I start running away from the void guardian. I run west towards the city and charged up a energy bolt as I was running. I heard the void guardian sword swipe near me. I did a running jump and turned around 180 degrees and launched the energy bolt. It seemed to temporary stunned him and I moved through the city at very fast speed. I go around the corner and see the void guardian going angry and started to run away. I look in the AH when the void guardian run away. There wasn't much except some rare accessory's. I run back to Desna's army to figure out what to do.
Game of Death (roleplay story thread)
Nevo turned around, gripping both of the weapons tightly. say. These are really good. How many did I kill? 20? 30? With that one charge? I gotta get me a weapon like this. " My name's Nevo. Nice to meet you" Nevo said. He pointed to Nitscu, and added: "That's...Well, I don't know his name, but he's saved my butt a few times, so be nice to him." Nevo started to walk away, when he remembered something. He turned back around, and said:
" By the way, me and Serah know about your "Past job". I wouldn't forget the face of an assassin anywhere."
Claire shook her head ruefully. It's only a job if you get paid. She was about to continue on her way to Haven, but as she glanced back at Nitscu, she thought, I don't really want to leave him... She ducked into an alley and leaned against the wall. Pull yourself together Claire! You don't need this guy. You're letting your emotions get the better of you. It's probably just the drugs anyways.
But I think he wants to help.
How can he help!? All he'll probably do is take away your warp dust, and we know how well that'll turn out.
Maybe he can get me into a recovery ward.
You can't get there yourself?
Well...no, not really. If they recognize me, they'll think I've 'come back,' which I haven't. If they don't recognize me, they'll just shoot me.
How's that man supposed to change all that?
He could vouch for me.
Puh-lease. The word of a random knight isn't going to stop them from shooting a murderer.
But he could still help, like by fighting his way in or something.
Ugh, seriously? Violence? No. Besides, he only likes you because you're pretty. He doesn't love you.
...so? Maybe he will...
Oh come on! Why is that good enough for you? Are you so desperate that you'll settle for just any random guy who falls for you!?
No!
You make me sick. Falling all over yourself for that guy. You deserve better.
Wait, what? A drug-addict like me deserves a great, wonderful guy!?
No, I didn't say-
Yes you did. I'm gonna stick with him, and that's final.
She turned her head. How long has that young man (Nitscu) been standing there?
((OOC: slight power play there, sorry! I hope you don't mind?))
Daud gave another savage cry as he grabbed a weak wolver, from the way it was wimpering and trying to get away one would assume it had given up. With a quick strike from his right and the Wolver became still, and moved never more. Turning and looking around for more enemies Daud reached out to another weak enemy and did much the same making sure everything that stood before him died, quick and painless all the way to a slow and remorseful death. As he kept going it was clear to anyone how Daud got his morbid nick name.

Skotino's ships managed to get the rest of the way their. As they landed Skotino himself walked off the gangplank to the ground and looked across the battle field. "Hmm." Was all he said as a the group that was on his ship disbursed in all directions to make the area secure. But the battle had already done that meaning they had little work to do. Walking to were he saw a face he remembered Skotino smiled unseen and spoke. "Desna, if it has not been awhile. Or do you even remember me." He then turned and looked at Daud who was in a Rage. "Some one going to stop him?" He shrugged, "Never mind let him get it out of his system. So Desna, whats going on? I was on my way to Section 37 in Haven but I come here and see a battle just finishing. Should I be worried or something?"
((OoC: IDK if this version knows Skotino or not. Hits the 'do you remember me' since the last time they met Skotino was discharged because of his actions and deeds. Thus he is were he is.))
OOC: Not an insult or anything, but sometimes I don't understand some people's posts..... Not that coherent. Sorry if you feel insulted... I was like that once... then I *kinda* improved.....

Serris sighed, sank into his chair, and turned on his tablet. He made a neural connection to the Finder, and saw what she was seeing. Knew what she was seeing.
Good..... Another weakness ready to be exploited. Serris grinned, and continued. That 'Claire' isn't going to detect him, with her mind messing her up like that.
Time to play with her mind. Serris sent a thought into the Finder's mind, 'I don't trust him.'
If it doesn't work, it would still mess her up. Maybe let that...... boy think she's crazy.
I don't trust him.
But...but he spared my life, even when he knew I was the assassin! How could I not trust him?
Wait wait wait...I don't have a secretary...
__________
The secretary opened the door. "Serris? There's a phone call for you." Serris deadpanned at her and retorted, "Yeah, and there's a booty call for you too. Get out of here." She nodded and backed out, a little shaken by his rudeness. Time to get back to manipulating.
__________
WHO THE HECK IS THIS!?
...
Oh ho! I should have known...
A wide smile crossed her face. Why don't we play a little game? She planted a thought in Serris's mind, a much more terrifying one: You will not escape me. I will find you. And when I do, I will kill you. I am the Finder.
__________
Serris tumbled backwards in his chair. The secretary opened the door again, and seeing him on the floor, asked, "Are you okay?" She hoped he wasn't. But Serris just sat up and muttered, "Yeah, I'm okay." **** IT!! Okay, I gotta hand it to her, that was pretty scary...
Serris rubbed his hand on his head, then grimaced. He turned on his tablet, located the largest vaults that stored the Dust, and with a touch, blew them sky high. (He's got dynamite in every building and bank just in case the owners get any thoughts of opposing the 'established government.')
He then proceeded to blow up some of the most material filled banks on the face of Cradle. Grinning, he entered the Neural connection again, sending Claire a picture instead of a thought.
