Woot Acheron buff (it deserved it for not having a status, see alch guns for a good example). I am hoping that after the halloween event is over the Shroud of the Apocrea becomes a normal prestige mission (this way you can still be able to get the weapons).

Acheron didnt need a buff i dont think. l always felt the brandishes were a bit too powerful already.
and I really really enjoyed not having any type of early revs in Lockdown.
Other than that, i can't wait.

Acheron did feel slightly underpowered
Eeh, Acheron needed a tweak. I found myself using a combuster at jelly king instead of my Acheron one too many times.

The Obsidian weapons earned
The Obsidian weapons earned in Shroud of the Apocrea are new items, much like the Black Kat event items.
These weapons are very difficult to acquire during one event and will likely require players to gain them over time. Apocrean Sigils never expire. The Shroud of the Apocrea mission will return in the future, though there's no telling what machinations the Apocrea will have crafted by then.

I take it this new mission is gonna end up and come back like the Black kats? Also, does this mean sparks and craft orbs are even RARER now? Because I was doing jelly king and RT's back and forth and got 3 elites in like 9 alterations.

The orb ratio is off
I just find it awkward to have more eternals than any other kind of orb. It should be so eternals drop at strata 6 only

Using sparks of life in the
Using sparks of life in the Coliseum will function in the same manner as it did when you could revive early with energy. The only difference is that now you revive early with a spark of life instead of escalating energy costs.

Hmm true
I mean, that messes up game balance, but monetarily with real money I could see early revives funding the game. Often I see vh UV crafting as a one time deal, but revives are never one time only.

Since my topic was deleted ahem...
I have some questions, Nick:
'Weapons:
- Obsidian Edge, 5* sword
- Obsidian Crusher, 5* bomb
- Obsidian Carbine, 5* handgun'
Are these reskinned equipment? Such as The Bitter End was a Reskin of the Grey Owlite Shield?
"- 25% chance for all Obsidian Prize Boxes to also contain Shadow Accessories"
Does this mean that there is a confirmed new type of accessory? Such as, 'Shadow Maid Headband' etc? Or are they the current Shadow variants? (Shadow Dragon Wings, Shadow Valk. Wings, etc)
"- An effect is now played when learning a recipe"
I'm disappointed that I can't see this as I have every single recipe learned.
And lastly:
"Successfully completing Shroud of the Apocrea solo is very difficult and it is advised you attempt this mission with a party"

But escalating energy costs made players more and more hesitant to use revives. Whereas for many players, Sparks of Life are "free", meaning that for at least as long as those reserves last, they'll continuously come immediately off respawn.

Regarding the weapons, they are not identical in function to any weapon currently in the game, no.
Regarding the shadow accessories, they are an extension of the few shadow accessories that have already been released. There is now a full set of shadow accessories, including wings and such released before available in the Obsidian Prize Box.
Regarding 'is this a challenge,' yes, it most certainly is :)

Acheron buff?! Yeah, it must deal more damage because it doesn't inflict a status, but OOO could just nerf the Elemental Brandishes. There's not much difference between a Brandish and a Ban Stick. Everything becomes even more pointless when you OHKO everything... Now buff Chaos-it doesn't give ASI, and nerf Iron Slug because it's OP...

Well the run in and combo
Well the run in and combo groups play style will rise. Since reviving is faster than actually going back to heal and nets more reward then trying to stay alive and playing defensively. And now no escalating revive prices will allow players to continuously revive at a "low" cost. Say 10 revives now would only cost 200 energy compared to the 3582 energy it cost before.
