Make catalyzer charge shots tag guarding enemies

Currently, the gun of catalysts has massive weaknesses of slowness, necessity to prepare, and unreliability. But what if the charge shots tagged, even if the enemy is guarding or invulnerable? This may seem abuseable at first, but if you have to hit them in the first place to make it blow up. If you can't hurt the enemy with normal shots, you can't trigger the charges either. The idea is a way to rack "Damage" on invulnerable enemies, and then blowing them up when you see an opening.

Tell me what you think. It just occurred to me today when I was trying to think of ways to get it off that "Collect the dust shelf".

The gun is almost useless in those situations otherwise.

This would give the Catalyzer a purpose beyond sulking in the Pulsar's shadow. It'd still be a specialty gun only effective in certain specific scenarios, but at least it'd have its own niche.

As a gunslinger, I support this!

Hrrrm. This might make it a great boss killer weapon if you can stick the charges on during their invulnerable stages...
Though there might be some programing issues with this and may be the reason why it's like that now. A lot of simple problems are much more complex under the hood.
Still, I'm hoping the new Iron Slug/combat stuff rework will bring some love to this poor gun as well.

I've already suggested this and I'm still in favour of it.

Honestly

Giving the catalyzer this unique ability would be more intuitive and provide people a far more excellent approach to some annoying pve situations...
Invinci-RJ would make a prime target for a biohazard charge rush.

As long as the detonation explosion only damages vulnerable points it should be fine to tag charges on invulnerable points.

Like sticky bombs. No damage on the ground, more damage when you pound. Because people like to spam them. Floppy floppy.

For those times you really want to kill that Trojan that just insists on facing you, but you can't quite figure out how. Also, for Mecha Knights.

EDIT: And Battlepods. And Vana's mask. And Mortafires.
...And Royal Jelly. And Snarbolax.

EDIT #2: And Maulos.
