What about my character? What do I do now? Also, in case you didn't notice, I added an extra line to my character much earlier today (or was it yesterday?), as I felt he was a little unadorned, but I kept getting interrupted by real world things to post about it. It was as follows: He also has immense luck, having apparently always getting a treasure vault whenever he comes to a random gate. "Which is too bad," He is quoted saying "because I REALLY want to know what a graveyard is like."
After Cradle (roleplay discussion thread)(Pact of the Monocled Chromalisk)
Well, I guess this means I should type something up now.....=3
I've still got this extremely busy week though, so be patient with me!
What slot would you like? I recommend Commander Villain, as that will not require a second vote. He could become a hero later on.
Otherwise, I could call up a second vote, if you're willing to wait. It's my fault your character wasn't voted on, so I'll do what it takes to make it up to you.
Name: Thomas
Gender: Male
Faction: Unaffiliated
Race: Knight
Slot: Underdog
Personality: His personality is...well...friendly. He gets along with many individuals easily, mainly because of his ability to mold and shape his mentality to however he sees fit. He's never really the same person for a long period of time, always changing his way of thinking, sometimes rediscovering old personalities he used to be. In the company of intellects, he is thoughtful, quiet, and civil. In the company of friends, he is warm, understanding, and slow to anger. In his workplace environment, he is cold, assertive, and diligent. Thus, many people find him to be good company.
Appearance: He has a lean, wiry build, and a fair complexion. His eyes are the color of cobalt, and his hair is black, and usually is tied up into a ponytail (yes, it is that long). He has a slightly charming face, although unassuming at first. Outside of his armor, he wears a white button-up shirt (embroidered with a silver dragon pendant on the breast pocket) and a pair of jeans, as well as a pair of boots.
Arsenal: Mighty Cobalt Helm (Prismatic Glow Eyes), Heavy Plate Shield, Heavy Plate Mail (ASD Low), Cold Iron Carver (ASI Very High), Master Blaster (ASI Very High + CTR Very High)
Age: 16
Abilities: He can shield bash when carrying a heavy shield, and can dash away if he's wearing light armor (still an underdog since those abilities are going to be the exact same as the upcoming ones in-game). He can hit a quarter three yards away, guaranteed with a master blaster. He has some proficiency in the art of swordsmanship, being able to perform a couple of parries and blocks. As for bombs, he isn't so smart with them.
Bio: Well...
Thomas was a particularly average Defender Elite. He had participated in several major operations, and proved himself several times on the battlefield. Like all those of his rank, he isn't the best soldier there is on the battlefield, but he's sure as hell above average.
He was one of the younger recruits of the Order, enlisting at the age of 13. He spent a year through training, and crash-landed to Cradle with all the other Knights.
Having proved himself in the Jelly Palace, the Ironclaw Munitions Factory, as well as other major operations, he's had enough combat and experience in him to be a seasoned veteran. The only reason he isn't ranking up to a Champion is for his usefulness as a second-in-command in his squads. While he isn't the one barking the order, he can execute them without fail.
Thus, he was more valuable being disguised as a low-ranking grunt than a high-ranked officer. His military record sky-rocketed, earning him all kinds of badges and honors for his valor.
However, he became sick of the same field work every day, and was discharged three months from the events happening now.
Okay, he can be a commander villain. I have no complaints there. Although give me a while to think of a new bio for him so he can be evil. I'll edit when I'm done. Done! Tell me if there's a problem.
Why is he so young? Other than that, I find no problems with your app. Good job. :)
@Vinnydime: character accepted! We can have an unlimited number of underdogs, and considering that your character is neither overpowered nor underpowered, I have no qualms with him. :)
@Dmatter: Awesome. Thanks!
I've posted an entry, it's kinda long, haha. I was working on it for a while.
Name: Leonidas (usually called Leo)
Gender: male
Faction: Spiral Order
Race: Human
Personality: Leonidas is bold and courageous, having led multiple raids on the Gremlins' war factories. He is known for his rousing speeches before battle and is very loyal. He will follow orders, but if he had to choose between saving his friends or doing the Order's bidding, he will choose his comrades every time.
Appearance: tall and lean, he appears to be of average build- a misleading deception given his extremely fit condition. He wears armor that nearly covers him from head to toe, but normally sports a neat polo shirt and jeans. His blond-brown hair is always neatly combed to one side, and a small scar resides just under his left eye.
Arsenal: Corinthian Helm, Spartan Armor, Hoplon Shield (both of which provide amazing defensive capabilties but hinder speed), Dory spear, and Xiphos sword (similar in strength to a Tempered Calibur, but is shorter and more maneuverable)
Age: 28
Abilities: Leo is extremely fit and can run three consecutive marathons without breaking a single sweat. He has beaten countless challengers at arm wrestling (including Arkus himself) and has shown the capability to single-handedly bring Darkfire Vanaduke to his knees using nothing but a knife. He used to be trained by his father in hunting, and knows the anatomy, behavior, and tactics of the Beasts inside out; due to his hunting skills, he has also developed a leather tread over the years. Although he prefers headlong charges at the enemy, he has no problem sneaking past their defenses.
His armor is a solid piece of triple-reinforced titanium, as is his helmet. His circular shield spans 4 feet across in every direction and is made of the same metal as his armor. It is extremely light and durable, and can also be used easily as a weapon. He usually uses his spear and shield together, and will resort to his sword only if his opponent gets too close.
Trivia: all his gear is based on that of Greeks during 500-400 BC, particularly the Spartans'.
Slot: Somewhere between Underdog and Commander
Bio: Rigorously trained by the Order since the age of 7, Leo has had more experience with weapons than any other soldier. He is part of an elite special operations group known as the 300- despite the name, his team consists of only 10 men. They are the elite of the elite and are called in during only the direst situations, and the current situation with the Swarm is VERY dire.
