1. It would be cool if all items had a classification of one handed, or two handed. you could equip two one handed weapons (two flourishes, or one flourish and a shield, or one flourish and one night-blade.) the two handed ones can only be equipped by itself, no shields with it either. the divine avenger and others of that size are still one handed. two handed weapons deal more damage than one handed (so you can chose low damage but two of them or high damage but one of them) shields are always one handed. two handed weapons can block with a half shield in front of them but can still be hurt from behind. bombs are always two handed.

2. new weapons and shields. three new shields would act like the three classes in the Colosseum gamemode in spiral knights. they will give you a half circle of shield in-front of you. you can still be hurt from behind except for the shield class.

shotguns. they spray slightly to either side of the gun and the bullets disperse a short ways away from you. the charge shot makes the bullets stronger and travel further with more pellets in the shot. (the pellets deal separate damage so the more you hit them with the more damage you deal.) there are 1 handed and 2 handed shotguns. the two handed reloads every 3 shots and has to pump between shots. the one handed deal less damage and reloads after 1 shot.

sniper a long range very accurate gun that hits instantly without any time between shooting and hitting. it deals lots of damage but has to reload after every shot.

flame thrower one handed and two handed. has high chance of causing moderate fire and deals high elemental damage. moderate range and has to reload after 5 seconds of continuous fire.

rocket launcher, two handed. there are two paths to craft. heat seeking or HE (high explosive). the seekers fallow enemies slowly and deal moderate damage. the HE deals heavy damage, moves fast, and has an explosive radius, but can't seek. it reloads after every shot.

polarms, axes, and spears long ranged sweeping two handed weapons. they deal heavy damage and hurt many enemies at once around you but are two handed and slow.

dagger. it deals more damage from behind. one handed.

bio-hazard bomb. it poisons enemies and can spread between other enemies they touch (strength of poison increases with tier)

turret bomb. places a auto turret (like in crimson hammer) with low health that stays until killed. only 1 can be out at a time.

crawler bomb. you place it then when it explodes it deals no damage then crawls after the nearest target. it explodes once it reaches the target dealing massive concentrated damage. can have different crafting paths with different effects like poison and elemental damage. it gets its own explosive ring that if it doesn't reach its target by the time it runs out it explodes where it is. it has a 10 second timer.

traps. they are a bomb you place that sits for 30 seconds before self destructing or explodes of something walks over them.

auto cannon. it is a two handed cannon that fires fast explosive rounds. it shoots once per second and reloads after the 4th shot.

hand cannon. its a one handed weapon that deals heavy explosive shots that deal lots of damage but shoots slow and reloads after every 4th shot.

shield bomb. it has a large radius. it increases with tier. it places a temporary large shield that lasts for 10 seconds. only one can be out at once. if you place another it removes the first.

spike shield. it returns all damage dealt to you to whatever hurt you but you take full damage as well. it has multiple crafting paths. one you take very reduced damage but hurts them back less. the other you take reduced damage (not very reduced) but hurts them slightly more then the second.

3. I would like either mist energy back but only for revives. or just being able to find sparks of life in the clockworks. (kinda rare but not all that rare) to tempt the devs this offer you could make it cost ce (or for some people real money [{sorry if this is an insult for the devs}because you like adding things with real money options :P]) to upgrade your mist tank with a greater coppasity or make it recharge faster. if you take the second option you could make spark of life multipliers. you buy them with ce then get a greater chance of finding them in the clockwork.

perma weapon/trinket slots. just make them, cost allot for perma ones.

4. mounts. a type of machine or creature you can ride to make yourself faster or have more health while in the clockwork. you can dismount with a key and they fallow you around and will also fight for you with an ai. you can also give them saddles or bridles, and armor with special bonuses like a recharging shield on your mount. I think there should be giant spiders, horses, giant bats, wolvers, mechanical steampunk wolvers, mechanical steampunk spiders, mechanical steampunk horses, mechanical steampunk bats, dragon, mechanical steampunk dragon, and things like that. you should be able to use them in haven as well.

Sure, OOO will just press the secret "Create a huge update with all kinds of new game mechanics" button in their coding system and there it is, without any bugs, unbalanced items or whatever! Expect this to be released..... when time doesn't exist anymore and the universe is already gone.

Besides, SK has no need for Hand Cannons, Rocket Launchers or..... seriously? Mechanical Steampunk Dragons? Don't think that is ever going to be released...

I do like some of the ideas, especially the bombs, but if you want people to really think about this you should make your ideas more specific and. Look at Dracora-Speaking's suggestion for a new bomb. If you do it that way, players can give better feedback.

algorithms are the solutions to any problem.

all right, here we go.

1 no, dual wielding existing weapons would be extremely overpowered. dual brandishes or pulsars would be the death of every enemy ever. also, bomb being two handed means that bombs can't be used with shields, which would make them underpowered. so no.

2 PvP shields would be extremely OP in PvE, especially the guardian shield since it can heal. still no.

shotguns would serve no purpose because the autogun line does the same thing.

long range wouldn't be practical since enemies don't spawn until you are near them. also hitscan is kinda OP.

flamethrower can be knida neat except swords do the same job better, since status isn't that important.

seeking rocket launcher is a pretty good idea.
for all your explosion at a distance without homing capabilities needs, refer to the pulsar line.

spears, axes ect. fall into troika line terms. so, you gotta buff that line first, or it will be underpowered.

dagger would be useless since 99% of the time the enemies are facing you. is you want a fast sword, refer to cutter line or flourish line.

biohazard bomb is, IMO, a weaker version of the current poison mist bomb. use that instead.

turret bomb is the auto turret kit, a consumable item. here's the wiki, scroll down a bit.

crawler spawns a critter that goes to a target and explodes. that's pretty much the bomb version of the seeking rocket launcher. it's better to have only one.

trap bomb, also called mine, is a recurring topic here in the suggestion forum. we're still here talking about it, do your assumptions.

auto cannon. sersiously? we have an autogun, and it's already powerful. we don't need an auto cannon.

hand cannon description fits the description of the magnus line. try that.

shield bomb. you already have a shield, use it. it's important, trust me.

spike shield is a no-go. you are supposed to not get hit. besides, enemies do a lot of damage in T3, and you can't benefit from that shield if you die.

