Return to Cradle 2 RP Story Thread

Tros floated overhead, watching the great serpent fall. "By it's own power, of all things...." He flew over to the ring of Medics, coming down to a stop just above them, just barely in Blesse's view. "If only you were here, Sono..." He let out a slight chuckle, then stopped himself. "Then again, you have to protect Renao's body, on top of your current mental state."
____________________
Sono waited for the lift to stop, his Gokai recovered. Renao was strapped to his back so she wouldn't fall off while he was in combat, the Doragon covering her vital areas. This limited his mobility to basic acrobatic skills, yet he didn't care.
Stepping off at his stop, the first thing he sees is Anguis' lifeless corpse, a fang jammed into it's eye and several more missing from it's mouth. Pass that was Jorik. Not wanting to shock him, Sono casually walked towards the leftover fires in the distance, coming closer and closer to him.

Pushing herself up off the ground, a small grown as her body felt light from blood loss, Blesse placed her arm around the closet Field medic and pointed to the Elevator.
"Come on, we still have work to do. Dieing down here is not on the list of things to do."
Pulling the Medic with her, more like the Medic guiding, Blesse did her best to get onto the elevator, she would need to get back to her computer and imput some information as well as get some more based on what had just happened. Even with the internal pain of her body she knew it was going to be a waste if they didn't have correct infomration.
"You, the woman who was healing me, follow if you want to finish other wise I sudjest knocking me out to finish your treatment."
With a smile Blesse challaged the woman to try, knowing full well in this state fighting back would only cause her more pain.

Location: depth 5 a small Morai encampment
[Elzilia, laying motionlessly on the medical bay, is rudely awakened by the sound of botton mashing. Someone is playing furiously on a new video game right next to her. That someone is Ursulan, her mission supervisor, Elzilia sighs when she sees Ursulan is playing the interceptor pilot simulator 2409, the 25th installment to a boring and cliche franchise.]
Ursulan: *furiously mashes the controller of the Vbox720* "HAHA! GREY BARON you are mine! What? Missles in my six?! Argh!" *chucks the controller to the ground while feeling pissed off* "Damn! I almost had him!"
Elzilia: *sits up from her bay* "Hey, Ursulan, why are you still playing that stupid game? Is that game any different from the one before?"
Ursulan: *checks the box cover of the game* "Well, the new game has improved graphics! 13 pixels better than the last installment! And I pre-ordered this to get the exclusive type-X2 jetstream fighter!"
Elzilia: *sighs* "I can see now why they drafted you into the gunship core, this game tought you exactly how to be a homocidal pilot right from your childhood... hmm, how come I never played any games during my reaper programme? And also, how did we ended up here?"
Ursulan: "You fainted, I have to drag you all the way back to this camp to recieve medical treatment... we were on our way to the platinum spire, and then, yeah... you fainted..."
Elzilia: *sneers* "What? So you just chickened out on our quest to destroy the Gods?"
Ursulan: "Hey, we can always fight another day, besides, without a gunship, I will only weight you down." *points at a new gunship out side the medical tent* "See that? Its an A2 'ravager' gunship, a vairant of the original design. Slower but hit harder. Now we just need to wait for instructions from the HQ."
Elzilia: *sighs* "I really want to know what happened to Old man Affraiel and Midnight... did they check in from the radio?"
Ursulan: *shakes his head* "They haven't checked in for the last 24 hours, Gwen probably had them..."
Elzilia: *tilts her lips* "Man... Affraiel, he was like a father I never had..."
Ursulan: "Are you kidding me? Do you know what kind of person he was? I checked the files you raided from camp Zeta, that guy is responsible for mass murder, genocide and even rape! And he did them all in the name of 'what he believed in was right'! What kind of human scum is that?"
Elzilia: *shrugs* "Hey, we all did bad things in our life, you and I are none the wiser, we all have blood in our hands. The reason why I respect Affraiel isn't because I worship his bloody deeds, I respect him for staying true for what he believed, despite how derailed he ultimately became in his pursuit for inner peace..."