All the Warp Dust vaults being blown sky high. No more warp dust for her. What would become of her? Serris chuckled, grabbed his
((I hadn't posted in a long time. :/))
Strangely, I take the boy's hand. It seems strong, warm, the same as how welcoming his face was. It... reminds me of something. I feel strange. I shrug it off, and try to keep up with the boy.
The boy wraps his arms around Eve, a strange thing to do to a stranger. He mumbled into her ear, "Hang on." And in an instant, teleported Eve and himself into the Rescue Ranger's Headquaters. It has been abandoned, after the Operator's appearance. He grips Eve tightly, and brings her to a room.
"Rest. I will bring you to the others when it is time."
Who is this boy?
The break room was closer to a cafeteria/mess hall than anything. Food, tables, people eating, the usual. However, not being hungry yet, I just headed for the training hall, maybe getting some sword practice or something...
Upon entering, I notice the usual set-up. The west had consumables, east had defenses, north for clockwork traps, the center had wall types, and further north had a hallway leading to effectively the guild advanced training hall. There was also an area which looked like it had class practice, but I wasn't interested in that. I headed for the guild one.
Despite my heritage, I never had my parents skill. Thinking about them brings up bad memories, but I shake them off. I'll have to focus if I'm to train and make them proud. I head for the punching bags first. There are six, one for each family type, and they all seem well used. I choose one (slimes were always easy for me, so I subconsciously picked that one) and started hacking away at it. I tried to get a manageable rhythm, but after just a bit I grew tired and couldn't continue.
After a bit of resting, I tried out the shooting range. It was slightly changed to be point and endurance based, instead of just three quick rounds. Simple, just keep shooting circles to gain points, and shooting an x or missing will end it. After a couple of rounds of short streaks and near hits, my highest score was 25, about average.
I finally went into the shuffle-bot arena thing, effectively a bomb training area. Admittedly, I was best at bombs. I was able to stay without a hit for a couple of minutes, a bit above average.
Content, I head back for a meal.
After eating, I think about everyone I left back at haven, wondering whats going on with them. I decide to look around for a way to get back to haven.
((OOC: yeah, I kinda guessed on the training hall things layout. but I'm back now, And I'll try to post more often.))
"Rest. I will bring you to the others when it is time."
The way he held me... No! Okay, calm down, Eve. Now... This is an Office... isn't it? I look around, it was thrashed. I went towards the desk by the door -- There was a cup of coffee(still hot) resting on it. I glanced at it and tried out opening the drawers. Drawer 1, nothing. 2 and 3 were the same. 4... Well, a wet piece of paper(eww). I take steps backward, and fall on the chair. Rest.
What do you know, may be I do need some.
The members of the Watch saw what the kid was doing and starte chatting among themselfs. "Looks like he is just fresh of the bus. Think the Train Halls in Haven were too much for him...Might as well not show him the more challanging Halls...Naw I will ask him."
Walking from the group was a man dressed in Plasmatech Demo Suit and matching helm. On the side of his helm was the number 68. Looking down at the little knight he smiled. "Hay, sup? Saw how you handled yourself their with the simple Demo-training course. Well let me introduce my self. I am the insane bomber of Cradle, Better know as #68. Part of the Darkwatch's special forces Demo-tech squad. I like the way you move kid, you got energy. But let me offer you some real training to hone those bombing skills." He said as he pulled out a Graviton Vortex uncharged bomb. "Only permitted Bomb-Tech's can hold this bad boy. And if you train with us for a bit and Number 60 likes your moves, we might be tempted to fill you out a Permit. Of course that's only if your interested." #68 said as he spun the bomb in his finger waiting for an answer.
((That was posted directly at you Dmatter. Also Thinslayer the post I am waiting on from you is #305.))
The boy walked back to Eve after getting a cup of coffee. He placed it on the table, next to his, then sat on another chair.
"I haven't gotten your name. My name's Herston. I used to work for Serris. As a 'hand'."
OOC: Hand means one of Serris' most trust and loyal advisors. Also has some of Serris' powers. But... what is a 'hand' of Serris doing with Eve?

"Desna, it's been awhile! Or do you even remember me?" Skotino exclaimed. He glanced at Daud, who was busy raging. "Someone going to stop him?...never mind, let him get it out of his system. So. Desna. What's going on? I was on my way to Section 37 in Haven when I saw a battle just ending here. Should I be worried?"
Desna shrugged. "I don't know. I figure we should always worry about the Swarm, but considering that it's been driven back for now, there may be less reason to worry."
"Can't say I remember you, though, but I've definitely heard your name more than a few times. Pleasure to meet you, Skotino." She extended her hand to shake.
((OOC: Still waiting for Hexlash to reply to my post involving Nitscu and Claire.))
Skotino took her hand and Gripped it tightly. "Good, good." He said as he looked out at the base. "I might have gotten mixed my self. Last time I saw you was the day I was entitled this rank and then at the same time 'kicked' from Haven." He chuckled as he placed his hand on the hilt of the Archron. "Yet I don't blame them. Once the higher ups realized what happened to me, I mean would you want some one who bleeds liquid Dark matter from there flesh in a city of young impressionable Knights?" Reaching over Skotino looked at Daud and seemed to be looking at some one else. "Alright D....I will do it just relax." Looking back at Desna he smiled "Well, seeing as you are now lacking a well protected area, I could offer you my hospitality while I take care of matters with Section 37 and the Order. And don't worry you are not being held with a favor over your head or anything of that nature." He walked fowards alittle bit to get a better view of the battle field. "After seeing this, I think it would be a good idea to be some were almost impossible to find with out a map. So Sight 1, and Sight 0. Rather the same place, I could offer you as a safe 'Have' till you get the Recon Base back and working again. Also, I kinda need your help with Section 37. They seem to be acussing me of directly trying to invade on the Spiral Orders 'lands' if you can call it that. I am sure you know our kinda tactics by now. So I kinda need a some one to talk to them with me if your interested." He said leaving the offer open as his Alpha Squad lined up ready to present what they found. Their where Thirty men total that stood in line at attention waiting to give there report.
