I was unsure where to put this, so I figured here would be a good spot.
I've been playing over a year now, a bit lazily though there were some things I had heard were removed when they were only ever released in Beta servers, back when those seemed to pop up every month or so.
The first I had heard of being the Super Brawl Crown. A special cosmetic helmet that was to be released at the same time with Blast Network. he current wiki page > http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Super_Brawl_Crown explains how the item would have worked, though what confused people was why it was deleted. People wore the Royal Jelly Crown to make "Royal" outfits, even more now that Shadow Lairs exist and the Ice Queen Crown was made, but staying on track with when this Super Brawl Crown was made...
Rumors went around, supposedly information from players that played in the Beta Servers at that time that had assisted in testing the Blast Network mode saying that the item was removed simply do to an increase of hacking. People cheating simply to boost their scores to try and earn the helmet in any way they could. And for those who may not realize. Boosting is a form of cheating, as its abusing the design of the game to quicken your progress through it (Which is not the same as Grinding)
Something I had always wondered is why this item was never attempted to return, or even what the reason was it for being canceled in the first place. It could have been simply obtainable like some bombmasks. Just having to pay a high enough amount of tokens to get it, if the score idea made the crown too exclusive
The second thing was something I actually only realized recently. An entire 5 floor dungeon called "Starlight Cradle" was tested in Beta servers and revolved around the unusual status effect, sleep. It basically used odd slimes that could inflict the sleep status effect, which for those that have actually thrown sleep vials, CAN (but doesn't mean it always will) trap/stun a monster better then actually stunning or freezing the beast. Though at the same time it causes a VERY slow regen to the effected target.

So on top of maybe reviving the new idea (Even though it's kinda old when looked at when originally brought to the public), bring back the sleep status effect. From where the status effect stands now it actually seems to be good. Having items that could actually inflict and protect from sleep would be a nice idea.
Sleep was the only status effect thats seems to have been almost completely removed. Aside from the vials and weakness to sleep on platerarmor. I even remember when a number of enemies could actually inflict sleep. Though all I remember exactly was that there was a version of the bat, that instead of it being stun or poison or something nasty. it ends up being a bat with sleep. Which at the time, I had personally found harder to be then then any of the other monsters at the time, because sleep was, and still is, a rather unusual effect
Of overall, I guess I'm asking for some sort of return for the lost status effect, Sleep, and the cosmetic Helmet, The Super Brawl Crown.
What does everyone else think on these things?
And I want to apologize now if these things were already discussed somewhere on the forums because if there is, I was unable to find it
Unable to find it is because it's hardly brought up, save for the Super Brawl thing.
Personally, I haven' tried Superbrawl, but from what I've heard, and seen in LD, Superbrawl is no real contest. The weapon with the highest damage per second (Hey, I just realized, is that was dps stands for?) wins the match, as long as the user can point it in the right direction.
As for Starlight Cradle, it sounds like an interesting field of battle, although I don't know how OP sleep can be. In theory, having your opponent sleep while you beat them with a stick is a very effective way to kill something (I used Tranq darts and my fists on Maximum Strength in Crysis, works just as well), but considering you're the person being beaten with a stick, I'm not entirely sure how Sleep would work.
I suppose the mechanic could be made as to 'sleep when inflicted, wake when it either wears off of you take damage', but I don't know enough to comment deeper than that.
In any case, -1 for Superbrawl, +0.5 for Starlight. So far.
