My first time in a SL was Ice Queen with my alt (ran it in Ashtail set, it was not that hard).
The 2nd time Ice Queen again, 3rd and last time UFSC.

Now I'm planning to do Snarby SL, what gear should I use?

Have ATM:

Helm: Snarbolax Cap (Normal Med UV), Chaos Cowl (Shock Med UV), Heavy Demo Helm (Normal High UV).

Armor: Chaos Cloak (Shock High UV), Heavy Demo Suit (Elemental High UV).

Shield: BTS, all the new Tortoise Shields, SSB.

Swords: Combuster (ASI low), Hammer, DA (CTR med), BTB (ASI low).

Guns: Polaris, Blitz Needle, Silversix(working on AP).

Bombs: Shiver, VV, Haze (4*).

Trinkets: Sword ASI, Gun ASI, Fire 5*, Gift Of Autuum, 3* Heart.

I'm most a swordie, using guns as sidearm, but I usually bomb for support when party needs.
(I'm using 4 wep slots and 2 trinket slots).

Helm: Snarbolax Cap
Armor: I'd hate to recommend Chaos Cloak but if that's all you got then use that, just watch out for poison
Shield: BTS, although this is one of the few areas where Savage Tortoise would be useful so try that out if you want
Swords: BTB and either DA or Combuster+Hammer
Guns: Polaris I guess, some people like to use blitz on the bosses but I find it a pain when everyone pushes them away with their toothpicks.
Bombs: I'd say shiver if your team is inexperienced otherwise don't bother
Trinkets: Sword ASI / Gift of Autumn

I'd recommend...

Helmet: Snarbolax Cap/Chaos Cowl

-Snarby has relevant defenses, like shadow and poison. Chaos is Chaos.

Armor: Chaos Cloak.

-Universal DMG and CTR is better than the bomber armor. It's also Chaos.

Shield: Savage Tortoise/BTS.

-If you want more defense, Savage Tortoise. If you want more offense, Barbarous Thorn Shield.

Weapons: BTB, Combuster, Shivermist, and Polaris.

-A lot of enemies are beasts, so BTB is a given. Undead and Constructs roam around as well, and since you have Chaos, Combuster would be best as it benefits from both DMG and CTR. Shivermist can help with crowd control and make things easier for your group. Polaris is good for Howlitzer shut downs.

Trinkets: Both ASI trinkets.

-The ASI will make you more swift in your attacks, which increases your survivability better than the other trinkets.

Using split defenses would be

Using split defenses would be the same as simply not going with the defense in the first place. I've done a few Shadow lairs, so here's what I recommend:

Armor: Chaos Set, because Damage and CTR, Wolvers and Zombies are easy to dodge, and Poison is just a nuisance of a status effect. Your real problem here would be either turret bullets, Kats, and Snarbs himself.

Weps (Implying you at least have one extra Weapon slot unlocked):
>Sword: BTB (Beasts are a priority, period)
>Gun: Polaris (For Lumbers, clustered undead, and far away turrets; if you can get AP instead, bonus points). Don't bring Blitz to wolvers, it can get annoying.
>Bomb: Either Shiver or Haze works, VV doesn't do squat since half of the thing is poison or would probably die before you can affect said half.

Shield: BTS (has good pierce resist and dat Sword Damage bumps it to MAX)

Trinks: Heart and Sword ASI if you have both trinks, Sword ASI if one because of a possibility to get a 21 Vitapod.

Thanks for replies

So, I must go with:

Helm: Chaos Cowl (Shock Med UV)

Armor: Chaos Cloak (Shock High UV)

Shield: BTS.

Swords: [Combuster (ASI low) or DA (CTR med)], BTB (ASI low).

Guns: Polaris.

Bombs: Shiver.

Trinkets: Sword ASI, Gift Of Autuum.

What about Sprite Perk?
Should I go with Poison or Swift Steps?

Hm.

Poison perk will help lower the penalty to Low, so those are a few extra seconds chopped off from doing the damage of a proto sword. Swift steps will be good for getting around traps easier and getting to enemies you want to either kill to get away from, so there's that.

A few secondary options that I would normally recommend are either extra health (you can never go wrong with extra health), bonus sword ASI if you want to plant the smackdown quicker, bomb CTR if you really want to flash freeze things, or Gun ASI if you want to deal with lumber/turrets quicker than Sonic.

I would personally suggest Sword ASI since you're already going with an offensive swordie build; if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing. Swift Steps would be a close second. Poison would be alright if you're more worried about not doing enough damage rather than getting mawled to death.

Relatively it's all up to you, your playstyle, and your ultimate role in the party. Unless you're a one man party, then WRECK DAT LAIR.

Also what kind of pet do you have?

@Gyrruss

A level 100 Maskeraith =3

If I put Sword ASI as perk, then my swords will gain ASI Ultra (with Chaos bonus, CTR Ultra too [weps lvl 5] and DMG Max [BTS] ).

I think that's good, I like to shield cancel a lot.