Ursulan: "So it is a 'when you looked into the abyss, the abyss looks back into you' thing with Affraiel isn't it?"
Elzilia: "I guess so... We will all have to come to term with what we did in life... do you ever regret shooting down those valkyries?"
Ursulan: "...In some way... yes..."
Elzilia: "Haha, funny, at the end of say we are just human beings..."
OOC: waiting for Jorik

Luke watched the medics run around, Being ignored, like this is new... wait, is Blesse getting up? He ran to catch up with the pyro. He fell into step a little behind the pyro and the medic that was supporting her. When they stopped, he waited till she was done talking.
"Where we going?"

"Up boy, now pay attention before you lose something worse then a fight."
Holding onto the medic for fear of falling down the Firebug waited for the others to follow her. She was in no condition to move according to any saine doctor, but still the woman fought threw the pain of her body and the weakness of her limbs to carry herself forth. Like some kind of devilish contraption she just waited, staring at the others with her bleeding left eye, the blood drying for only a moment before the tear ducts of her eyes gave the blood a fresh spray of liquid.
Come on, we don't have all day.

Jorik heard the footsteps of a single figure behind him. The steps sounded heavy, so either the figure was pretty bulky, or was carrying some considerable weight. Whoever this was, it wasn't who he was hunting for. He didn't need another pointless conflict so soon. Instead of addressing the lone figure coming up behind him, he unhinged a communicator from his belt, and spoke into it, clearly albeit gruffly too.
Morai HQ,
This is Commander Jorik Ironridge requesting pick-up and return to our base of operations. The trail has gone cold, and I require gear back at base in order to pick up the hunt once again. I expect a reply shortly. I've already killed a Giant snake down here, and don't want to have to stain the ashes here with further bloodshed.
Over.
Jorik hinged the radio back onto his belt, beside his new set of snake-tooth knives, as he wondered if the unfortunate soul behind him had picked up on that passively addressed warning.

Sono was slowly catching up to the man ahead of him, barely hearing his message. 'Morai? I don't have time for him.' He continued towards where the others were, faintly seeing Blesse, Luke, and a Medic up ahead a distance.

A handsome figure pressed his blinking phone's screen - causing the white knight on the virtual chessboard to be captured by a black pawn. He pressed it once again, and the screen faded into black.
Everything is proceeding as planned... it's time to make my appearance.
Nathan was in the Clockworks at one of the lower depths. Sporadic, pellucid puddles of dull water littered across the sidewalks were reassured of their place by the grey atmosphere of the same tone. Dusty, frail bulbs of dim effulgence lay atop tall, narrow towers of fusible metal, casting faint radiuses of luminescence that were spread evenly about the decrepit sidewalks that they laid their unstable structures on. He was walking elegantly on a tattered pavement encompassing an amalgamation of gravel as he yawned at the repetitive tedium of the unwary street.
"Stop right there!" A group of highly skilled Morai surrounded him in a flash, their many badges worn proudly on their battered uniforms. They immediately assumed battle stances, and pointed their swords threateningly at him. "Don't you think that 10 people fighting one is a tad bit unfair?" He smiled charmingly, before a blue pentagram formed on each of his eyes - the mark of a God Slayer.
"That's.... it can't be...." The Morai soldiers struggled to remain a calm composure. "Begone, you worms." He formed a dark runic circle on the tip of his index finger, before he pointed it at a Morai soldier. A narrow, dark beam formed as he pivoted his hand slightly to the right so that the dark beam decapitated four Morai soldiers as the others watched in disbelief. Almost directly after, he instantaneously transported himself to another Morai Soldier. "Monste-" Before the soldier could finish the sentence, Nathan had grabbed the soldier's face with his right hand, the soldier's body becoming enshrouded in a white glow for a moment before his entire body disintegrated into dust. By this time, even the most experienced of the Morai soldiers in the group began to tremble uncontrollably. "Holy Genesis." Nathan muttered, before a white runic circle appeared below each of enemies' feet, pillars of pure light erupting from the aforementioned runic halos and subsequently causing every Morai soldier in the vicinity to be disintegrated. Nathan deactivated his ocular ability as he brushed off dust from his shoulder, walking towards the vacant elevator.