One man stepped forwards and spoke. "The Buildings have taken heavy damage as well as the interlining sections of computers and monitering equitment is damage. Medical, and armory is still intact. As for the area. Number 2 is still in his Raged state and the Swarm have backed off completely." The five Star Cobalt knight said then stood back in line.
Skotino smiled and looked back to Desna. "Well there is your report on the building."
(OOC: Oh! Didn't notice when you two fixed your posts. :3)
My face tingled even after Claire had walked a small distance away, glancing back, but expression obscured by distance. The tingling felt strange, and I realized that I was blushing, turning my head down a bit shamefully to hide it from any prying eyes.
I suddenly remembered that, Nevo - that's what his name was - still had possession of my swords! Glancing up, I locked onto them with my eyes, and they quickly flew right back into their respective sheaths. I rubbed my temples, hoping not to have brought my headache back, but fortunately it abided to not pester me.
After a second, and for some peculiar reason, I felt like I owed him my name. Whispering, I warped the sound right next to his ear, before walking towards Claire.
"Call me Dogus."
Catching up with her, I flattered, peering once again into her gleaming eyes. Clearing my throat anxiously, I took a deep breath.
"You trusted me with your name, so in respect, I'll trust you with mine; My name is Nitscu." The way I talked surprised me, for I was fairly calm, but I sure as Vog didn't feel like it.
In a matter of seconds, the swords Nevo were gripping flashed away, and then he heard "Call me Dogus" . He honestly didn't think it was odd, since the turn of events that unraveled that day. Ghosts, void knights, teleportation... Nevo could name a few more, but he was hungry. Like, really freaking hungry. As in " I'll eat a friggin snipe if I have to" hungry. Looking around, he saw no food or any food distributors, which was odd, for a recon base. So, Nevo explored the base, trying to find the canteen.
((Time for some Nevo shenanigans! ))
((I know what a hand means...))
"I'm Eve..." I promptly replied. I don't know why, but he seems trustworthy enough -- his face seems so >.< But as a hand of Serris, THAT makes things difficult. "Um... Might I ask... You're...not really locking me up here, aren't you?"
I feel like I want to cuss out, but can't, 'specially in front of him.
c(>w< c ) *scoot*
The boy smiles, then raises his hand. "If I wanted to lock you up, I would have done this." The door behind him slammed closed, with a few clicks. The boy stood up, withdrew his blade, and raised it. "This is what I would have done. Maybe killed you on the way here. But nah. I'm not locking you in. I defected from Serris."
The door clicked again, then swung open. "Well... some of my female targets get seduced, THEN get locked up.... But as I said. I'm not locking anyone up."
Herston smiled, stood up, and extended a hand to her, "I'm going training. Coming?"
After finishing my breakfast/lunch/dinner/whatever time it is, a man in Plasmatech Demo Suit and Helm walked. Strangely, the helm had a number 68 on it. He smiled and said to me, "Hay, sup? Saw how you handled yourself their with the simple Demo-training course. Well let me introduce my self. I am the insane bomber of Cradle, Better know as #68. Part of the Darkwatch's special forces Demo-tech squad. I like the way you move kid, you got energy. But let me offer you some real training to hone those bombing skills." It wasn't THAT impressive... was it? I thought as he pulled out a graviton vortex. "Only permitted Bomb-Tech's can hold this bad boy. And if you train with us for a bit and Number 60 likes your moves, we might be tempted to fill you out a Permit. Of course that's only if your interested." He twirled his bomb around, waiting for an answer.
I thought about it for a moment. I'm kinda worried for the other people who were with me, but without any real fighting experience, I couldn't really help them if their in trouble, unless they are in something like the games we were in earlier. I might as well take some training.
"Well, okay, I guess. I need some training." I respond.
seduced, THEN locked up.
seduced
The words rang in my head. D:
"Um... Okay?..." I managed to muster. I kept my hands near my Blitzes, and followed Herston out. Not much action lately... Am I going to die, soon?
"Might want to drop the blitzes. Won't work outside the arena."
OOC: I'm grounded. Mom says my attitude was bad, but when is logging off when it's late bad attitude? Wanna swear right now. Won't be posting much for the next 2-3 days)
"Nitscu. That's a queer name! And kinda cute, too." She looked him over and added, "Like you." She leaned closer and closed her eyes...
...and a shout from a Spiral Justifier made her stop and open them. "You there! Don't move! You're under arrest for the murder of Troy Darius and Avery Farron!" Her eyes widened, and she bolted down the alley. "You! Stop her!" he shouted to Nitscu as he and his partner ran after her.
Once again, she left me in a daze; but as the situation turned upside down, I had no choice but to act. Running just behind Claire and just infront the Justifiers, I knew I had to decided to do something, time was running short. Claire or Justice? Which one was I willing to lose?
Beginning to tire, I slowed my pace, and the Justifiers quickly passed me. One threw a dissapointed glares at me, which quickly resolved to disdain as I kept wheezing; I had less strength then zi thought, not like I had very much to begin with. As the zoomed ahead, I made my decision.
