I think that it would be useful to have a key (shift) that a player could hold down while clicking on a material to transfer 10 of that item to the trade window at a time. This would certainly make selling, say... 500 gel drops a good bit easier.

I know the 500x trade doesn't happen all the time, but I routinely ask for 50 or 100 of a low star material for crafting purposes.

Agreed.

Without question, I am all for this one. I get so used to using shift for Crystal deposits that I get confused when it doesn't work for Trade, heh.

Good idea

I fully support this, as a trader myself I can understand the frustration of trading large amounts.

Very important for me as well. I highly support this. Individual clicking on 1000 light shards makes me feel like im going to break my mouse.

I suggested that this should be supported in an AH suggestion thread, and wtfwtf_ok wrote: - Shift-clicking already moves 10 units, pretty much everywhere in the game. Now, I've tested this on both linux and MS Windows, and both trading and listing in the auction, and neither seems to support the shift-click. I guess I'm not certain what wtfwtf_ok was trying to say.

A better Idea.

How about just making it to when you press shift click on an item. A window will come up asking you a quantity you wish to move?
Now, doesn't that make more sense?

im not exactly sure on the method but there needs to be some way to trade bulk amounts of mats easier. shift click for 10 sounds good, but then u consider sometimes you sell 500+ shards or something, then thats still 50 clicks. Could go with Alberith14's idea but that seems a bit annoying when its not all that many. either way they would both be a vast improvement over the current method.

When selling things to a

When selling things to a regular vendor (one of the guys in the Bazaar, except Brinks) Shift + click moves 10 items.

I don't think it works for the Auction House, but I wish it did.

The right way

Alberith has it right, of anything that is the method they should apply.

Hrmm.

I realised today that I use "Ctrl" more often than "Shift" when offloading crystals to the gates. It works exactly the same. But still neither work in trade with other players nor adding the AH. For me at least.

Bandwagoning

I think this is a relatively simple solution. The way things are now, making simple bulk trades of materials is time consuming probably conducive for RTIs, and no fun.

Other potential solutions I can think of are; using the good old dialog box to enter a number, or be able to drag an entire pile by holding shift while dragging.
