I've noticed that when I set higher graphics for recording something and then set those settings back, SK usually crashes on changing resolution. So I tried to narrow down what causes the crash.

Turns out game crashes on changing resolution only if antialiasing is higher than 1x and the screen was captured by OBS. You don't need to actually record anything. If OBS shows you video output from the game, you can expect a crash when you change resolution. Closing OBS doesn't cancel the crash. Simply put, once OBS detects the game, you will get the crash. At least I do.

Also, this happened yesterday.

It started when I wanted to create new lobby in Arcade. It failed and after a while I got that message in chat. Supply Depot stopped working, too. All I could do was run around Haven. Logging out and in or restarting the game didn't solve the issue, only temporarily. Once I tried to start some mission, everything broke again. Also, the game automatically loaded my knight after logging in, no selection screen. As if I only lost connection and didn't really log out. Other effects of this bug were that my Social tab was half frozen (friends section didn't update, but guild section did) and there were some problems with /telling me something. I couldn't receive any /tell message (could send them just fine, though) and my friend saw me as offline (this perhaps needed the bug to be active for long enough, can't tell). After a while we figured out we could use guild chat instead.

After that game restart didn't solve it, I stopped trying to fix it and started experimenting what I can and what I can't do in this bugged state. Most of the stuff I already wrote above. For almost every interaction that didn't work, a new line of "An error has been detected with your knight etc." appeared in chat. For Forge, it appeared instead of successful / failed forging message. It was rather funny. If I didn't waste a lot of time setting up OBS and doing other things, I could have made a gif showing it in its full glory. Perhaps next time.

I remember I used to run with the toxic catalyzer line back when I wasn't vanguard. I even fought Vanaduke with it. And then he got immune to shadow damage in his third form (because that's a thing he does) and I couldn't do any damage anymore and had to give up.

Maybe. But basically I am on a break because despite I log in daily, I only check news, supply depot, auction house and then log off again. It's rare that I also play some levels.

I remember that when I played through OCH after some long time I was taken by the atmosphere and how everything there is connected. For example the fact, that you're not playing through 5 random levels, but rather trying to break in a fortress. Disabling cannons, opening locked gate, always returning on the main path... It feels epic when you think about all that.

How far can you get? I managed to reach the first shelter on second floor in the past. It went very slowly because I was avoiding all risk in hopes to survive. Even tried the final fight once or twice, but it was too much to handle. But that was in the past, I doubt I can get that far nowadays.

So. Today I wanted to play something, but at the same time I didn't feel like playing most of my games. Aside from SK. So I played it and yeah, it's fine. :D I was just dying all the time, like always.

I don't want to bother with the final fight, too. Even if I have made some progress there, the mender can easily revert it all like nothing.

I'd like to mention here a game called Hellsinker because it's on my mind for quite a long time. I find something about that game fascinating, but I don't know what exactly. Maybe all the little weird things? Funny that for quite a long time I was feeding my curiosity only from YouTube videos, guides and other posts about the game without actually playing it. It took me a good few months before I downloaded a demo and finally tried it myself.

I've found the game like this: Out of curiosity, I looked up what the current Super Hexagon world record is. I found a 45 minutes long (!) video and watched a bit of it. The game's music was muted and the guy listened to some other songs, which I liked. Luckily, he put in the description where is the music from and it was apparently from a game called Akashicverse. I've found the OST on YouTube and listened to it for some time, but then I became curious what the game is actually about. One line that kept popping up was "It's very similar to Hellsinker." Eventually, my curiosity forced me to find more about Hellsinker, too. I also started listening to its OST.

Finally, I'll share an old trailer I've found on YouTube. I really like how the logo folds in and out all the time and how it keeps switching between gameplay and story parts along with the pumping music.

How lucky for me this is a "talk about anything" place.
