I do not appreciate my ":D" being turned into "Incoherrant grins." Or any of the other ones. Particularly not when I'm trying to throw a face at my guildmates and I end up smiling or grinning in local chat.

Ick, devs. This is seriously annoying. :l But since someone will probably appreciate it, just give an option to turn it off? D:

"Lol" being transformed into

"Lol" being transformed into "*player* laughs." is also grrr.

On a sidenote, angryface isn't being transformed. This is appropriate for the amount of rage I keep getting from my typed stuff being altered without my consent. >:(

Uh...

I guess there's a way to turn it off? I haven't encountered this before.

Was it introduced in the new patch?

lol

"and I end up smiling or grinning in local chat."

Hehehehe...

One of the ones I hate is when I say

"lol That's funny". Then you get the message "No such player". -.-

@Cyankitsune: Yes.

@Asukalan:

Using the = sign to do faces also does the appropriate action.

Like =), =], and so on.

"Was it introduced in the new patch?"
Yes.

"I guess there's a way to turn it off?"
There is not as far as I can see. This is exactly what I'm suggesting gets implemented, though.

""lol That's funny". Then you get the message "No such player". -.-"
Ohgod that's awful. D:

"Using the = sign to do faces also does the appropriate action"
Yeah, they've made nicely sure there's no workaround for an annoying feature. Amazing.

ANGRYFAEC >:(

(Constructive discussion encouraged, naturally, I'm just gonna be seething on the side.
