Intense FPS lag.

I can just play through the entirety of FSC, getting about 10~ FPS or so, however when it gets to vanaduke, that FPS crawls right down to about 1~ FPS or whatever. on most normal levels its bearable, to neglageable. but I really feel it on these levels which is a shame, because they're my favourite.

I'm most likely not the only one with these issues, and I would just like to request better optimisation of these levels, or atleast an option to reduce all things to an uber low level, so the game gets decent FPSs all of the time.

Thanks ;)~

So, here's the thing. I like Spiral Knights. He doesn't. I help him with PC Stuff(I'm a lot better at Customizing & Cleaning up Computers than he his.) He lets me make an Account on his Comp. So, right now, I'm on his PC, making this Account the same as my one on MY Laptop(We both got Laptops as an Early Christmas Present, 4 Weeks ago :D) I've made everything pretty much the same, except I just gotta Download SK. I goto SK'd Download Page, Download, Open Installer, &...

In-game aim cursor randomly disappears

Submitted by Longbyte on Sun, 12/25/2011 - 19:52

  • Technical Issues

When I use the HUD/GUI or when I'm fighting, the cursor that helps me aim disappears. It's normally when I use my gun and not my sword. When I hover over any button or context menu (drop-down menu, right click menu, etc.), the cursor reappears, but when I click on it, I can just go back and my aim cursor reappears. I'm using Java JRE 6 with the JDK 1.6.0_26, both 64-bit. My OS is Windows 7 64-bit as well. The graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 240. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Making Spiral Knights automatically choose second monitor

Submitted by Wolfkit on Sun, 12/25/2011 - 14:09

  • Technical Issues

So, I recently got a second monitor and I want to have spiral knights full screen on it.
However, spiral knights will always open on my main monitor when I full screen, and when it's full screened i can't move the window to the second monitor.
How would I set spiral knights to always open on my second monitor? (the screen without the taskbar)

I am using Win7 64-bit and steam.

Why am I only constantly getting one bar when I play recently?

As of a aprox. 6 hours ago, I have not been able to log into the game through the Kongregate, Steam, or SK Portal. The game will show up briefly, black screened, then exit itself.

I have tried:
*Uninstalling Java
*Uninstalling Spiral Knights
*Rebooting after re-installing both of the above
*Edited Regedit from the following source: ( http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Technical_issues_FAQ )
*Checking Firewall settings ( Correct ports are allowed )
*Updated nVidia drivers

The following report was generated ( from the java console ) from beginning to end of starting Spiral Knights.

Well, it's simple, I just clicked on the Spiral Knights icon on my desktop and waited for the game to start up. But suddenly, this message pops up saying that "the application was unable to run correctly (0xc0000005). Please click OK to close application." After that message, nothing happens, no game, no nothing. Can someone PLEASE help?!

Insufficent memory?

The game crashed lots of times today, all the logs show a similar cause. I didnt change anything on my computer. My only concern is a virus eating up resources:

# There is insufficient memory for the Java Runtime Environment to continue.
# Native memory allocation (malloc) failed to allocate 1288464 bytes for Chunk::new
# Possible reasons:
# The system is out of physical RAM or swap space
# In 32 bit mode, the process size limit was hit
# Possible solutions:
# Reduce memory load on the system
# Increase physical memory or swap space
# Check if swap backing store is full
