New level type suggestion: Spotlight movement

I've been playing for a long time, and I have had this idea for a while. A new floor or group of floors that have a much harder twist to it.

The said floors would be completely dark. I don't mean "Oh, I can see the edges of the walls " I mean pitch BLACK beyond light sources. The radar would be jammed as well, except for seeing your allies dots. At the beginning of the floor there would be a small light generator. The generator would cast a ring of light around it, about the radius of a Nitrome blast and acts like a statue.

The only light sources would be from torches, with no permanent light sources anywhere except for the elevators. Being outside of any light would cause low periodic damage. All enemies and items would not be visible unless they are within a light source.

The enemies on the floor would also be completely random, so that a wide range of weapons are needed for any possible encounters. This would make coordinating your equipment with your allies vital.

The idea of the floor is that the knights will have to carry the generator with them throughout the floor. This would take a high level of teamwork, deciding whether to have one knight carry it during fights so the others can have a mobile light source, or dropping it and having to fight in smaller area.

To prevent party griefing there should be at least momentary light sources, like a lamp that flickers on and off for a few seconds per interval and torches which can be grabbed and carried around similar to how statues can be moved around. I remember a thread involving light carrying through a dark area somewhere, it might be somewhere in my index.

The floor should be at least somewhat visible, like a vague silhouette of the background or a fog of w- oh my liquids how did I forget that.

Anyway, for the whole being in the dark part having lanterns you can pick up would be nice, but since one troll would be able to take it and do nothing there would still need to be other means of navigating without being completely blind and bumping into things that want to turn you inside out.

For enemies I would say Trojans, Ghostmanes, Chromalisks, and occasional hordes of zombies conveniently bunched together in a dead end hallway you were too distracted to notice while frolicking around blind. Mostly Ghostmanes because those little boogers are hilarious.

The idea could work as a swarm themed ultimate level of doom.
But not something you'd see every day on clockworks.

Same as Irthan, no random

Same as Irthan, no random monsters and no damage out of the light ring, although some kind of monster such as grimalkins but detectable by sound could be used if you get out of the ring.

+1 for the idea tho, I like it.
