Hi! I made another thread.
I play PvP in SK a lot, mostly Lockdown. In fact, I play it so much that it has delayed my advancement past Tier two for several months. (Note: this is probably also in part because I am lazy and I think T2 is fun.) In my many hours on the battlefields, I have noticed a lot of things that I think need changing/fixing. So, this thread will be a place for me and any others who visit to share their PvP problems, solutions, and suggestions. That is what this forum is for, after all.

SUGGESTION 1: new maps/map rotation
-New maps are always a good thing. Not a priority perhaps, but always nice to add variety once in a while.
-As in most games with multiple maps, map creation improves as the game gets older and the mapmakers get ore experienced. Sometimes there are some bumps *coughLagbitecough*, but usually this is the case. SCII is a prime example of this, with the first maps created being exponentially worse than current maps. What happens there should happen here too: once the map pool gets too big, remove the maps that are unpopular, unbalanced, or just plain boring.
SUGGESTION 2: different modes of PvP besides LD and BN.
-I realize that these would take a lot of dev time, so I would not be surprised if a lot of these never get added.
- One mode, which I have been thinking about a lot recently with the release of Planetside 2 Beta and GW2, is Expanded Lockdown. This would be lockdown with more than 12 players, maybe up to 10 or 20 per side. It would have bigger maps, more CP's, etc. it would also (hopefully) increase the need for and effectiveness of team-based play, in both GvG and Random matches.
- LordofNecromancers' Storm the Fortress
SUGGESTION 3: PvP VOIP
-This is a fairly simple one; there is already a working voice-over-IP system in the clockworks. Just add the system to PvP, so teams can be actually play together and people can relay events (like "they're capping point 2" or "defend point 4") without having to stop moving their character and type in the chat that few people read for battle reports anyway.
SUGGESTION 5: custom PvP teams/servers
- The current system SK uses to find PvP matches for normal players is a lobby-based matchmaking system. This system was developed for consoles because for whatever reason, (if someone knows please tell me), console players either didn't want or couldn't handle server browsers. PC games have never had this problem, and SK clearly falls into this category. So, why not use the better system? Allow users to create and run servers or at least matches, and let players choose which match they want to join or spectate.
-An alternative to (^this^): make players be able to create custom teams like in GvG, but for random play and being able to invite guildies and friends into the team as if it were a clockworks party.
SUGGESTION 6: my other thread
SUGGESTION 7: Canozo's thread
Any other suggestions for this type of thing post here and I will try to add to the OP if the idea is plausible and credible.

Spiral knights itself is a MMO, wich needs to use a main server. Thats why pvp has a 'matchmaking' system.
The core of the game wasnt thought as other multiplayer games like say Counter-strike or Call of Duty (they are FPSs not MMOs). Here PvP is a minigame after all.
