Is it just super rare to get status uvs on a shield, or do I have bad luck? Trying to add status on crest of almire for at least low stun protection.
Also, I noticed that my Snarbolax Cap can only seem to get curse low when punched for status UVs, it originally came with curse low protection when I first made the whatever 2-3star cap.
Am I punching in vain?
At least no new status UVs I'm guessing, since the curse low I got from crafting has been gotten from Punch. Can it go to a higher level than low, or am I only limited to curse low on my snarbo cap?
You can roll status UVs on armor, just not shields (apparently? I've never bothered to confirm it because rolling UVs on shields is flushing money down the toilet.) Apart from that, rolled UVs are identical to the ones you can get from crafting in terms of type and strength.
So I can get a medium curse resist on my cap then?

On shields you can only punch Damage Resistance
On Helmets, and Armor you can punch Damage Resistance and Status Defense.
Rank is not limited, so you can get low, medium, high or Maximum on your shields, armor and helmets.
the probabilities based on rank:
Low: 2/3 ( 66.66% )
Medium: 2/9 ( 22.22% )
High: 2/27 ( 7.41% )
Maximum: 1/27( 3.70% )
given 4 damage types and 6 resistances.
you have a 10% chance of getting a particular uv on armor and helmets( 1 out of 10 ). while shields are 25% ( 1 out of 4 )
In my inventory I have:
Gorgomega, freeze low
Royal Jelly Shield, poison medium
Blazebreak shield, freeze low, fire low
Iron Buckler, stun medium
So unless this is very, very recent, you can totally get statuses on shields. At least through crafting.
It looks like punching only gets your damage.
I've punched a max normal on by snarby shield. have yet to see a status punched.
My numbers are only for punching. I dun, touche the crafting.
IIRC, you can't get a status UVs from Punch, only from crafting.