It descended onto the floor, screeching to a sudden halt. His charming eyes gazed at an injured young woman approaching the elevator, her arm wrapped around a female medic. Nathan smiled handsomely as he extended a hand to them, his enchanting eyes glinting alluringly in the blinking fluorescence. "Need help?"
~~~
OOC(to Thin): I'm assuming that the medic Blesse is with is Gwen. Am I wrong in this assumption?
P.S: I bolded Nathan's dialogue so that it would be easier for people to recognize.
Passing by Jorik, Sono looked at him, studying and checking for anything special he had. Anguis' fangs hung from his belt, but nothing else to note. He looked ahead nonchalantly.
Sono gets up to where Blesse and Luke are. Hoping they weren't too mad for him leaving to Haven, he looks down and quietly mumbles, partially saddened, "hey guys...." He sees someone else out of the corner of his eyes.
Batting away the hand Blesse just looked at the new comer with nothing less then contempt.
"Be gone from me. I am in enough pain and honestly I really don't feel like dealing with some pritty body wanna be at the moment."
With that said Blesse let herself free of the medic only to fall face first on the metal floor of the Elevator. Rolling over she looked up at the fake sky as she panted, the breath having been robed from her by the pain in her chest and body. Damn this, damn that man, damn everything. What I need is some medication and a nice rest.
Renao could feel the air around her again. She looked over to Dexmina one last time, and said "Goodbye for now... Dexmina."
She leaned over, and kissed her. Her spiritual essence faded away, Bit by bit- Like a hologram that refused to fade.
Dexmina fell to her knees, and cried out.
---
Renao's mind eye opened slowly, Until she could see everything.
Everything was upside down. A strange man stood nearby, and Blesse was one the ground.
The guy didn't seem to have done anything to Blesse, and he seemed kinda cute. Looking behind herself, she was stuck to Sono.
She wiggled a little to let him know she was conscious, but didn't say anything.
Sono looked even lower as they passed by, believing Blesse was referring to him. Feeling Renao wiggle on his back, Sono removed the rope that kept her from falling off his back.
Tros over to the distraught Dexmina, and moved to her side. "Dexmina... if you want, I can show you a trick I learned. So that you could still be with Renao...."
"Uh uh, don't struggle. You need medical care, little lady," Gwen chided as she hefted Blesse to her feet. She whipped up a handful of biofoam in her hand and applied it to her wounds. Then she handed her a small medicine tablet. "Pain reliever. You'll need it."
Gwen glanced up at Nathan. "Yeah, I could use some help," she grunted, still trying to keep Blesse on her feet. "Hold her up, will you? I'm not done sealing her wounds."
The woman batted his hand away, her eyes showing nothing but contempt towards Nathan. "Be gone from me. I am in enough pain, and honestly, I really don't feel like dealing with some pretty boy wannabe at the moment." Nathan was taken aback by this; a female had actually turned down one of his offers? She pushed herself off the female medic, and fell onto the elevator's wired floor. Nathan gazed at his surroundings, before turning slightly to face a pretty young woman near Sonosuke who blushed slightly as Nathan laid his eyes on her.
What an interesting group of people.
"Yeah, I could use some help." The medic near Blesse helped her onto her feet, and heaved her arm onto her shoulder. "Hold her up, will you? I'm not done sealing her wounds." Nathan smiled at her, brushing his hand through his flawless golden hair as he winked at the medic. "As you wish, milady." When looked at closely, she was actually quite attractiv- wait; was Nathan supposed to be the one falling in love here? Helping up Blesse, Nathan proceeded to converse with the long silver-haired woman. "I assume you're going to hunt down Lord Takizar. Would I be correct in this assumption?"
