Setting a general price for materials?

I'm afraid I won't be able to contribute much to this discussion as I have yet to buy or sell materials (did it a few times in the beta but I won't count that).
But I think maybe there should be some discussion about what price to sell materials for at least as a base especially given the lack of an in game market to sell these items. This could help create personal updatable selling threads (I was considering this in the future). Along with easing the pain of wondering are you selling at a fair price.
Perhaps something by star level? Once again, I don't know much so these are just random numbers mostly. There's not much reasoning behind the numbers I've provided (if a consensus is reached later, I could try updating this post should I still be playing).
0 star - 100
1 star - 500
2 star - 1000
3 star - 2000
4 star - 3000
5 star - 10000
I'm aware some items would be worth more than others even in a particular star level (such as swordstone).
Now by all means, please discuss from your experiences if you deem this worthy of a discussion. Considering the game just started officially, this could be your chance to influence the future.
Another thread by someone else: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/3777
Was the star level changed? Last time I got one it was a 4*.

@Sick, wiki says four stars, but I've never gotten one so I wouldn't know, things could change.
@Topic
Hmm really, well I already wrote I knew a few items stood out but I guess its more than I thought. That being said, there's a little less than 80 items I think so if you have an idea of prices, or anyone else. Please throw out a range. Even if you only have one suggested item to add, that could be helpful.

(Personal note, last left off on posting at static clinger in the 2 star class)
Currently, the prices for materials are fluctuating because there's a lot of demand, and low supply; They're worth as much as the seller wants them to be. In the future, I'm going to edit my own wiki userpage to host some material pricing info, for self-reference and referencing my guild/friends. However for now, based on rarity, star level, and the such of materials, this is how much I'm willing to pay myself for materials, and willing to sell for aswell:
0 star (shards): 100cr each. All very common, but used in every craft.
1 star: 100cr - 300cr each. No rares here, and most aren't used for every craft.
2 star (common/unused): 500cr each.
2 star (rare/popular): 1000cr each. High demand, low stock, and some are rare aswell. This would be, for example, Swordstone or Monster bones.
3 star (common/unused): 2000cr each.
3 star (rare/popular): 3000cr each. Certain materials such as Drake Scale or Critter Carapace are quite rare, thus worth a lot.
4 star (general?): 4000cr - 5000cr. Four star materials are currently in low demand, and most of them have about the same drop rate aswell, so they're all about the same price.
5 star (common): 7500cr - 10000cr. Only drops in T3, which can be difficult to get to and complete. Demand is low.
5 star (rare): 15000cr - 20000cr, possibly more. In example, this would be mats such as Philoso Feather or Dragon Scale. (unsure about their actual drop rate now, but they were rare pre-wipe)
Those prices might seem wrong, since some people usually are too greedy or too cheap, (I have seen some players wanting to sell Monster Bones for 2kcr a piece, and some others attempting to buy ~10 swordstone for only 2kcr...) however in general, considering their rarity, tier level and the general difficulty to obtain, those are about the fair prices.
Note that some materials can be obtained by using tokens - The price of those specific materials might be less than the usual, because of that.
And also note that in the future, as gates change, the price of various materials will be fluctuating tons; Every material, except for shards, only drops from specific monsters, often being only from a certain race of monsters (For example, construct and Sun Silver or Trojans and Trojan Horseshoes) or only specific status mobs. (materials such as hailstone, torchstone, spark of life, etc) Although several of those mats can be obtained with tokens, it will still prove to be an obstacle to gathering those specific materials at a high end.

Yeah I know markets change. I play a game called Dead Frontier where sometimes people worry more about prices in the market than killing zombies... I'm just trying to get a reaaaaaaally rough basis here.
I'll use what you said to match pupus price range for all shards then. (50-100).
You both basically have the same thing about swordstone and monster bones (which is good).
I don't have the time at this exact moment to go find all 4 stars and use your price for now, but I'll try to do it later. Still in anything if you have any stand out examples like you did for monster bones and drake scales (and this is a note for anyone) please specify.
EDIT: If you notice this reply appearing as new a lot, its because I use it for my bumps just in case anyone actually contributes something new based off what they have seen.

I price my materials depending on how many I have and if I have a use for it. If I have no use for a Silver Coil, you can bet that I'll sell it at 500 crowns.
I'm the crazy merchant you should watch out for (and one to potentially profit from!). I gave away materials up to 3* for free during the closed preview while selling 4* and 5* materials for under 7k. Yup... good times XD
0* 150 crowns
1* 500 crowns
2* 1000 Crowns
3* 2000 crowns
4* 3000 crowns
5* 10000 crowns
I sell below you guys as I prefer moving products off the shelf rather then wait for that 1 time windfall of money.

mm... not that that's a decision but I'm putting those in my (failed) first post. I tend to see prices a bit less than that on shards (0 star) but that's always about demand of course :-)
Oh also the 2*, 1* and 0* are fairly cheap as I don't want to taint new (free) players experiences.

Requested bump from a related topic :-)
I changed 0 star items to 100.

Updated, but to be honest, they were already selling at 100 lol...I had written that in elsewhere.
Meanwhile...with all this stuff about CE going on..we definitely could use that market place...

(random promo for the idea)
[EDIT: Now the new bump post]
Static Clinger is used in Volt Breaker armor line. I have those recipes so I can confirm it.

they go for around 3k -5k crowns silver coil and sould dust are somewhat rare so about 1k-3k (depending on demand )

Ah, thanks Kaybol, I thought that was strange. But there's still nothing here.

I did look in the wiki, it is used in the armors you said though. Updating that shortly. I'll use the two star base price then.
Setting a set price on materials is a dumb and almost futile idea, unless you have an auction house, the prices fluctuate a lot just from day to day not to mention the more people play(for longer) the more they drop in value, and with any rare material getting shoved into the Token Vendor you're better off just haggling prices that fit you you'd be surprise at the success you can have.
You'd need a very efficient competent person Updating the thread almost daily to have an accurate list if you ask me, but hey good luck with that.

I won't lie, I use this as a personal price thing, but also as the other person who's post is linked at the bottom of the original post has alternative ideas, the purpose of bumping this is just to get an idea for myself and for others, people have used it so it doesn't matter to me, the most helpful thing anyone can offer is more advice and corrections based off of what they see themselves.
Stars have little to do with rarity and usefulness.
To give a few examples:
Gel drops are 1*, but they are so abundant that nobody ever needs them. Current price: Ask a friend if you need some
Gremlin gizmos are 2*, but they are so abundant that nobody ever needs them. Current price: Ask a friend if you need some
Blue shards are 0*, abundant and useful. Current price: 50-100
Monster bones are 2*, somewhat rare, and quite usueful. Current price: 500-1000
Swordstones and Iron Gears are 2*, rarer, and quite useful. Current price: 1000-1500
Forbidden fruits are 2*, somewhat rare, but nobody needs them. Current price: ???
Flame souls are 5*, rare, but they can be farmed in Firestorm Citadel.
Trojan horseshoes are 5*, really rare, but only useful for crafting one weapon that few people use.
Sun silvers are 5*, really rare, useful, but you can get one from the token merchant now.