Reaching for my swords, I spun them out and plunged them into the ground. Lingering my hands on the hilt a bit longer, I felt the energy flowing within them. Looking at the Justifiers I swung my arms off the swords in an 'x' they immediately vanished. I had no idea where to, but hopefully far enough for us to get away.
Returning my swords, I ran up to Claire. "Claire, you owe me an explanation." Looking around I added, "But let's get outa here."
Meanwhile, while Klepto was training in the Darkwatch Training Hall, a little girl, not much older than 7, walked up to him and saluted. "Hi mister! You look a little lost. Can I help you? I work here."
__________
As Nitscu and Claire ran, Nitscu said, "Claire, you owe me an explanation. But first, let's get outta here." She nodded, glanced around, and took his hand. They cloaked together and ducked into a warehouse. They waited until the Justifiers passed before uncloaking.
Claire planted her sword into the ground and sighed. "Okay. You really want to know?"
(I take it Nitscu nodded.)
She bit her lip. "I reckon we should start at the beginning. Like most knights, I joined the Spiral Order when I was 13. A year later, I qualified to join the Recon Rangers and served under Kora, who was their commander at the time. Before Kora left to become an intel agent, she selected me to be commander in her place. Then, when I was 16, I met Avery Farron. He was the kindest, strongest, loyalest man I ever met, and apparently, he liked me just as well, and we were married in three months. We had two children, a son named Adam and a daughter named Averia, the latter named after my maiden name."
"When I was 22, I bumped into a good-looking stud named Troy Darius, and...well, we had a fling. It didn't mean anything! I was stupid and wasn't thinking straight. He liked me a lot, and wanted us to run away together, but...I still loved Avery and didn't want to leave him. I went home in a sorry mess and apologized profusely to my dear husband, thinking he was gonna divorce me for sure."
At this point, Claire began to sob. "But he just took me in his arms, told me he loved me, and said everything would be okay." She shook her head and cleared her throat. "Then Troy came back. He was jealous and mad as heck, and demanded to face Avery in a duel. I tried to stop them!" She broke down into tears. "B-b-but...TROY KILLED HIM!! SO I KILLED THAT *** OF A ***** MYSELF!!" She stomped her foot and sobbed bitterly. "So I ran away. I was pregnant with my third child, but he miscarried. I got started on drugs to drown out the pain. I had no idea it was Serris's trap to make me do his bidding. The rest you probably know."
She sunk to the ground and wept with her head in her hands. "I'm so sorry Avery! It's all my fault! It's all my fault."
Smiling the Demo-Tech walked to what looked like a set of reinforced doors. From the other side the sounds of explosions and small arms fire was heard. "Alright, take this." He tossed the kid a pack that was filled to the brim with nothing but explosives. "All you have to do is match the bomb type to the situation. This is all real, so if you get hurt faults on you." He then went over to a key pad and started punching some buttons. After a second the door opened to so the entrance to a Course. "Remember, #60 is watching. And is she likes your moves, you pass. So try not to kill your self." Just as soon as he said that a Knight was blown back out of the door in pain. A pare of medics ran over but the boy was no responding to them thus he was run off. "Well, I said it was live rounds." Number 68 chuckled. "Good Luck."
((OOC: This is in Antasma's thought's))
"Why did I mess up, this wouldn't have happened if I destroyed that sword. There are only 30 void enemies including me left from that army and the number would be much higher if it wasn't for my screw up. I need to find more entity's to corrupt but I wanted to use this last swarm seed to corrupt Desna. I suppose more swarm entity's is better than 1 super strong swarm knight. If I knew where the Grand Arsenal was, that could be a swarm generator but I don't know where that is and it could be destroyed by now."
Antasma falls into a deep sleep.
Nevo was looking around the base, searching every room. Weirdly enough, only some of them were labeled. He'd gone into bedrooms with all sorts of stuff in them, the staging area, and a mess hall. Nevo was wondering why it was called a mess hall. It was just a large, open area. "Why is it even CALLED a mess hall? Nothing was dirty or messy. It was rather clean..." Nevo said to himself, searching more rooms. " Dangit, theres no food ANYWHERE! How do these rangers survive?"
Daud slowly reganed his composer as he paced his sword away and looked at his fist. Another bloody night was all that ran through his head. Breathing in slow bursts Daud regained his mental self as he walked up to Desna and Skotino. "Sir. Ma'am." He said as he Saluted to them both. "Its good to see you out side of the office Skotino. I honestly worry about you some times. Also, Desna I have the feeling that we have more business in Haven. And not with Section 37, but with who ever was holding us captive." He said as he looked level with Desna, but looking down at Skotino. Being a so tall the monster that was a Warden looked down at most Knights, but Desna was one of the few that he looked dead in the eye.
((Seems most of my Posts are Waiting on Thin :L))
I sat quietly as Claire finished her story. Taking my hood off, I wasn't sure how to respond. In fact it seemed like I didn't know how to do a lot of things lately. Gently placing my hand on Claire's, I brushed some of my hair back, then looked into her eyes.
"There's something that I learned a while back; you can't change the past." Removing my hand from hers. Looking away, I find great interest in the boxes stacked redundantly upon one another, stretching off into the far distance. "But you can change the present, and your future." Sighing, I turned back to her. "What happened to your children?"
#68 led me to some reinforced doors. Quite explosions could be heard from the other side.
"Alright, take this" he said, as he tossed me a pack. Inside, there were bombs of many different types. "All you have to do is match the bomb type to the situation. This is all real, so if you get hurt faults on you." Real time situational matching, but with risk of great pain? Doesn't seem that bad. I'm good with that type of logic.
