I am fully aware that there are pre-existing threads on this, but I thought it'd be more productive to make a new thread than necro a six month old one.
The deal is this. At the moment, if you leave a party for whatever reason, you lose your heat. This irritates a lot of people, because sometimes your PUG party leader likes to shove a tree trunk up his posterior and kick you to keep the heat you needed, or so they could invite their friends to the lift (when they could've gone DOWN first)
A somewhat remedy to this:
--When a player Solo's, his/her heat is lost. By going solo, you are making the decision to leave the party and forfeit your heat.
--When kicked, you will retain your heat. Simple.
Hopefully, this SHOULD deter scumbag-PUG-leaders from kicking members for heat, instead asking them if they could solo instead or something.
Issues with this:
-As you all probably know, heat belongs to the Party. It is stored collectively, and 'shares' are given to each of the players, depending on revives and everything. I'm not sure if it's possible to take heat with you. (Possibly just deduct said player's share and leave it in ball form on the floor of the solo-stage?)
-Soloing players won't keep their heat. However, they have to make the decision to solo, and if the Party leader forces the issue, then bing! They keep their heat.
Anyone else got something to add?
For those who have not been keeping up to date see here for a recent example.
"PUG" refers to pickup group for those unaware.
The only problem with this would be if the person removed deserved to have their heat lost (inactive, etc.) though their removal is normally enough punishment; what would they do, wait for someone else to join them?
