Guild / Group In-game Mail please

Hiya!

I'm a Guild Master, and it is pretty hard to send people a news letter, reminders about events, and other various communications. I do this once in awhile, but it takes a fair amount of time to send out 70 - 100 identical in-game mails because there is no support for group mail. When you add guild improvements please at the very least add a mail to guild option in the guild menu for officers and GMs. This way it is only an additional guild option and doesn't require very much UI support. Ideally I would like the ability to make lists for my Lockdown team and things like that, but I can easily see the ROI for full support of mail doesn't make a lot of sense (as only a few GMs and Event organizers would really want this functionality). The mail to guild option should be super simple to implement and would be beneficial to guilds though.

Well you probably don't need to be told you're not the first to suggest this, but I will anyway. That doesn't change the fact that I support the concept I guess.

These things will hopefully be implemented as part of the promised new guild features.

In the mean time, you can consider using these workarounds:
1. Set up a free forum. There are many free forum hosts available (an example is InvisionFree, one I use quite often).
2. Abuse friend request. You can type a lot in the friend request message field, and you can copy and paste in it. Since you're guildmates you won't need to be in friends list - send a fake friend request with your message, and tell your guildmates to reject it after reading.

Seen a fair number of guild improvement threads, and I'm certain I couldn't possibly be the first to suggest this. However a quick search for "guild mail" didn't reveal anything relevant, and the monstrous guild improvement threads (the two I looked over) seem to lack this suggestion. I'm fully supportive of this request being added to another thread though. This is one of my most tedious tasks as a GM currently, and in-game mail everyone is sure to see so people are not tied to the forums, a bulletin board system (BBS), or whatever else.... My proposal is also phrased in a way where it would require very little work to implement (hoping to spur developers into action). for the monstrous threads, I would phrase it more like we would like full modern mail support with distribution lists... As having officer, lockdown, event, guild informational lists would be idea to get information targeted at the correct knights.

@Hex feel free to add the mail idea to that thread (as it isn't there -- however the BBS is nice and close to what I'm asking), and get that cough looked at :)

edit: if you can point me to another thread I'll "me too" that one and let this one die
