Can't force people to be positive, and the people who are angriest are the first to speak, plus speak the loudest.

I agree the present looks more grim than before, be in all honesty we're still getting the same treatment we've been getting for, like, the past 2-3 years. The game is still up and running, and will continue to do so as long as the servers have cash flowing through them, and at the end of the day that's all we really need. New content would be wonderful, but as it stands I'm happy for what we have.

Why ridiculous? It shows some people actually still care enough for this game to make a thread instead of leaving in silent.

Spiral Knights is pretty incredible for a free game.

If this is two years ago, I might have agreed, but SK is now a shadow of its former glory with the potential of it being great squandered by neglect on OOO's part.

And the game most certainly is not 'dead', it's just going through a rough patch.

I wont call a two and a half years of promos and two content updates a rough patch, more like a delay tactic. Will SK recover? By some miracle it might, but don't count on it. Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Making a threat like that on the internet really doesn't count for a whole lot, just saying.

You know, before I address this post I want to say that I loved this game as much as (maybe more :^) any of the longtime old veterans like Liuguru and Hex, but never progressed as much because I was a very young little sh*t.

True, it is a sad time, but it can't be an easy job, can it? Needing funds to make new content, and having people complain about your effort to give them new content.
For the last 2, 3 years threads like these have been made. Nothing has changed.

C'mon guys, give them a break, yeah? You have to admit, Spiral Knights is pretty incredible for a free game. And the game most certainly is not 'dead', it's just going through a rough patch.
That's not how anything works. I was an amazing game with fresh ideas 3-4 years ago. Then new content just stopped coming out. Missions were introduced to the game, and the feature that set apart spiral knights from other hack & slash games died out in days. The arcade has been a ghost of its former self ever since. Last time I logged in (granted, that was a year ago) nothing had changed.

You know, two years ago OOO made a post.

A post saying that very soon, an update with lots of guns would be introduced. It took about a year for this to happen. But I'm not even upset about that. I understand, stuff happens, deadlines get pushed back. It's normal.

What really made me leave was a different promise. In that same post, the forum admins all claimed that they would regularly participate in the suggestions forum. This was so exciting for me. There have been so many great ideas that enthusiastic players have introduced over the years, it really made me excited to think that some of these (like the age-old creation chamber suggestion) would be implemented.

It never happened. Something as simple as periodically logging into a forum and posting in a specific section (which you are paid to do) couldn't be executed. Deep in those forums, are probably ideas that would have saved this game, and grown it to epic proportions. If the devs had just delivered on their promise. But they never did...
