Problem with Fiery Atomizer

Not sure if this is a bug or an intended change from the latest patch, but it seems that the actual damage from the level 4 bombs has been decreased. The effect of it (poison/freeze/fire) is slightly bigger but the actual blast damage is smaller. I understand the effect of the bomb has always been larger than the blast damage. For instance, when trying to destroy a block I would have to have about half of the block into the shown line radius of the bomb. Now I have to have more than the entire block in the line radius just to destroy it.

Ironclaw Munitions Factory - appropriate gear

For Royal Jelly you need a powerful sword and lots of poison, and for Lord Vanaduke you need lots of fire resist, among other things. I'm thinking of which gear you would need to go through the Ironclaw Munitions Factory and defeat the Roarmulus Twins.

My first guess for 3-star gear, since it's a stratum 4 boss -
Armor: Elemental Cloak or Surge Breaker Armor
Helm: Elemental Hood or Surge Breaker Helm
Shield: Horned Owlite Shield or Surge Breaker Shield
Weapon 1: Cryotech Alchemer MK II
Weapon 2: Nightblade

Quicksilver Movement Bonus

So, the quicksilver mail has been revamped and made available through tokens and upgradable to 5*. That's cool, but it doesn't look like the 3* quicksilver mail you buy from Brinks for tokens has a movement bonus--has the movement bonus been done away with? Does it show up at higher levels or higher * variants of the gear? Anyone know for certain?

'Cause, let's face it: a movement bonus would basically be the most desirable thing armor can give you in this game.

Helmet Recommendations?

I've got armor and a helm that I really like as a costume, but obviously I need something functional underneath if I want to move on in difficulty. At the moment, I have a bound Magic Cloak that I'm not using, and have been thinking about perhaps upgrading once I have energy to do so. (I'll probably wind up buying the Starter Pack.) However, before I get too invested in any particular gear, I was wondering if there are any helmets that would compliment the Magic Cloak line, or if I should stick with a matching hood. On that note, which of the three highest ranking cloaks is the best?

Screenshots of new Atomizer vs Shivermist (now with video side-by-side from Noodleface!)

I don't have an old shivermist screenshot to compare, but I have both four- and five-star versions of the bomb to compare it to.

It looks like the radius really was only slightly reduced - I can't immediately tell it's smaller by memory and eyeball. (My guess is that it had to do with Vanaduke runs, where the edge of the old shivermist haze was just big enough to keep the lug frozen while remaining relatively safe.)

Fast swing-to-move swords?

Submitted by AnotherIdiot on Wed, 07/06/2011 - 14:32

  • The Arsenal

Hello,
I'm trying to find out which swords have the fastest swing-to-move and swing-to-shield speeds. I don't think this is reflected solely in the weapon speed. The Cutter, for instance, is fairly fast and has a very short swing-to-shield time, but the attacker can't move until the second swing animation finishes (even though the attacker can shield after the first finishes). Which swords have the fastest swing-to-move times?

Thanks to anybody who can offer input.

Question about the Haze Bomb

If the Haze Bomb gave Stun Statuses, why doesn't it have a Stun Line? Would it be overpowered?

I can understand it, but when im writing,i've got some problems with it. Sorry me for that. Still u will understand what i created this topic for. ;)

My question is,
what do you think about making:

Blade - Dread Venom striker (i love fast attack+poison at 4*,i think its gonna be very good against Jelly boss.)
Helm - Divine Veil (defence against element+shadow, resist against fire\shock\curse, i hate all that statuses.)

Skelly Shields/Set underrated?

Submitted by lulzking on Wed, 07/06/2011 - 14:06

  • The Arsenal

Right now it seems that skelly shields arent as useful as owlite, etc, etc. But i feel like skelly shields are way to underrated and will eventually sky rocket in value in the next few months. This is because I think the skelly shields are pretty useful for PvP. I mean when PvP comes, I'm sure the majority of weapons that will be used are divines, fausts, iron clad, vile, and glastus. As well as Ice Bombs (Idk if they will take out the graviton or not). The skelly shield will help the player resist most of theses with shadow def, poison resist, and ice resist.

The change to haze bombs, this is not a QQ thread.

Was wondering how the changes are affecting the Shivermist? It looks like the radius of 2*-4* were increased, and the 5* was decreased, this was most likely to allow for a better scaling as you upgraded it. Instead of it being small, slightly larger, slightly larger than that, and the OMG THAT IS HUGE.

So my questions:
Duration should be slightly longer than the 4*, correct or incorrect?
Radius should be smaller but still larger than 4*, correct or incorrect?
{assumption} freeze duration the same?