"Grand Pretty boy knows the plan, he must have gotten the dispatch from HQ."
Blesse said in a mocking tone. Of course she was in enough pain her tone made little difference compared to her overall mood. As for the Pain reliever, she swallowed it, but her body burned it too quickly to even since a change. Grumbling she hung onto the man that was helping her, the dried blood from her left eye starting to crack as the bandage over it moved a little. Of all the things in the world...
Lifting her hand up to her head Blesse tried to take her temp the old fassioned way, however all she managed to do was set her hand a blaze. Shaking her hand free of the dark flames she just sighed. Right, mind must be fried as well...I could use a little nap though. Slowly she started to closer her eyes. The total weight of the Flame unit and extra tanks on her body could have been felt at this point with out Blesse support in keeping herself up.
"Me, hunt Takizar? No, you most certainly are not correct. I don't like killing people. Now hand me a wet towel, please." With one of her hands free thanks to Nathan's help, she pulled back Blesse's hair to expose her sweaty forehead. "Something's still very wrong. She's not responding to my treatments. I'll need her ferried to a medical facility where I can concentrate and create more potent medicines."
__________
Meanwhile, the strange old gremlin escorted his party of knights off the elevator and into a quaint little hideout in a remote corner of a deconstruction zone. He set down his staff and pulled off his cloak, revealing his worn red Colonial regalia. "Please, have a seat and make yourselves comfortable," he bade them in his deep, merry voice. "This is my humble abode, where I take shelter from the wilds. There's a...well, a waste hole over there, a washbasin there, and my sleeping bag there. Supplies are in a chest behind you."
Pushing away the cold towel Blesse did everything she could to avoid such a cold thing.
"You, whats your name? Bah never-mind, do me a favor and keep that cold thing away from me. Do you want me to freeze to death or something? Think about it for a moment, this fire had to come from some where and a Ten pound Flame Tank, thats half empty didn't make this much of a mess."
Holding up her hand Blesse struggled for a moment as she summoned a small dark Ghost pyre. After a second she let the flame die out and felt her knees starting to shake. Looking up with her uncovered eye she seemed to be missing the inner spark she once had before, not that she really cared to know who saw her eyes since she mostly had a face plate over her face.
"What I need is some fuel for the fire of my Spirit. And some stronger pain Medication.
Seeing that everyone was on the lift now, Sono turned towards the woods and walked off.
"It's simple, really," Tros continued. "Just fly at Renao's head while thinking about going into her." He sees Sono pass by, in the opposite direction of the elevator. "Sorry, I have to go for now." Tros both went back into Sono's mind and demonstrated what to do to Dexmina.
*Where are you going? The lift is the other way.*
"I know." Sono spoke aloud, since no one was nearby to hear him. "I don't plan on going back to Haven for a while."
*What? Why not?*
"I just need to get my head straight. Pay my respects to Sir Snarble."
*That's not all, is it?*
"...."
*Sono, you don't need to be any stronger than you already are.* Sono stopped walking.
"The White Council members are way out of our league. We only beat Snarble because he wanted to be freed, and we still almost lost both Blesse and Cicero. The rest probably won't be so willing to die, especially the likes of Lord Vanaduke."
*What are you suggesting then?*
"I'm going training. Before, I've only fought things because HQ said to. I've never bothered practicing my combat skills, so I'll start now."
[Ursulan and Elzilia replenished themselves with a nice meal of field rations and wild fruits, readying for their next encounter with the enemies. But before they could trace back onto their path to the platinum spire. A radio transmission arrived at the camp's make-shift signal beacon. The message is new and sent from the same depth as the snarby.]
Signal beacon: "This is Commander Jorik Ironridge requesting pick-up and return to our base of operations. The trail has gone cold, and I require gear back at base in order to pick up the hunt once again. I expect a reply shortly. I've already killed a Giant snake down here, and don't want to have to stain the ashes here with further bloodshed."
