If you could add anything to Spiral Knights, What would it be?
A no-polaris and no-AT Lockdown option.
However, lockdown was born with gangrene, in the form of AT and Polaris. They let it rot too much, and the damage is irreversible at this point. They had something really special going, and they lost it....
A bigger playerbase. Everything else would come soon enough....
More prize box exclusive weapons. Not the reskins, the Mixmaster kind of stuff. That's what I really want more of in this game!
Sarcasm aside, I don't really care what is put into the game at this point. As long as it doesn't take years to make. I think it would be best to see some weapon balances and new level varieties. We have a pretty good selection of weapons already, the problem is that most of them are over shadowed by the clearly better choices. There is also not much point in playing with new weapons due to the staleness of repeating levels. OOO has shown some new features that will likely be put into future missions or random Arcade levels in some of the more recent missions, so that is a good sign.
I'm voting for surface levels. Why go down after all these years when we can go up a mountain now? (Oh yea, because that makes Grinchlin Assault.)
- A progressional level editor would make me log in every day to try my hand at level creation.
- A guild item preview, so that when you're in Bachemal's chair in your guildhall you can access all guild storages that you have access to and preview what's inside of them.
- A new arcade option that starts upon reaching the core. We would have a new gate and it would have no bosses in it, and instead when you reached the core you would have the option to descend. You'd go through two "A Step Beyond" levels, then reach an endless "swarm" mode.
This would essentially be like a boss rush/endless arena. You fight alongside Euclid in this arena, and have wave upon wave of swarm enemies. There could be some new swarm enemies, and every 5 waves you'd get some treasure boxes. Every 10 waves you'd have a boss fight, and during the boss fight Euclid would stop fighting and instead work on getting the elevator working - if you choose to leave then, you get an additional 5 prize boxes per boss you defeated, and return to Haven. If you choose to stay, you must go through another 10 waves before getting that reward room - you can't go back after entering it, thus it is a party button.
This would be a lot of fun, and give breath to the arcade over missions. Each wave would become more difficult, and you'd be forced to use whatever weapons you started with to fight a random boss monster, so I hope you brought something worthwhile!
Randomized, very difficult end game that requires effort to get to. Sure you can join people at the core, but you have no health capsules or vitapods for the first 5 waves, and then you have to rely on RNG to like you for those.
Since it's the core, this would also solve the radiant issue much more than Dreams and Nightmares already did. It would be nice if core rewards were randomized so you can get any orb or fire crystal, and any tier of consumable.Rarity drops would be 50% tier 3, 35% tier 2, 15% tier 1. Alternatively, consumable drops would be 50% tier 2, 25% tier 1, 25% tier 3.
Overall I just really want to see something done with the core that is a survival mode, as Dreams and Nightmares did something like that really well, however it has an end. And endless mode such as the described above would give a lot of life to the endgame where it desperately is needed.
That's all I really want. Additionally a PvP mode where you ride on top of monsters like a jousting thing, but that's just something that sounds fun in its concept however might be hard to make work well in gameplay.
-An actually opposing villain in the Spiral Knights lore, like Tinkinzar with the power to level an entire clockwork level with his own mind.
-Better gender signifiers, give male and female Spiral Knights option, with beards and breasts respectively. (and finally giving me a reason to play an Alt)
-Story lines and plots that actually matters, not this stupid Herex's joker scheme.
-An ultimate end game boss that doesn't require the aid of re-spawning enemies, excessive floor hazards and cheap shielding.
-Have some grey-er moral that depicts Spiral Knights as just as evil, greedy and power hungry as any Gremlins.
-Fix of the loot system
-Add a DOTA2 like class system into LD, no more Polaris, UV and AP complain and the classes can be balanced with patches that will not harm the PvE experience.
Weapons and shields for absolutely every set existing.
Also the Cold Edge, Freezing Edge, Toxic Edge, and Virulent Edge.
More developers dedicated to working on Spiral Knights.
But as a feature, since "devs" sort of dodges the question? Swords and guns that are more support weapon oriented. For example, make wildfire do less damage but fire 100% of the time and no knockback, with weapons like rigadoon, triglav and flamberge following suit for some of their hits.
i do like midnight dj first idea i could wreck my own ass :D
-no, you wouldnt
-yes, i would
-DOOOOH
-DOOOOOOOOH
*becomes best friends with himself*
Hmmm...I don't know, maybe players...that would definitely be a start.
I want new rooms for randomized levels. I've seen every single type of room that you can get in Clockwork Tunnels and I know where everything spawns.
Incentives to play the Arcade.
