Here is the poll! Be sure to NOT vote twice!
We want a fair poll to see what the community really wants.ž
What you want! Straw Poll!
Good idea with this poll. Though I guess you forgot about new missions.
"Add piercing def to Vanaduke (Troll option)"
This is truly what I believe in most. Because I want Vanaduke to start crushing Blitz zealots. A lot.
You forgot to mention bugfixes/balancing.
I really wanted arcade redux, but it won't matter if radiants are still stupidly rare. Same with gunner update. New weapons? Great! Enjoy them being eternally weaker than your fully heated 4*!
> Radiants
Rolling in my 300-some radiants after using them all up making all of the 5* fists
...When did that event end again?
------
Also, just putting my voice out to say that I'm a gunner and voted arcade redux.
The challenge mode isn't included on poll.
Can't say I'm surprised. 3 other people in the whole sk community other than myself included probably care about it. Could be nice to, with arena like areas that require teamwork over brute force for amazing rewards.
I can't decide if I want arcade redux or random tortodrone encounters. Can I vote twice for that reason?
More people I'd asking for the arcade reduce than the gunner update even though there are millions of threads asking for the gunner update or else they will quit. While there are very few arcade redux posts.
Red, look at it this way. Would you rather choose new toys in the same old area, or a new area to play with your old toys? Personally, I prefer new area.
The troll option was funny. But I feel it wouldn't do much. The Tortodrones were resistant to piercing, so the obvious choice is to use the Volcanic Pepperbox. But the Blitz still out damaged it!
I voted arcade redux because that would theoretically (hopefully) include fixing the arcade so radiants weren't stupidly rare. And maybe new boss too. Which would mean new weapons... And also would maybe mean random tortodrone encounters. :D
"Because I want Vanaduke to start crushing Blitz zealots. A lot."
I have gazed into the future you propose, and beheld a sight unlike any this world has ever known.
Volcanic Pepperboxes. Volcanic Pepperboxes everywhere.
It's beautiful.
Hey you forgot your image macro
Also VP is sort of wasted on vana due to fire immunity. And I heard that against tortodrones, who resist the same things as vana's mask, blitz STILL does more dps.
- Old RSS
- Balance between weapons
- Reworking of new RSS
- Fixing half the battle sprites ultimates so that they're not pointless.
- Balance between armours
- Balance between defence trinkets/perks, status trinkets/perks, offensive trinkets/perks and health trinkets/perks
- Challenge mode
- Arcade redux
- Fixing split damage swords so they're not hilariously, game-breakingly overpowered anymore
- Just the inverted catalyzer and magnus charge attacks (buttlanding still present) from the gunner update
- Gamepad related bug fixes (can't shield charge with a gamepad, if unplugged during the game you need to restart the whole game)
- An omelette
Voted Arcade Redux.
@Zeddy/Pandabear
I think fixing split damage swords falls under balance between weapons, wouldn't you say? As for the first gamepad issue you listed, I honestly prefer to have it this way as it allows me to shield cancel much more efficiently. Anyway, there should be an option for it because it is something that makes playing with a gamepad pretty painful. Furthermore, I'd like to point out that the game generally handles gamepad input horribly. If you hold a button, get a bit of framerate drop, and release it before your PC recovers, the game won't recognise that you have let a button go. This has killed me so many times in Lockdown as I try to boost away or attack people but all I get is attempts at dashing and shield bashing because my modifier button is "jammed".
Radiant drop buff by far. It's horrible trying to farm solely for these things.
Sir-Pandabear, rebind your shield gamepad button to a letter on your keyboard.
- The game has trouble with [mouse 4+mouse 2, so I rebound M4 to L so [mouse 4=L] [mouse example]
Get a program that lets you do that.

Yeah, this was something that was bothering me (about the forums) too. Arcade Redux was this:
This isn't just rebalancing gates - it almost sounds like an entire reworking of the arcade to make the it really stick out differently from the mission system.
I don't exactly know if it's good news for the people who have fallen in love with the randomized gate runs that arcade is now, but it would have been good news for the game in terms of a fresh experience.
My perspective as an older player (well, took a year off from MMOs along the way, but otherwise, I've been here since before SK was on Steam) is that I want to bring my friends back to the game. In the year off or so that I took, they're not PVP players, so they had run arcade and vanaduke (pre mission system!) countless times to the point that they're not really interested in the game anymore. Battle sprites brought them back for like, 2 weeks before realizing the rest of the game was still the same. I'm hoping Arcade Redux can be something fresh for them ;P
And so far, the only patch that involved the Arcade Redux so far was the very patch that changed how most of the game works: the Battle Sprite update. So either we're gonna have to wait 'til the Gunner Update for the next patch, or we can kiss the Redux goodbye. And I don't want that.
Voted for Arcade Redux, but I'd rather prefer bugfixes, improving servers stability and balancing equipment. Adding new bosses or nerfing OP weapons/armors or buffing guns with Gunner Update or increasing Radiant drop won't fix main problems of Spiral Knights. I'd rather play old content of Spiral Knights with balanced system rather than play new content for two weeks and then chill out for a month or two (of course, having both new content and balanced weapon/armor/monster system would be the best).
If the old RSS is going to come back, they need to nerf the range, there's no reason it should reach farther than any gun.
Unfortunately, and it really is, people will point out the forum community does not represent the whole. Unless of course you get people you know ingame to participate who don't usually use the forum you are going to get shot down when the results come out because they are biased.