Ursulan: *notices the message* "Did you hear that? Commander Jorik Ironridge?"
Elzilia: *shrugs* "Who the heck is that?"
Ursulan: "Oh you know, THE JORIK Ironridge?"
Elzilia: "Sounds like some bad@ss I wasn't told of... so what does he need? A pick up?"
Ursulan: "Prescicely, come on, get on to the gun ship, we are heading out."
[Without any further adue, Ursulan hops onto his new ship and strapped on all the harnesses. Elzilia grabbed on the side of the gun ship, the A2 ravager is a single pilot gun ship. So Elzilia is forced to hang onto the side of the ship, holding onto a metal handle on the ship's main body. The other metal handle on the opposite side is reserved for Jorik.]
Ursulan: *starts up the engine* "All system operational... hold tight Elzilia... you don't want to fall off from here..."
[The A2 Ravager is a slow ship, but it gets the job done, minutes later, they located the co-ordinate of the transmission. The gloaming wildwood seems to have endured a battle, a battle that shouldn't have take place. Elzilia soon spots a large man with an axe in the distance, it is jorik.]
Elzilia: "You see that?"
Ursulan: "The ID are matched, that is indeed commender Jorik..." *connects to Jorik's radio frequency* "Commender Jorik, this is Ursulan, air lieutenant second class. We have intercepted your radio message and arrived here at your request. We will give you a lift back to the HQ."
Elzilia: "In another word, the air-cav has arrived!"
Jorik nodded to himself, as he looked around, before addressing Ursulan.
"Set it down here, the ground seems to be stable enough, despite this place looking like the aftermath of a giant bonfire". Jorik sheathed his great axe back onto his back, as he felt the power of the ship come in to land by his position.
Jorik wondered if this was the entirety of the Morai forces left. He'd ask later perhaps. For now he needed to focus on getting back on the trail for those Spiral commanders he really wished to challenge...and execute personally.
Ursulan: *responds to Jorik* "Roger that commender..." *sets the ship down to ground level* "whoa... it seems we have missed a fight of a life time here..."
Elzilia: *chuckles* "Too bad none of these guys get to fight a million years old ent! I am already start missing that guy, what was his name again?"
Ursulan: "Xinos... judge Xinos to be exact, but the darkness had already corrupted him... we just did him a favour by putting him down. Man, do you what was it like when he shrinked my down into a little baby?"
Elzilia: "...?"
Ursulan: "It felt like as if I was born again! For the second time!"
Elzilia: "Ugh... I wished that you could have stayed as a baby... much less chatty..."
[The gunship sets down to ground level a few steps away from Jorik, waiting for him to grab onto the outside of the gun ship.]
Ursulan: *calls HQ* "Morai HQ, this is air lieutenant Ursulan, I have picked up commander Jorik, ready to return to base."
The Morai commander hoisted himself onto the aircraft without a word, helped up by a side handle beside the ship's doors. He remained standing, one hand now holding onto a handle found on the ceiling of the craft, as he looked toward Ursulan.
"There's nothing more to be done here, besides breathe in ash. Take us back to base when you're able".
Jorik turned to look at the ashen wastes that was once the wild woods. His light scrapes taken from the snake slaying slowly mending themselves out of view.
"Grand pretty boy knows the plan - he must have gotten the dispatch from HQ." Blesse mocked the handsome young man, who did not flinch. As she took the pain reliever, she suddenly hung tighter onto Nathan - causing the latter's eyes to widen in surprise.
"Me, hunt Takizar? No, you most certainly are not correct. I don't like killing people. Now hand me a wet towel, please." Gwen pulled back Blesse's hair with her free hand as she continued without hesitation. "Something's still very wrong. She's not responding to my treatments. I'll need her ferried to a medical facility where I can concentrate and create more potent medicines."