If I get to chose the next thing, I want even more stuff in the Arcade.
I would like to add the removal of forge.
Seen a lot of good ideas for things to add into SK, but I'm going to choose a very silly thing, I would add.... an axe, yep, just a good ole war axe with a unique combo.
What else can I say? when I get into a game where there's knights swords and hammers I expect to be able to get an axe aswell... AXE
Players and Decent developers
I don't know why people says actual stuff when Devs could keep making more instead of one thing
A new difficulty that pretty much reverts all nerfs monster have received through the years oh and make FSC debris hurt again.
(Hello old fire deconstruction zone)
-For the recruits from 'Breaking in the Recruits' to come with me for all future adventures.
-Level editor. And don't make it cost 3200 CE.
-Virtual training room for the Guild Hall which you can operate to spawn monsters, blocks, hazards, etc.
Bow and arrow l. Like knights come on
Level Editor, Mod Support.
The community could probably make more in a month than OOO has in the past 5 years.
Even if all we made were all reskins and changing the damage type of weapons, that's pretty much what the gunner update was and that took like two years.
Well, it didn't take much for this to turn into a tears thread haha.
stay salty kiddos.
Devs that care... (or at least allow community to submit content so they have less work)
You can post exactly the same thing on "Reskinned weapons you would like to see".
A much, much larger community, probably about 10x the current size, and enough of them being intelligent and paying customers for OOO/SEGA to actually support the game. From there, we can ask for actual specific things and have some chance of getting them.
I like the idea Fangel had, or just an option to eternally fight. That'd bring up some significant roleplay...if only that was in-game...
When I first played SK, I was wondering where the other towns were besides Haven. I love the idea of actually traveling Cradle instead of just going vertical within it.
Some massive levels wouldn't suck too bad either. Like, way bigger arenas and such.
Also, promos need to chill for a minute. An addition in armor styles or costumes wouldn't suck, as long as it wasn't found with, like, only one type of costume for one single promo. Tired of all the Wolver coats looking more like cylinders.
Wigs though. I'm thinking wigs.
And capes.
And environment spaces without much enemy hassle.
BUT I realize the devs are trying really hard right now to get people interested in the game, and even though it sucks that they can't get around to our garbage, they want more people so they ensure that they ever have the CHANCE to get around to our garbage. Thanks OOO for trying.
Definitely what Hexyle said : http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/86591.
Developing smaller and fast packs of updates, instead of big packs.
Experiment different animations of attacks with 0* and 1* weapons to introduce them later on 5* weapons.
And the next new weapons could be just dropped by boxes, enemies or chests on new scenario rooms.
Well, I have other ideas, but these appear to be enough and is also a good start.
I do not want any of the things you said at the moment, and they only thing I want is for the game developers to actively talk to us, and to not be afraid of "insulting" us. Quite frankly they have offended me more than they ever will because they ignore us and treat us as tiny, infidel ants.
I bet most people are against such feature and let's think about how useless it might be in dangerous dungeons where a wrong-side step will take 1/5 health. However, it sounds fun and can bring more tactics for pve and pvp. I'm up for it. (Dual rocket hammers, lol)
P.S. *Joke about how small the text*
A larger community would be nice as previously stated, but my suggestions:
-Rust:Status effect that keeps your shield "broken" until it wears off.
-A boss that does that status effect, preferably a snake looking one.
-A weapon that you get from defeating the boss multiple times.
So basically a mission.
And I don't think I'm the only one that's thought of this but there should be a handgun called "Grenade Launcher" which is pretty self explanitory on it's uses.
I bet most people are against such feature and let's think about how useless it might be in dangerous dungeons where a wrong-side step will take 1/5 health
Despite the common attitude that Dual-Wielding would be very dangerous and unviable, the reality of the situation (and 90% the reason why it wouldn't be implemented) is infact the opposite.
Dual-Wielding is overpowered as it boosts damage considerably with little penalty (if monsters are dead, they can't attack you)
Consider the buff to Chaos and Acheron, and imagine if Three Rings buffed them both again by the same amount. That is what Dual-Wielding would do to what fragments of balance remain in this game.
*Cough cough http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/111824 cough cough* :(
Sorry, I had something in my throat.
Gremlin Mender robes and hoods for costumes, as well as when I talked about being able to craft the Celestial Shield itself during an event that would've occurred during this time.
As well as a gremlin monster pocket of sorts. Hey, the Tenderfoots are cute... at least when they try their hardest to get you.
Already expressed my opinion on this, and it's none of your examples
http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/86591
That, and for Three Rings to make missions less linearly restrictive.