He punched some buttons into a keypad, and the door opened. "Remember, #60 is watching. And is she likes your moves, you pass. So try not to kill yourself." As he says this, a man in clear pain walks out and was taken away by some medics. "Well, I said it was live rounds." He chuckled. "Good Luck."
As I was about to walk in, a small girl walks up to me and salutes. "Hi mister! You look a little lost. Can I help you? I work here." She says.
"Nah, I'm just doing a thing with this guy apparently." I point at 68.
I might actually regret this... oh well. I think as I head through the door.
((OOC: Unless you had a plan with klepto thin, he'll just do the course.))
#68 shrugged and clossed the door. "Well if he can make it out of the Experts Explossives course maybe he will learn a little Bomber's Intuition and know were to place a bomb to prevent a battle before it starts...Bah what am I talking about setting bombs everywhere is fun." He said as he pulled out a weak little bomb and started tossing it around. After a second it exploded leaving behind a little scorch mark.
Inside the chamber it was full of what looked like an urban area as well as a Small little resupply area as well as small Regenerating Health spot. "Round 1 Starts in Ten Seconds." Said the auto-announcements. As that was stated their came sounds of what could only be Trojan's as well as Some Rocket Puppies.
The floor was cracked and had blast marks every where. Broken armor as well as un-used bombs littered the floor aside from some area's to hide. "Experts Demolitionest Training live. Real time enemies: True. Safety Practical: Off. Warning: Chance of Death is possible if current Trainee is not at this level." With that the 'Level' Started to open and spawn enemies just out of sight.
'Well, why don't you tell your boyfriend here about your kids? How you killed them in the haze of drugs? Or maybe spin a tale about you saving them from me?'
Serris grinned, sending that thought to Claire, setting up mental barriers just in case Claire counter attacks.
((OOC: @Topoyozada: I kinda have to draw the line at "mental barriers." I like the idea of mental dueling; it's exciting! Can you imagine the incredible depth we can explore by having the characters question and debate their own thoughts, even the beliefs they hold dear? The characters of both Serris and Claire could be probed to unimaginable depth by allowing them to fight one another in the mind on equal ground. Let's leave off the "mental barriers," shall we?))
Telepathics is in its infancy, only beginning to be understood by those who practice it. The art of planting a thought into the mind of another is just that: an art. To cause a person to think "I am not" is an easy thought to dispel, as it is no worse than merely saying it to yourself without believing it. Try it; say in your mind "I am not." Do you believe it? No? Didn't think so. To cause a new thought to change a person's mind, it must be subtle, plausible...believable. The idea that "I am a good person at heart" is far more devious and destructive than a more blatant one like "I am not."
But words are not the only transferrable thoughts! Emotions, feelings, perceptions, calculations, memories, and other mental faculties could cross the telepathic bridge just as easily as could unspoken words. Mutual understanding on the deepest levels could finally be realized.
But then, so too could the darkest, most wretched of thoughts, buried in the deepest depths of our rotten hearts, be dug up and shared between two connected minds. Things which should never see the light of day shall be brought under the reproach of the sun and judged with the utmost harshness by those who perceive them.
Such are the dangers that lie in wait along the telepathic road. Tread it lightly.
Claire ignored the thought Serris planted in her mind. She scoffed at his meager "mental barriers;" really, how well is the thought "I won't believe any new thoughts" going to work when that thought itself could be called into question? Regardless, she had no patience for such games. She was in an emotional mess, newly reliving the painful memories of her past.
"I don't know what happened to my children," she said with a sniffle. "I hope they're okay." She stood up and wiped the moisture from her eyes. "We should go. The Justifiers are too smart to just keep running." She grabbed Nitscu's hand and cloaked them both once again. She led him out of the alley and started down the road to downtown Haven. "Say, I think it would help if I could get into the hospital. Serris has blown up my supply of Warp Dust, and I will likely die of withdrawl if I am not cured of my addiction. Isn't there some kind of chemical treatment they could procure?"
__________
Desna had to agree with Daud. "If we could confirm that the one holding us captive controlled the dungeons from Haven, then yes, we would have business there. But I am not so convinced. I reckon we should go back to the dungeons to see if we can find any clues."
__________
The little blond-haired girl wasn't ready to give up on Klepto just yet. "Mister, I heard you had a run-in with a...really bad person. Did she wear black?"
Daud shook his head. "No, that would be no good. Assuming this person was smart enough to get us down there with no trace I would venture to say that this person also would have cleaned up any thing linking him to that place." Daud said as he took out a little black book and handed it to Skotino. Also, from the way everything was done is more then likely cleaned up by now. The only thing that going back would do, would make us look the fool or walk into a waiting ambush." He said as he looked at Skotino who was reading the book.
"Indeed, but she does have a point. Going back could provide some information that could prove useful if all else fails....But at the same Time Daud has a point. How about this, Densa you send some of your recon units to explore it. The rest of us will go to Haven to deal with Section 37. Since they have such good ties with the Order we could get them to do a little digging in the back round. Just be warned, your going to have to make your self's seem normal and or have some changed ID tags. Which I do not have any on me." Skotino said as he closed the book and handed it back to Daud. "With Section 37 doing the official work we can get these knights cleared of their charges. But that is if we can provide some kinda evidence that they are not Guilty and whoever it was pulling the strings really is the one why should go after."
I decided to back off of the topic in any future cases. It must have been much too painful for Claire to recall her past, and I certainly did not want to see her crying again, no matter the reason. In a low voice, I acknowledged her thoughts.
"I sure hope there's a way, in fact, there better be a way."
