defender = DEF
Defender Elite = DEFE
Champion = CMP
Vanguard = VGD
In this case lets replace Location with something like Armor type? SO!
Striker = SK
Gunslinger = GS
Bomber = BM
Elemental Defender = ED
Shadow Defender = SD
Piercing Defender = PD
The Specialist =SPT
Guardian = GD
Cobalt Knight = CK
So! Blesse's Military ID would be something alone the Lines of this ED25SDR11282994
This is pretty awesome. I love this RP.
ALOS: Psychnade; Blesse sent you a message in text for you to read. IDK if that was made clear in my last Post on the Story side.
Jaxter has no number. He never enlisted since he's a thief.
@Darkwatck ok sure I'll go check that
Then hate Blesse for she will enlist you for this team and give you one. Welcome to the Spiral Order Recruit.
Pfft. Jax is a recruit now. Also I'm using what I remember is the day I made a SK account.
SK15DEFE06242013
Sonosuke: Give me one moment I will deturmen you Birth place/Armor type
Zero what you stated:
-SK15DEFE06242013
First Birth Place:
-CR15EDFE06243013
Second Armor Type:
-GD15EDEF06243013
Thin, I'm gonna need comfirmation on what's attacking Haven Garrison. Unles it's the Morai. Then nevermind.
Mostly on the part before the answers. I was just thinking aloud.
