100% = can lvl up twice... I mean... you know you can save 90 radiant fire crystal that way?

Pistol is best weapon in TF2
I do think the lower rates could be more forgiving on a failure. We could just say that "as soon as the process is clearly going to fail, the Knight stops the Forge and salvages whatever Fire Crystals they can" and maybe get around a quarter to a half of their Fire Crystals back.

What it really needs:
Fix equipment(add alchemy lines to gear that needs it)
Balance equipment(operation crimson hammer gear is way too strong. i can understand that as a reward for the dlc, but it just destroyed pvp)
fix orb drops(the old rate was good)
change elite mode completely, so that it is a extra challenge mode for players that actually need it, and not a "use it to farm stuff" mode.
add a way to trade dlc/packs in game and give other players a option to get it with in game currency

we don't need old gear reworked, we need new gear.
on balancing is ok, but OCH gear is nothing compared to the hordes of flourishes/DA/GF/Polaris.
orb drops doesn't need fixing, you are supposed to get them as an additional reward, not as the main way to craft gear. besides, you get enough to buy them by the time you get fire crystals.
dlc trading and such was already to be implemented, so I think it's all Valve's fault.
