I'm not the only one that have problems in "Energy" so um i'd suggest every Friday they should give the knights some free "mist tank"
for Continuing Missons,crafting etc..

Abuse it, and they can finish the game more faster and easily. Say I play missions all day long on Friday. Ok, I spend all my mist, then 1 hour later, I get a mist tank and I can continue doing missions or craft.

Also, giving free mist tanks will make knights have lots of crowns and bigger loot. The energy price will rise up because everybody becomes rich. And OOO might lose some money

More crowns -> Raise the CE price by some greedy person -> energy used for clockworks -> CE prices keep on going up -> Nobody buys CE ->People would buy the packs -> Nobody ends up buying it -> They lose lots of customers

He's just impatient that he spent all of his mist and finished. He can't wait for the mist to regenerate and wants to do the missions quickly

I think that that would be a great idea. It would really feel welcoming to receive a mist tank like that, and would help newer players out a great deal. Older players would take advantage too, but so what? They're going to be rich either way, but the new players would be helped substantially more.

Benightz is just hating. OOO would most likely gain money due to people liking the game more, and the energy price would be lowered by this due to an increase in supply. Speaking of which, I'd really like to see more of "why this will happen" rather than "this is how it will be" when you guys hate on things like this. When I was newer to the game, people would have agreed with me had I posted something like this- why can't we discuss ways of improving the energy system any more? Its almost like suggesting socialism in the US, when you think about it.

The only thing that I would change about this, is that I'd rather it be a free mist tank on Friday or Saturday, but not both. Like, you log in during that period, you get a tank.

I still disagree

I'm not hating. It's just it will cause old players to make new alts and they can get mist tanks for free. Then they will keep making new alts and make a big profit from missions. They would make like over 10k per day. Remember, the rich people tend to rise the CE price once they get super rich. In fact, once they get a big amount of crowns, they will decide to rise it to probably over 16k crs.

Read my chain in my first post. You can finish the game easily.

Yes, it would be abusable.

Yes, it would help everyone whether they need it or not to progress.

Yes, it may contribute to rising energy prices by offering some free floor access.

Yes, it teaches newer players that the game will hand them everything on a silver platter.

Yes, we need something to teach newer players how the energy system works, but not by giving them freebies; they need to actually do something to earn it.

No, we do not deserve this.

I'm not very opposed to this

But a few qualifiers:
-Mist tank shouldn't be very large. 20 energy. Enough for one more mission.
-You may get one every Friday without having to log in, but only if you used the last one. No logging off for a few months to find you suddenly have 20 mist tanks.
-Bound to your character and et cetera.
-Getting your weekly mist tank requires having run 20 levels since last Friday OR running up a certain amount of surplus mist (400?), making it not so beneficial for alt-crafting.

Multiple accounts. Even if its bound to characters, you can tab yoruself with alts. You cant stop that.

My problem with making the game easier:

I'm sure most knights out there can relate to this.

Everytime I craft a new piece of equipment, I feel strangely powerful. I feel as if I've accomplished something special. Like I could take on 30 Vanadukes and 10,000 gremlins single-handedly. It's a truly amazing feeling, because I earned the crowns, I bought the recipe, and I earned the energy all by myself. It gives you a sense of achievement.

With this addition, you would get equipment every other day. It's just wouldn't feel right.

Power Surge weekends were the golden days of Spiral Knights..... The very first weekend of Power Surge, elevator costs were only 2 energy, I had too much fun. I also remember that each Power Surge, they gave away 10,000 Crystal Energy, as me being one of the winners. This is why I still play this game, the 10k CE they gave away to me for free.

Honk honk. Make way for the dead bunny.

The closest we would ever probably get to this is a mini mist tank in the prize wheel. 'Nuff said.

I think you guys are really over-estimating what a single tank of mist a week can do...

The game gives us ~700 mist energy a week. OP is suggesting OOO to raise that to ~800, which is only a 1/7 increase. New gear every other day? Say what? Older players abusing mist tanks? They already abuse the 700 mist they are given. "We don't deserve it!" is just wrong. Life has nothing to do with what people "deserve"... there is no justice. The world is and forever will be regardless of whether we favor it, in a Hobbesian nature state at its core.

-
Also,
@"Yes, we need something to teach newer players how the energy system works, but not by giving them freebies; they need to actually do something to earn it."

Newer players have to buy energy at 9000 ce, whereas most of the older players from the "steam era" if you will, had to buy it at around 5K. The game was a world easier back then, and even with this edition, the game would still be harder economically for newer players than it was when I started. This would make the game a lot more plausable to 'complete', if anything.

You're missing something. Mist tanks can and will be stored for future use, whether by accident or intentionally. Leaving people with massive stockpiles of tanks isn't a good way to teach them to conserve resources. More people don't learn to not e revive, and thus they don't learn the teamwork for the later levels. I'd bet they still wouldn't learn to use that mist when crafting or buying slots, either.

We already have something like inviting friends into Spiral Knights.

It gives a mini-mist tank each invite verified.

IS THAT ENOUGH?!

OR YE WANT TO DEBATE AGAINST THREE RINGS FOR A FULL MIST TANK??!

NONO, I SHOULDN'T SUGGEST THIS, IT'S THE SAME THING THAT DUKE SAID ABOVE.

*cough* *cough*

It's the same thing that Dukeplatypus said above, but in a different way in terms of storing. They'll abuse the invites by making new accounts and send more invitations and generate more mist tank.

So, nope.
No thanks.

YE HEAR ME?! NO.