((OOC: This is what is happening in Antasma's dream))
"Where am I? Did I fall into to a deep sleep? If i did, this has been the second time I have lost so much health. A creature appears in front of Antasma and says "You are stupid, you are idiotic and you should not be alive". I look at the dark creature and it looked like me but with blue versions of my clothes. The blue Antasma said "I am your dream clone called Antasma X". He charges a plasma bolt and it hits me. The damage I took was more than my normal attack. The clone said "I am going to kill you and take your place in the real world! Since I am a dream version of you, I will never take damage unless I someone has a book called "The dream attacker book".
-------------------------------
Antasma wakes up and falls onto the ground head first and grumbles "Better not go to sleep and should find a swarm seed to restore my HP"
Before I could start, the girl said "Mister, I heard you had a run-in with a...really bad person. Did she wear black?"
Confused, I reply "Uh, yeah. Or at least I'm pretty sure, if I'm thinking about the person your talking about. Why? Also, how would you have known that?" I stared at her.
((OOC: If I walk into the course, I'll use your setup Dark.))
((OOC: 3rd person mode here))
The void guardian wakes up after hearing a thump and sees Antasma head first on the ground. The void guardian thought "I am bored, I need to do something other than sleep. I should enter Haven and see what's there." The void guardian quietly opened the door and the closed it quietly as to prevent waking up the other swarm entity's. The void guardian moves towards the forest since it was quicker to Haven then any other way. The void guardian went through the forest without much problem. After the void guardian made it through the forest, he decided to check the Auction House but before he did, he saw a woman searching through the Auction House and thought "She looks strong, wonder if Antasma wants to corrupt her, better knock her out then bring her to Antasma." I sneak up behind the woman and slashed at her back, knocking her out and then put her on my shoulder. 4 wardens rushed into the scene and said "Stop or we will shot!". The guardian replied "You are seriously going to attack me with a hostage? You wardens must be stupid if you are going to do that." The wardens said "We should make a deal then." Before they could make a deal, the void guardian got hit in the back and turned around and saw Lucario. The void guardian shouted "Lucario, you decided to mess me up now when I have a hostage, you are even dumber than the wardens!".
Rachel wakes up in her house and prepares herself for the day. She grabs her staff and starts to enter the town. She checks to see if see has any messages and she had one saying "Rachel, watch out for a knight called Lucario, he is swarm and is very dangerous" Rachel replied "I will watch out for this knight since he is swarm but he will be a dead giveaway from his appearance though." She then decided to look in the Auction House and sees tons of items for sale, she constantly looks at her sides, watching out for that knight. She then collapsed from a heavy blow from a swarm entity.
-----------------------------------
Lucario heard about going back to the arena to see what Seeris plan was. I told them I would go back to see what happened and see what I could find about Seeris. I then started to run towards the town and I look carefully at the games where I thought I saw a hole in it. As I was moving towards the hole, it sealed up and it looked undestroyable to all weapons except customized hammers... I thought "Is Warmaster Seerus in jail or is his grand arsenal still running? If the second one was true, I could make a deal with him and see if he has a bone to pick with Seeris". As I was walking back to Desna's new base, I see the void guardian holding someone on his shoulder. 4 wardens run past me and I decided to go around behind the void guardian to hurt him. I launch a charged Energy bolt at him. He turned around and he said "Lucario, you decided to mess me up now when I have a hostage, you are even dumber than the wardens!".
((OOC: Battle scene coming soon))

Lucario jumped over the attack and launched a powerful energy bolt (-2000HP to the void guardian) The woman on the void guardian's shoulder gets knocked up into the air from the attack
The guardian slashed at Lucario (-30HP to Lucario)
Lucario jumped up and caught the woman and took her to safety then rushed back to the battle

Lucario dodged the void guardian's slash and launched another energy bolt at him (-1500HP to void guardian)
The guardian launched a charge attack on his void cutter and hit Lucario twice (-74HP to Lucario)
Lucario started to pant but then his purple aura went around him
The guardian slashed at Lucario
Lucario jumped over the blade and launched another powerful energy bolt at the void guardian (-3500HP to the void guardian)
The void guardian got really angry and knocked Lucario through the fountain and nearby a building (-63HP to Lucario)
Lucario struggles to get up
The void guardian run through the broken fountain to finish him off
The void guardian starts charging his void cutter but then dies before Lucario did (-200HP to the void guardian)
When the swarm particles disappeared, he saw that woman before who he rescued
Lucario starts to limb into a nearby alley and thought "Who's that woman? Whoever she was, she just saved my life"
End of Battle
((OOC: Last 2 lines are a bit of how the void guardian randomly died which uses Lucario's new character. @Thin Don't worry, we agreed.))
OOC: This is my first post here, with my character Alexander "Alec" Prelude.
Alec walked into Spiral HQ. Though he'd been here several times, there always was that strange feeling of...being on alert, he supposed. He stood patiently at Ozlo's office, until a secretary came out, saying, "Captain Ozlo would like to see you now, sir." Alec passed by with a mutter of thanks.
Though Alec had chatted with Ozlo many times, he had never seen the captain face-to-face. Even now, in Ozlo's very base of operations, he did not see him. Instead, he simply saw a glowing blue ring, with the words, "Microphone". A second green ring was inscribed with the words "Speaker". Even as he stood there, wondering if Ozlo could put less trust in his common sense than he did now, the head of the (destroyed) Skylark spoke.
"Hello, Alec. I think that you're wondering why I called you all the way from Depth 23 to Spiral HQ."
"Darn right I'm wondering," Alec muttered. "I was analyzing the first live specimen of a void creature; a thwacker, and a smart one too."
Ozlo chuckled. "I suppose that you're familiar with Desna, head of the Recon Rangers?"
