guys comment on which bomb is the best in spiral knights. :)

The other night, I was doing a few jelly runs with a friend and one of his friends tagged along. This friend pointed out that my Silent Nightblade exploded twice often. Quite simply, I thought it was supposed to always explode twice, because that is what mine does. Always. When he used his charge, he literally never got two explosions. We sat in at the end of a level for two or three minutes charge attacking, and he never got 2 explosions, whereas I always did.

I'm kinda stuck in a situation where I could either buy normal or elemental defense as UVs for my armors.

Let's just say these UVs are at the same level (so both are low, or medium or high etc.) which would you prefer to buy? I'm still in tier 2 so is there a specific damage type that becomes more prominent that I need to be weary of once I reach tier 3?

Any tips of what UV to buy for the future; normal or elemental?

i am using a blazebrand atm, it says that it have a chance to create up to 2 explosions.
personally iv never seen it. at best my blazebrand make only 1 explosion.

so i am thinking, is this line of sword been nerfed? or i am just that unlucky to been playing with the sword for 2 weeks, charging at least 100 times, with results of only 0 or 1 explosion.

also the sword have a tendency to switch elements, from elemental to normal at its own will. Is that normal?

Okay I've been playing only gun / bomb the entire time I've been playing sk, and have had a jelly complex on swordies b/c of their awesome dmg <_<

It's sucked - but I'm starting to see my guns work... to some degree... as well as a swordie would with his swords. Although the situations for us to shine are different, my shining is there. More so with bombs though... bombs are awesome O_O

Anyway here are a few questions I would like everyone's opinions on as I take my steps into 5* gear...

If I have a Shield or Armor with a Shadow Defense UV, say Medium, will it get bigger if I Upgrade that item into the next level or not?

I'm looking for someone who owns a Darkfang shield (the one with the gremlin design) Bound or unbound, I'd just like to see it exists :D

i want a Vog Cub Coat and Cap, but i want one with an (very)HIGH UV (i think it's called UV)
1) is it a good idea to craft wolver / dusker coat & cap until i got a good one and then transmute until vog cub coat & cap
2) what is the change to find a good one with crafting wolver / dusker coat & cap, and what UV is good to use (and which rate)

i currently have 4* gear:
ascended calibur (high bonus damage against slime)
mighty cobalt helm & armor
and a mighty defender shield)
but i want 5* gear and directly a good one so dont have to buy it again

I finished up my first five star standard set (Vog Helm Clean, Vog Chest High Sleep, Barbarous Shield, Leviathan). My question is that I am starting to roll two star items for UV's on items I do not have and just got a High Piercing Owlite Shield. Would it be better to sell it and purchase one that stacks with my resists, or build up to help others.

How strong can a weapon be? How fast can they possibly move? If you combined Skolver set with Barbarous Thorn Shield, and had a Khorovod, it would make sense that it was capable of the highest hit in the game. A Vog Cub set with a Swiftstrike Buckler and a Wild Hunting Blade would probably get you the highest amount of hits. Has anyone ever tested this?