____________
If one paid enough attention, they would have seen a faint blue pentagram on each of Nathan's eyes that had almost instantly appeared after Gwen's previous sentence.
Let's have a quick overview of her, now shall we? Oh; that's a very interesting source of power. It appears she obtains the ability to materialize and manipulate fire from a fire spirit, which is currently deficient in fuel. It seems that her own regenerative abilities are mediocre, though her body is currently experiencing an almost unbearable pain. She has multiple wounds across her body as well.
The pentagrams slowly faded, and Nathan turned to Blesse once again. "What I REALLY need is fuel for the fire of my Spirit. And stronger pain relievers."
Looks like I was spot on.
"I know where you can get fuel - I have a source of fuel with me right now, actually." Nathan brought a miniscule, metallic sphere out of his pocket. "This is an incredibly small anti-matter reactor that I have personally designed. The antimatter and matter have been severely condensed, and it weighs at about 2 kilograms. Although it only works once, its minimum estimated yield is 180 petajoules of energy - or 1.8×(10^17) joules of energy, if you'd like it in standard form. In another aspect, you could say that this has about as much energy as 43 megatons of TNT, or a nuclear fission bomb that weighs 27,000 kilograms. Though there's a drawback - if this immense energy is all released at once, you might be caught in a very dangerous explosion that would annihilate your body. That's if you can't absorb it properly. "
Nathan put the sphere on Blesse's hands, before turning to Gwen. "That solves the fuel problem. As for the pain relievers - I'd highly suggest the use of anesthesia. You should inject propofol to start the anasthetic, fentanyl to blunt the stress response, midazolam to ensure that she doesn't remember the operation and sevoflurane to maintain the effects throughout the operation. This should effectively allow you to work without any disturbances that her body might create." Nathan smiled charmingly as he paused for a moment, before continuing. "I may not look like it, but I'm highly qualified in many different fields."
_______
"Sorry if I'm interupting-" Luke leaned forward and looked sideways at 'pretty boy'
"But why would you be carrying something around that can destroy everything in a fifty mile radius, give or take a few?"
Looking over the orb for a moment Blesse sighed as she tossed it over her shoulder. "He might be smart, but he is the smartest dumb person I ever met. My fire is powered by my own Biological energy. Which means I need to have the energy to make the fires which is based on how tought my body is. After all I can emulate myself and still be fine. So don't think you know everything about me by flashing your little eyes at me. Yes I saw them glow. Secondly Pain Medication just burns away too quickly in my body to be of any effect. Even simple things like high level Morphine is nothing to me. It has maybe an hour effect is not less, have not tested it. As for what he said, I am interested why you are carrying something like a bomb on you as well."
Looking over at Luke for a moment she shook her head as if to say 'just hold on' for his knowledge, while accurate for a normal case, was completely off but still held some truth, after all he didn't look like any doctor she had seen. Throwing herself from the man's hold Blesse fell to the ground looking up waiting for the Elevator to get up. Rather wanted to be on the floor than in the mans hand.
"Some one do me a favor. Get some clean bandages, I just reopened one of the wounds on my back. That and get Pretty Boy here up to-date on whats been going on after he explains his reason for being here. I really want to take a nap right now."
It took a surprising amount of will power for Blesse to do what she just did, but rather being on the ground then in the hands, or shoulder, of some one like him.
Gwen raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Gosh, you really do know your stuff! I need to keep an eye on you, kiddo. Say, what's your name?" she asked Nathan, offering him a warm, flattering smile that seemed like it could easily melt a frozen heart.
"I'll get the bandages."Luke turned and ran towards the medical team. He asked the medical officer to give him some bandages, the officer pointed him to a portable cabinet. He walked over to it and pulled open a drawer. Selecting a couple of bandages, Luke reached in and pulled out a couple.
------------
I'll bring the bandages in a couple posts just so it feels like it took some time.
Sono deeply breathed in, then out. The Snarbolax lair was right in front of him, the shadowy beast sleeping just ahead.
