Hidden Crown multiplier

I see people complaining about missions sometimes, claiming that they are undermining the Arcade. So I've come up with a solution.

Make it so that everytime a Knight finishes a stage/depth, they gain a multiplier. The more stages they finish, the higher the multiplier goes. The multiplier for every stage also increases depending on the difficulty (normal, advanced, or elite). This won't apply to only the Arcade, it applies in missions too. But you won't get the full benefit unless you do the Arcade.

I don't know what else to add... Anyway, just gimme some feedback.

so how high would the multiplier go if say you grind full arcade runs (t1-core) on elite back to back for 1 whole day?

This is just a rough guess, I

This is just a rough guess, I didn't put much testing into these numbers.

The multiplier increases by 1% for every level played on normal difficulty, 2% for every level played on advance, and 3% for elite. Play from the start in t1 and you'll have around a 84%(28*3) crown bonus at floor 29. If you usually get 30k from a full clockwork run-through, you'll almost double that amount now.

No, they won't be reset. Instead they'll just NOT earn the multiplier point from finishing that the level where they died. Like how Heat works.

I was saying something similar just yesterday...

"Hey this sounds familiar...

Having a loot multiplier that extends to a reasonable amount but not too much is needed. In the thread I linked I recommend having consumables decreased and loot increased per floor completed without being downed to a maximum of x2 loot and minimum of 0.5x for consumables.
That entire thread has some good stuff in it if you have the patience to read through it.

But an incremental change would be welcome. If you want it to be subtle that's great, but having it be more obvious will make players work that into their playstyle, especially if you are penalized each time you go down. Right now the game doesn't really punish you for going down outside of your personal spark bank, so affecting your personal loot would be a good incentive to play on difficulties that you can actually beat.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but higher depths already give you more loot. That's effectively a hidden crown multiplier.
There are people who don't have time to do a full clockworks run. You're basically rewarding people for spending more time on the game rather than playing more difficult levels.

I don't want to trivialize mission payouts. If people want to fight a boss, there is no real reason to stop them from doing that. However! I will say that missions payouts are kind of wonky, given that the game is oriented around you doing an odd stratum and an even stratum, potentially with a boss at the end. Since this is the case, it would really make sense for the developers to give missions a more natural loot progression, which I described in the thread that Fangel linked to as being a three part process- first, the knight gets built up with vitapods and pills and things, then the knight goes and gets loot for an extended amount of time, and then the knight fights a big battle and gets a bunch of loot to end it.

Oh yeah, I know about

Oh yeah, I know about Fehzor's post. I was just making a much simpler suggestion. I fully support Fehzor's idea, and if possible, I'd prefer his idea of a total Arcade redux over my little patch.

@Deleted-Knight: Yes. I know I am. I don't know how else to say this, but that was the point. To get people to spend more time in the Arcades. I guess I'm also giving a bit of a leeway to people who aren't that good at the game yet, or people with too much time on their hands.

my thoughts..

@Keepscaite:

i agree to reward people that spend more time on the game. i know some people with circumstances don not have that much time and therefore pour some real money into the game, but players that spend more time in building there character should have a reward for that.
