It's a three star shield with no alchemy path just like the Swiftstrike Buckler, except it also protects against elemental damage as well and supplies and a two health bonus instead of an attack speed increase. Would you ever use it for tier 3 levels?
If not, then how much of a health bonus would you say it would need to have to be a considerable shield to use in tier 3?
I've seen it pop up a few times when running RJP and IMF for tier 2 guildies. It ain't a bad shield for that early game, it just doesn't go anywhere and the recipe is rather rare I believe.

I forget if it is in the Hall of Heroes. I didn't think so, but I could be wrong (I never wanted one :P)

No one asked you, Vernon. Anyway. I would make its health bonus apply as a party bonus but it would be kind of like these by only one application of the bonus applies. That means if you have four people each with a Scarlet only one of them will give the party health bonus and the others will simply act normally, only giving more max health to yourself. Then a little more health or defense. What? Sharing bonuses with your teammates? That sounds too crazy. It would mean people building equipment to help each other instead of getting the prettiest clone set with the most accessories they can possibly clutter it with. Preposterous. Everyone knows cooperative gameplay has nothing to do with this game. Who needs supportive tactics and planning when we could all spam Brandishes in our pink frilly ballerina dresses while wearing pale pink stockings and flopping around with pixie wands until the flames of hell burst through the singed gr-

Main problem right now is Tier scaling. You could say even Swiftstrike Buckler has this problem.
It may be a decent tradeoff with the lack of defense in T3 but pretty much OP in T2.
If they find a way so that the shield gives different bonsues per tier, much like armor and helms, it could get a buff...

I use it as costume. It's close enough to orange to go pretty well Hallow stuff.

Also I don't really see the point since weapons dont even show up in the haven. A shield costume slot would be nice though.
I use FoV for costume sometimes too, but that doesn't show up if I have full inspect off for whatever reason and it's a completely different type of item. If I wanted a firey shield, I'd use Dragon Scale.
Unlike the Swifty, the Scarlet Shield has a mainly mediocre bonus. I would never use it in T3 (unlike the Swifty, but ima kinda good at dodging and it is kinda OP).
For it to be viable in T3... It'd need a +12 HP bonus IMO.
That is why it stops at 3*.
