So I probably should have accumulated my suggestions into one post... but I keep thinking of things... and want to share:

Have gates/rooms that allow people of a certain rank into a room for private conversations, or have a gate item that can be opened to allow people to enter (thought of this after the Epic disco room in the EoS GH)

...

Sure, but why not just use Officer chat or PM the individual?

My My.

Again, I'm glad you're so invigorated about the new Guildhall update, but check this thread before posting--it helps remove clutter.

@Mwahahaha: Sorry I didn't

@Mwahahaha: Sorry I didn't have the time to read through all of that - just wanted to suggest it.

@Severage: It would allow you to talk to say a group of veterans, or allow individuals in regardless of rank or guild and discuss something as a group.

Well, just saying, there are other ways to do this....

Talk to a group regardless of rank = Guild Chat.
Talk to a group of high ranks = Officer Chat.
Talk to a specific person = PM.
Talk to a random group of people = Haven 15, for example, or another mostly dead Haven.

The feature is mainly so you

The feature is mainly so you get a visual of everyone around you as well as allowing you have a discussion with a group of people that you decide without having to be be in the same guild as them or at the same rank.

You pointed out something quite important tho, it should prevent friends from joining people inside the the restricted room, and i guess those not in it shouldn't be able to hear chatter.

@Tokxin:

I'm not sure how possible that is.

If you say anything publicly in the Guild Hall anywhere, I don't think it has a range. To make one for a specific room...not quite sure how possible that is.

Anyway, my guild goes into the Meeting room, and uses the Officer chat, or public chat.

I mean, what could you really have secret that you can't share with other officers? Or specific 1 on 1 conversations? I can't think of any situations where this would be necessary.