Bonus: Despite his manly behavior, Leo's favorite food happens to be strawberry shortcake- pink strawberry shortcake, to be exact. He loves sweets, and as a result of all his training and constant exercise on the battlefield, no matter how many calories he consumes, he doesn't become even the least bit chubby.
@Aekuryi- Nice entry. ;)

I have a question regarding character interactions. If I, for instance, wanted to talk to one of yalls characters, how would that work?
@Immortous: it would look something like this:
[comment #x] Immortous bowed and asked Gwen, "How might I speak to you, madam?"
[comment #y] Immortous addressed Gwen, asking, "How might I speak to you, madam?" Gwen replied, "Speak only as yourself! I would have it no other way."
(Optional:)
[comment #x edited] Immortous bowed and asked Gwen, "How might I speak to you, madam?" She replied, "Speak only as yourself! I would have it no other way."
Was Dagoon accepted with her original Bio, or am I accepted as long as I change it?
Considering that my character app was last page, I'll just put it on this post if I need to.
Kaiju, where is Athena going to be? I want Nathaniel to be the first in the story to befriend her. :)
@Kaiju
Comparing mine to yours...
Thomas would feel so scared ;A;
It's accepted on condition that the RtC reference is changed.
@Kaijuhunter: commander slots are filled, and I will not hold another vote for them. However, your character is clearly not an underdog. I will not be creating any new slots. Use this information as you see fit.
Added some UV's as a balance for him versus the higher-up characters. He'll still guarantee a loss against a legendary or a commander, but he's going to deal some moderate injuries if they do decide to kill him.
@Thin- Oh, so pretty much I can only post my half of a conversation? And then if I want to, I can edit the other characters half in later? =P
I am very sorry, i have to go somewhere and take care of some family matters, so i will not will be able to attend this RP, very sorry
@Dmatter: character accepted, due to lack of competition. xD
@Legend-Knight-Hadi: if you'll only be gone for about a day or so, then there's no need to leave.
I just read your story entry.
I'm afraid that the power play is unacceptable. Kaijuhunter has yet to introduce her character, but her options for that are rather limited by the power play. If you want Nathaniel to start off interacting with someone, it's appropriate to ask for it first.
In fact, I was recently considering just such an arrangement...
All power plays, no matter how small, will be considered unacceptable until further notice. Not knowing what happens next is part of the fun of roleplays.
@Aekuryi: I like your first story entry. I'm rooting for your character already. She seerusly needs a suit of armor to hide that tail.
@Vinnydime: Wow, that's a gripping way to describe the crisis in Haven. Nice job.
@Gzilla: I recommend that your grammar be observed more closely - there are run-on sentences and misused punctuation in there.
@Ultimaknightz: I'm a little confused about why you'd go into detail about a vending machine. I don't know what purpose it has in the story.
I recommend that we all critique each others' stories as we proceed, as it will help us write a better story. Don't pull your punches when critiquing mine.
So nothing was good about my intro? I'm looking for more story based comments, the run ons were there because I was posting a bit late.
You introduced the villain admirably. The next story bit should include a better interaction point; I recommend a chat with The Master (whom I will be playing).
Alternately, he could directly confront one of the player characters.
I think I've found out what people want from RTC. Not a reboot, Not a linear story by one person like in FK.
What everyone else from the original one and those who Wanted to join it, Want a continuation. It's just that nobody seems to want to admit it.
(Yeah, the nostalgia's really kicking in right about now.)
@Ret
Not sure where you are in Haven (I assume the broken bridge at the front), but it couldn't have been too far away from me. Wouldn't that be a logic break? I just came from that direction...
@Thin
No one is going to give a darn about the lady; we don't know if she's coming from the Garrison, the Bazaar, or the Arcade, and crisis just recently hit Haven XD. In any case, she's going to be finished if you don't clarify her location, so that at least one of us can lend a hand.
Ah. I'll edit the post. Also, I'll just tell you that the vending machine is part of the 'clock' that Haven is. Most knights don't know this.
Not exactly everyone. It was getting too dragged out with an imbalance of characters, and simply too large of a group of characters to manage seamlessly and quickly. Not that I don't like everyone's stories that they made up for that RP (Great work guys >.<), but it was simply just too much to cram into the RP without having any plot difficulties.
Thanks for the feedback. She's "not far from the Town Square," if not in it. Yeah, most of the people won't care, but the heroes will, right? ;)
@vinnydime: Most people. . . I meant everyone as in general.
I guess so, but it is too overwhelming for me to catch up with. I even tried to drop some other things for it, and I had no idea what to do XD
So are the swarm attacking Cradle now? Or will they hold their attacks until a bit longer?
I thought that was for the Legendary Villain to decide? XD
Oh yeah. I'll think of something. Thanks for your help, though. :)
IDK if we should move forward with battles against the swarm, we still have a good 3-4 people un-introduced, and I think that someone should introduce the Necrons into the story (Immortous). We need people to be moar active.
Why did Thomas not say anything about Nathaniel interacting with him and Gwen?
I'll be editing it. Also, next time EDIT your former posts, and then put different actions in another post.
Apparently, Gwen doesn't give fifty-five craps about dead bodies littering the floor around her, much less than trying to seek penance XD
It's okay, Ultima. I can make it work out (i guess I could use it as a way to introduce Athena).
He still needs your permission BEFORE he is able to take reigns over your character. What's done is done, so let's roll with it.
Well, just wrote my character in. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated, as that was my first time trying something like this!
Just got my character started, and by the looks of things, pretty much everyone's in the same place. Any story problems/writing problems with mine? I'm trying to make my character independent, yet working for The Master. Oh, and FYI I'm going to bed now.
Still nostalgic over Return to Cradle. :')