"Yeah, wasn't she the person who helped me catch some Perma-Frostifurs?"
"Ah...yes. I see that you two have been acquainted already."
Alec was beginning to get annoyed. Here he was, talking into a blue glowing circle, while meanwhile his colleagues were making ground-breaking research on void creature's primary needs. What Ozlo said next, however, put Alec's full attention on him.
"Desna and her Recon Rangers were attacked 14 minutes and 22.8 seconds ago by an army of swarm creatures."
"...My god." Alec muttered.
"Indeed. The Swarm has neve-"
"You've gone YUPPIE!"
"..."
Alec apologized. "Sorry. So, Desna was attacked by The Swarm?"
"Correct. They were able to drive away the army with large losses on The Swarm's side. I'm a bit blurry about the particulars. Anyhow, there's still several Swarm creatures out there. Enough to occupy a leading scientist/soldier for weeks."
"So, you want to send me there. OK, I'll need a few hours to pack all my tools, supplies, and-"
"You have 20 minutes."
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________
3 hours later, Alec found himself standing in front of the Recon Ranger's barracks.
Well, I never thought I'd find myself here, he thought.
He didn't exactly know how to introduce himself.
They've just been attacked by The Swarm. Probably high-strung. If I waltz in there Desna'll blow my head off with a Sentenza before I could make a single pun. That'd be horrible! No, I need to let them know I'm coming. Darn it Ozlo. You could've at least sent Desna a message to not shoot everyone entering the base in the spleen with your gun.
Alec took a look at himself, and had a flash of inspiration. Concentrating, he summoned a massive block of ice, cold enough so that it wouldn't melt for hours. He then slowly used his powers over heat to carve into the ice:
This is Alec Prelude. You may not exAXEtly remember me, but we worked together against some Perma-Frostifurs. Could you maybe open the door and not blow out my brains? Thanks! (Authorization code: 12173)
Alec lifted the block of ice, found a window, and took a deep breath.
Well, here we go. Hope the security system doesn't have an automatic explosive response to people who throw giant pieces of material through windows.
With a swift movement, he threw the chunk of ice through the window, and pulled out his shield if he needed it in case of a Recon Ranger shooting.
((Frikkin' amazing. Fantastic entry, Sandwich-Potato!))
((Also, to get you up to speed, Desna is not at the Recon Rangers' HQ. Apparently, Antasma overran it while she was out. She is currently in a warehouse holed up in a warehouse several blocks away. A keen eye will notice several knights standing outside it.))
The ice chunk was met by a withering barrage of Void bullets. Whatever life forms were in there...aren't now. If Desna had her wits about her, she would be long gone before the Swarm overran the place. Unfortunately, he had gotten the attention of the resident Swarm, who were now pouring from the formerly-reinforced airlock.

Claire glanced out the doors. No Justifiers. She and Nitscu made a break for the open road, but it seems that the Justifiers were lying in wait for them. Several shots rang out.
One was aimed for Nitscu's chest.
((I aim for him to go unconscious. I have a plan to develop both our characters in more depth this way. Agreed? :D))
__________
"How would you have known that?" Klepto asked the little girl. She deadpanned and said in her most serious voice, "She's my mommy. I'm trying to find her. Do you know where she is?"
__________
Desna replied to Skotino, "We won't be needing ID tags; we'll blast our way in there. Come on guys, we need to grab some supplies from HQ before we move out."
She sheathed her weapons and set off for Recon Ranger HQ.
((She is not aware that her HQ has been overrun.))
__________
((OOC: sorry for the short posts guys. I'm lacking in inspiration at the moment.))
Won't work outside the arena.
So I'm as good as naked here? I continue on following Herston. The light outside bars me from seeing him entirely, I can only see a silhouette of his body and face. Nuuu, I don't have any power. I wouldn't be able to defend myself if the time comes.
Serris pounded the table. "How did she resist both of my attacks?"
Not waiting for a reply, he quickly sent an image of Warp Dust to Claire. "Let's see how you deal with the addiction."

The boy lead Eve into the training hall, then noticed a few Swarm monsters attacking a block of ice. "Stay back." Herston murmured to Eve, he dashed forward, sending a blast of energy at the monsters. They froze, and gave Herston a chance to thaw the ice. After thawing it, he was greeted by a person in a perma frost coat. Holding a firebolt, he asked, "who are you, and what do you want?"
OOC: Directed at Sandwich Hero because I needed more interaction and so Fies the two players.
The shots rang out loudly and brusquely, my immediate instinct to defend myself. I had but a sparse few seconds to form a shield; my hands flew up, a strengthening congregation of energy building in their wake.
THUD.
Great Isora, that hurt! The pain rocketed through me, as I struggled desperately to breath. Spots danced mockingly in my vision, and everything began to swirl into a pool of colours, blurring to a blinding white, which faded to a pitch black. The irony never reached me as my world dissolved into pain, agony and suffering. I try in vain to mutter something, falling deplorably over towards Claire's feet.
"I'm sorry."
OOC: I intentionally sent Alec to the HQ, since Ozlo's info had told him that the Recon Rangers had won. Also, Alec, when talking below, is maintaining a continual stream of chatter, rather rudely not allowing Herston a chance to speak. In addition, he is still unaware of Eve's location.
As Alec waited, he suddenly sensed that the block o' ice he had chucked, was blasted apart by...The Swarm? Uh oh.
Bleep. BLEEEP. RUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUNURNRUNURNRUNRUNRNRURNURNRUNRURNRUNRUN!!!!! Did I say run? I MEAN RUN FASTER!!!!