*You've fought these things many times before. This time, you must aim your attacks carefully.*
"Got it." He stepped on the massive button that laid at the entrance, causing the gate to rise up behind him and startle the Snarbolax.
*Don't taunt it. Just stay patient, and strike when it's guard is down.* The beast rose from it's slumber, clearly annoyed by Sono's presence. *Toss your shield aside.* Sono hesitated, before complying and pulling out his Gokai. He stood in a stance akin to warriors of the ancients, his blade at a slight angle towards his foe.
The Snarbolax burrowed underground. Sono moved towards the center near the bell, but remembered that it was inactive. He cursed to himself as the Beast resurfaced and flung a volley of spikes at him. Rolling out of the way, he reached for his Doragon.
*No! Only use your Katana against it.* Snarbolax sent another wave, coming closer to Sono as it released them. *Deflect the spikes.* He stood his ground, blocking some of the spike. Still, more got through his defense and pierced his flesh. Sono grimaced before noticing that the Snarbolax was above him. The Beast went for a lunging chomp, similar to the one that nearly ate his shoulder. Time slowed down, freezing everything in place. Sono closed his eyes.
*... Now.* Sono's eyes opened, and he sliced upward, deflecting against the Snarbolax's hide. "Thrust!" He shoved his blade straight into it's maw, turning it upwards to stab the upper part of it's mouth. Sono grabbed the upper jaw with his left hand, turned around, and tossed the Beast over him, slamming it into the bell. Despite being inactive, the bell still rang, stunning the Snarbolax.
*Do you want to do this?*
"No..." he held his Gokai above him, the tip turned forward. "But I have to." He drove the blade into the Snarbolax's heart, blood splattering everywhere. The glow from it's eye faded as it's corpse self destructed in it's strange fashion. Sono staggered, his breathing heavy, before going upright. He shipped his blade to the side, the fresh blood coming off, before he went to grab his shield and headed for the lift.
The young medic seemed slightly astonished, raising an eyebrow in surprise. "Gosh, you really do know your stuff! I need to keep an eye on you, kiddo. Say, what's your name?" she asked, adorning her beautiful face with an even more charming smile.
Nathan's heart skipped a beat. Was it even possible for one to be that beautiful? "My name's Nathan - Nathan Ainsworth." On the corner of his eye, he noticed that his anti-matter reactor had been thrown onto the ground - and it was bent.
That's definitely not a good sign.
After causing a dark aura to immediately enshroud the metallic ball, it instantaneously dissipated into the air. "And what might your name be, milady?" Nathan inquired, smiling back at her with an irresistible charm.
Laying on her back Blesse just grumbled as she felt a new pain forming in her head. Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes all the firebug could do was just lay there on her back bleeding from the wholes in her head and her eye, even though she had bandages on her. I am going to get sick of this man soon...This is why I like the computers, at least they to hit on me or other women.
Grumbling to herself about something and nothing at the same time the Firebug tried to turn only to feel more pain in her body. "Gah! I need drugs, NOW!" She yelled aloud at the Medic's, even though they had nothing here to help her.
Luke jogged back to the group and handed the bandages to Gwen. He didn't know how to be a medic so he thought he would let someone who probably did.
"Drugs? I think there're all out of pain meds."
Renao searched through her kit, And found a several effective pain suppressors in it.
"U-Uh.. Here's something for the pain." Renao said, Shifting uncomfortably, as she had the solution with her the whole time.
"I hope it's good enough for you." Renao said, Handing the medication to Blesse.
Taking the Medication Blesse looked it over and sighed as she took the painkillers. It was going to be ineffective as always but at least she could be nice and take it. With a nod Blesse layed her head back and looked up.
This has to be the longest ride I have ever taken. Could some one at least give me a inflight movie...
Luke watched Blesse take the meds, then he turned and looked back at the other medics.
"Um, so what's our destination? We've been sitting here for a bit."
