I have observed that with the last patch, SK's memory leaking habits have gotten worse. After around 5-6 floors, the game will freeze every 5-10 seconds, making gameplay excruciatingly frustrating. I know some friends are also observing this, and people in my public parties have been experiencing severe lag problems much more often.

I want to put this thread out there so OOO is aware, and so that anybody affected can speak out.

Okay. So anyone who hasn't heard about the tortodrones is living under a rock, and anyone who didn't know about the countless performance and gameplay issues hasn't actually fought them yet.

Yesterday these things were pretty grievously powerful (And star rating exclusive, poor lowers.) and are, like all too many patches here in SK, met with an early-on tendency to destabilize the game with the patch. I thought to myself, "you know, OOO will probably pull out an emergency patch tomorrow and maybe even debuff these guys slightly as an apology."

I am a Steam user, and I want to buy Energy via my Steam funds. However, I am unsure if I will get an Ancient Prize Box for this. The Promotion page only mentions that buying the DLC on Steam does not count, and the Billing FAQ mentions "converted Steam Accounts".

Several people, including me, have reported that performance drops are happening every 5-8 seconds. I opened task manager and found out that the game is using up over 750,000 K of memory and half of my CPU.

I'm using Windows 7 64 Bit. Not sure about anyone else, but this needs to be addressed quickly before someone's game crashes because of the performance drop.

I've got a pretty high end computer and since the patch I've been getting half second screen freezes every 5-8 seconds, even with the graphics turned all the way down. Is anyone else having this problem?

After a few lag spikes, I got booted from the server. I rejoined and everything seems fine now. Note that my computer runs SK perfectly and my internet is going strong. Is this a case of server-overload?

So...for some time I had this big problem that at some point my game crashes while loading. I don't know why it does this though. I have tried so many things just to be sure: using the web client instead of steam one, changing steam files with some of web client ones, checking my java version and the security it has, my compatibility with my pc parts but nothing worked out. I know my pc isn't actually the best but yet, I manage to run most of the newest games on medium settings.
If anybody can give me an advice please do so. Thanks!

i got problem when i tried to back up via steam, and it failed. then i tried to validation the cache, it said 9 files missing and i downloaded the update, around 200mbs, then after i finished download, i revalidate the cache and it still said 9 files missing with same update. anyone help?

From around a year I have problem with very strange disconnections. I'm aware, that Spiral Knights have problems with latency lag, but those disconnections are not problem from latency. I have 10MB/s internet connection, so it's not internet problem. I think it's problem with my PC or software.