Suddenly, Alec heard the unmistakable sounds of monsters getting frozen in place, a sound he was much too used too by now. Spinning around, he drew his Combuster and Voltedge, as who or whatever hit those monsters probably wasn't going to freeze solid.
"Who are you, and what do you want?"
Who's this? A boy? Is that a fireball? Is he gonna flambe me? Is he gonna- Pull it together Alec. Think logically. More than you normally do, at any rate.
Alec deadpanned the boy (or at least tried to. He was still taller than Alec was.) as he said, "My name's Alec Prelude, but you've probably never heard of me before. It's a long, long story about how I ended up here, and I'll tell it to you once we get away from her-"
Alec jumped over the boy, planting his Voltedge into a wolver about to sink his teeth into the boy. As he nonchalantly cleaned his sword, he continued to talk, "As for what I want, it seems that I'll have to tell you later, as these monsters don't seem to care about common courtesy, or they'd let us introduce ourselves. YOU HERE THAT SWARM? I CAN DEAL WITH THE WHOLE KILL ME STUFF, BUT AT LEAST BE POLITE!!!" Alec hollered. The intensity of his yell stopped the Void monsters for a few seconds, just as he threw a powerful ice wall around the exits of the HQ. He sunk to one knee from the effort, but gasped out, "Hope you've a place to hide. That'll hold em for a few minutes or so, but once they're out, the wolvers will run us down."
Alec's following thought process took mere miliseconds. If he fathomed it out into words, it would something like this:
Man, the fAXE about this place are true. "Messing with the Recon Rangers will get your face messed up." Man, maybe I shouldn't be trusting this boy so much. But then why would he save me from those Void monsters if he meant me harm. Wait, what if he did mean me harm, and instinctively blasted The Swarm. But then why would he engage at all if-ARGH! I'm getting a migraine, and this Perma-Frostifur armor negates migraines. Best to be on my guard still though. Can't tell what this boy'll do. Maybe I could throw the impression that I'm a weak innocent person. Certainly short enough to have the "Little lost kid" impression. Maybe if I...
Alec unconsciously sheathed his Voltedge and drew out his Glacius.
"Well?" Alec asked. "Gonna just stand there all day?"
Daud shook his head as he looked at Skotino. "Should I follow, they might need help."
Skotino just crossed his arms behind his back as he watched the woman take off. "No, we need to get to Haven right now. Since your capture seems content with you being free I say we ride it out for a little bit. As for right now I will be heading to Section 37's current location, you will follow because knowing Desna and the rest of these peoooopppple," Skotino said as he kinda slurred his words for a second, "will be wanting to be inside that safe area. As for the ones back at HQ I am going to be moving them to Sight A before long. I do not think anyone will think Sight A will be full thus it will be perfect. Like I said, the last time some one who was with the Order has stepped in our Halls was almost two life times ago." Skotino turned as he walked to the Three Transports. The dark arua leaving behind a trail of shadowy myst. "Daud, the choice is yours. I suggest we get Section 37 to start getting these Knights Pardon papers at once. But then again that has never be your style till after the fact." With that said Skotino went to his Flag ship and sat down in chair waiting for his crew.
Damn that man...Damn him. But he is right, its best to have an understanding of what we are fighting then walking blindly into a world of stupidity only to have our heads on pikes.... Slowly Daud got on the Transport and stood behind Skotino. But what if Section 37 has a hand in this. They have their black hands in every little detail of the Order even the lesser known sections. All I can do now is hope Section 37 is clue less because if not....we are all doomed... That was all Daud could think as the Transports started up moving to Haven.
---
It had taken a good ten minutes or so but as soon as they had landed Daud and the rest of the Regulators jumped off the Transport and rushed into haven. Skotino stood right behind Daud as they walked. It was a bit of a sceen as the Watch entered the city. Knights watching, people hissing or saying things behind their back. Most of the anger was sent at Skotino, after the Knowledge of the Darkwatch became public, of course what they did was still kept quiet. But what angered people mostly was the fact that the Watch was more or less a Mercenary. group that stood outside the rule of the Order, partly right but partly wrong. Slowly the group of Thirty knights made their way to a building int he Grimson were they stood watching the front door as Skotino entered with Daud. It was in the Guild hall in Sight A where Section 37 sat behind a long row of tables. Behind those tables were one of each kinda Class type at Five Star level. A Striker, a Gunslinger, a Bomber, a Elemental Defender, a Piercing Defender, a Specialist, a Guardian, a Cobalt Knight. The only one not their was the Shadow Defender. Skotino stood their in a light that seemed to show only him "Gentlemen and Ladies of this Counsel. Its been some time..." He said as they started their talk.
I told the swarm agents left "We need to bail, we are too weak just now, we have to restore our health for later". The swarm started to pick up the pace but I couldn't see the void guardian and told it "We have to run, there are way too many knights around". The void guardian replied "No, I am going to kill Lucario first, then I will get back to you!" I told the void guardian "Fine, but be careful, Lucario is very difficult to defeat and watch out for the other knights" The void guardian said "Don't worry, we are far away from any knights" The communication link closed. We started running north until we found a safe spot very far away from the battlefield. The building was safe and there was no hazards nearby. The void guardian said "I lost him, going towards your location". I said "That was unlucky but be quick and make sure no-one is following you". A few minutes later the void guardian made it to our temporary base. I said "We need to sleep and restore our energy from the fight". The remaining void entity's fell asleep and I jumped onto the ceiling, used my tail to wrap around the light and fell asleep.
((OOC: Antasma and the remaining void entity's won't be doing much for a while and Antasma is acting like a bat sleeping upside down and hanging from the light.))