((Well, for those of you who would like to continue this,
Bump))
Once Nathan vanished, Gwen let off a deep sigh of relief. "Unnnggghh...ohhh man. If I had to keep that up much longer, I would have died. So full of himself." She rolled her eyes and plopped down on the grass. It was muddy and probably stained the back of her garments, but she didn't care. She threw back her head and gazed up at the evening sky.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" With her eyes closed, it wasn't immediately obvious who she was speaking to until she turned to look at Luke. Her slender fingers reached up and brushed a few locks of her silver hair behind her ears just as her glimmering eyes bowed in silent respect. "If this isn't the last time we ever get to see it, we'll be lucky. With the Spiral law enforcement on my tail, my time here is limited. Yours too, I expect, what with the remaining rogue council members running around."
She tilted her head aside and stared into his eyes.
"Be careful, okay?"
(I mean, heard good things about this.)
You can try, but the problem with joining RPs late is that the players often get ignored or left behind because they're not very familiar with the story or its lore. The only reason I thought I could join Outnumbered, for example, was because I (miraculously) had some idea of the story when I started (though I still had to ask for assistance). You might want to brush up on the story here if you want any staying power.
A little taken aback, Luke blinked looked up at the stars. I guess the sky is quite vibrant. He looked back at the injured pyro, and the other knights who surrounded her.
"I'll um, be careful..." He contemplated her words, "Wait, does that mean your leaving?"
(Sono isn't there atm)
Up in Haven, the Isorans and Strangers were busy with their clean up effort after Blesse's... meltdown and the mini Swarm invasion. Geo Knights were dealing with smoldering remains in the Arcade while others were cleaning up the Bazaar.
One Knight in particular is following a Warden towards the Arcade through the Garrison. A long claymore swayed at the Knight's waist as they approach the Gate Lifts. The duo stopped at the Wildwoods Lift and stood at attention, waiting for the group that were assigned to find the White Council members.
Jorik jumped off the elevator onto the ash ridden remains of the smoldering Wild woods. The Morai looked to his sides, trying to grasp a sense of direction which he should take next. The Valkyrie had been here, along with some Spiral whelps. It had been a quite a few hours at least, as he studied the footsteps in the ash with his hand. The dust began to rumble as cracks began to form beneath him in the ground's surface. Jorik ju,ped back in response as a serpent emerged in aggression. To his suprise, the beast spoke in a tongue he could understand.
"You are like them, the burners, the slayers, I shall feast on you here, Go now, say prayers".
The Morai smirked as he pulled out his large axe from his back. He balanced the weapon on his shoulders as he gave a swift reply to the aggrivated serpent.
"I pray to none, and head no words from an overgrown earth worm, beast".
Anguis shot forward in disgust, aiming toward the chest of the disrespectful morai. Jorik stood his ground, catching the head & base of his axe between the roof & base of Anguis' mouth. Acting like a car-jack, the weapon held the beast's mouth open as it began to struggle free of the axe's hold. Jorik took advantage of its panic, and unsheathed a throwing axe from his side. He threw the axe toward the eye of the beast, only to have it rebound off of a nearby scale. The enraged serpent shot toward the clad Morai. Jorik waited for the right moment until he leapt atop the head of the serpent, grasping its upper jaw with his left hand.
While Anguis tried desperately to right itself from the axe and its un-intended passenger, Jorik wrenched a fang from the great beast, and used it to repeatedly stab the eyes of the beast. Anguis shook less & less as its own potent venom began to work on itself. The serpent eventually fell to the ground, kicking up a large cloud of ash.
Jorik jumped off, walking up to the head of the beast. With a great heave, the Morai Hunter wrenched his axe free of Anguis' mouth, along with some fleeting snake flesh. He took out a carving knife, and began to harvest the scales of the beast, along with some teeth to make up for some venomous knife substitues. The Hunter would soon embark on his trail once more, to find the Spirals he had been tracking for a while. Then he may find a few more notable heads to add to his wall, in place of the serpent's here, too big to carry.