3 erm, no. sparks can already be found in the clockworks, and you can buy them from the depot. they aren't that are or that big of a deal to get when you reach th jelly king. if you are dying before reaching that boss, this is not the game for you.

permanent trinket and weapon slots are not profitable against not permanent ones. you are willing to spend lots for a permanent slot, then just buy loads of 30 days slot. you're not going to use them all and you know it.

4 no. knights are already very powerful, we don't need mounts.

umm Jmmoormann? I never expected this to come out overnight. in-fact I never would expect anything (besides mist energy because they already coded that) even if it were added for like a year.

Thunder-The-Bright

sorry for the mess of answers.

Thunder-The-Bright I actually forgot to mention this but if you duel wielded swords it would reduce there individual damage a little bit. it would just make you attack faster with the duel wield. and I didn't mean the bombs are stuck 2 handed I just meant they can't duel wield with another weapon. you can have a shield with them the pvp shields was more speculation. I just thought it would be cool. and I didn't even know the guardian shield healed :P. I think that's new since I saw it last. the long range and stuff I didn't mean to be hitscan but since they reload after every shot they would be under powered if they didn't at least have fast bullets. and you can back away and shoot them so you can keep them at longer range. shotguns would serve a purpose. they shoot all there bullets in an arc quickly instead of having to have continuos fire. and you only get one wave of bullets from one shot. you are incopasitated for less when fireing because it does shoot all at once. and the bullets go a little farther. swords do not do anything "better than the flame thrower" because it has MODERATE range, not point blank it can shoot farther than a sword can hit. I guess the regular rocket launcher is kinda dumb. the seeking one is fine by itself. I guess the spears and axes could be buffed but I left that up do the devs. thats why I didn'ts say like "it has more damage" because that might not be the case for some. daggers were just for like you are better at trojans or the morter gremlins because you are hitting them from behind. last I checked the biohazard bomb is not like the poison mist bomb. it "spreads from one target to another even after they have left the bombs AOE. so it is differant. it gets it around more but is weaker. I know its a consumable I was just thinking this one oculd be smaller and weaker but could distract enemies. the crawler bomb was more for those who are devoted to using mostly bombs. I didn't know mines were a already discussed topic this is the first time ive posted here. the auto cannon is different from an auto gun. it shoots singular bullets with a small qooldown between shots. but the bullets explode on impact and move faster than the pulsar. maybe less damage than a pulsar though. I forgot about the magnus guns before I posted the hand cannons :P. I guess the shield bomb was stupid :P. I guess the spike shield was stupid too. I didn't know sparks could be found in the clockwork already because I haven't found a single spark anywhere ever they should make them a little less rare to fund or something. I just hate having to rebuy things thats kinda why I brought up the perma slots. and to balance the mounts you could make it where knights are unable to attack while mounted.

Warning: Superiority Complex.

This thread is just a summary of many time old threads. You say dual-wielding reduces damage? Reducing damage either makes it underpowered or overpowered or just plain pointless, depending on your view-point.
If you want purely to deal status then it's OP (dual-brandish).
If you want to deal damage then, depending on the reduction of damage, decides on where this stands.
If you are able to duel-wield any weapon type, not just swords (because otherwise it's unfair) then Pulsar spamming will be so ridiculous it's not humourous in the slightest to even imagine. You could say "Well then guns can't duel-wield" but then guns would be under-powered and people would be severely annoyed they had to wait a year for the update. Imo the pulsar and catalyzer lines are the biggest problems but you can't just say "No" to them and allow others to be duel-wield when they are low damage, 1-handed-sized weapons.
A shield that does damage? Then why even bring a weapon? :| Especially if shields end up being dual-wield.
Also permanent slots is bad for business, which means less pay to OOO, which means less stuff, which is bad.
Mounts....why? Why do we need mounts? It would just be time consuming to make and serve no real purpose. :\
Most of the weapons are unnecessary. There are enough guns in the game without bringing in your ideas (since most were guns). Next update should be bombs or, if that is not going to happen, then swords.
Thunder-The-Bright was generally right, if a little harsh.

I rethought it and made a different better list here http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/108307 . I thought it could be specific new items that were stuck duel wield. like duel wielding is what balances them out. and I thought of some actual sets of items. I hope you like them.

No.

Talking about what I read here, not your other suggestion. I'll take a look at it after I say my things here.

Dual wielding is not something we need in this game. Shields are critical and taking them away is something expressed in the past as being a no-go.

Thunder said most everything about the weapons and stuff. Generally they aren't really needed, but the mines seem new and useful.

Sparks of life can be found in the clockworks. They are a rarity so they aren't exactly common. Playing on elite difficulty will make you find them more frequently.

Mounts are an entirely different feature. We do not need them in the clockworks, and especially don't need them in Haven. However, mounts are something I can see being included in the PvP sphere. I created a new coliseum game called Monster Mounts two months back. Take a look into what I said there.
