I do not like that the new shield is an immensely rare promotional item.

I have once again changed the title to accurately reflect what the thread is about, so that the apparently large number of people who don't read the OP will know whats going on. Though Two-Step might have read the OP, and then ignored the comments where I addressed why we should care that a "bad" yet unique item was released in this fashion.

Should Two-Step return, I urge her to read the following comments:

Which pretty much sum up a large bit of the arguing that has gone down.

Not sure how to fit it into

Not sure how to fit it into this thread, but I think the best/worst part of this promo is know how hard those devs must have worked to design new items only for 1% of people to actually get, use, enjoy or even see these new items.

I only got to see the new items because EoS and Njthug can afford like 1000 boxes or something...

I almost forgot there was a promo at all due to the homogenous knights that are in game wearing casual gear.

@ Paintool

There are promos for the poor, well off and the rich. This promo was for the rich.

what

200 dollars for just a single shield with rare effects seems like a big waste.

not everything rare is cool.

200 dollars is both overkill and not enough.

On one hand, the boxes do sell for something, and it is possible to just pay someone else a large sum for a shield. On the other hand, 200 dollars = 20 prize boxes, which wouldn't be enough to guarantee a shield at all.
