It's here! around two months of work put into it, we bombers are proud to say that the Bombing Guide is nearing an end! From Bombastic Demo gear to Eeks pwning some greavers; the guide has everything one needs to know about bombing.
Now that a gunner's guide has started, all that's left is a swordsman guide. Unless of course there's nothing more to it then hack and slash.
Feel free to submit any strategies into the discussion page on the wiki, and we'll always need some Grammar and Spelling warriors to make sense stuff to work.
Thanks to everyone that has helped edit and add content. Especially mentioning Vlad, Culture, CeCeeS, Velcro and Eeks.
I hope that bombers no longer have to make the 'difficult' decision of choosing the right bomb and knowing the tactics or will ever annoy the hell out of swordsmen with the air-born curiosities of haven.

I'm looking forward to the addition of 5* stun bombs and seeing how those play with the other status affects and how long it lasts. Might end up being a very strong option on vanaduke since it will slow down the time between attacks and ceiling falls.

I'm a bomber, just got
I'm a bomber, just got shiver, and I wish this guide had been out when I started! My main advice so far, is it be nice if there were category headins for bombs. E.g. Alchemical bombs could have a paragraph that deals generally with what they are, and how to use them, and then do the individual bomb breakdown as you do. A simple rating right before hazards for each bob would be nice, separated from the main text, so i can easily scan for "highly recommended" bombs and also ones to avoid.

A 5-Star Rating System & more pictures of every Bomb to show how big the Radius is & what the Explosion looks like would be a nice addition.

Here are some to get us started! Seriously though, while the guide is filled with a ton of opinion as it is, I think we should try to avoid injecting opinion where possible. Ratings are a tricky subject since not everyone is going to agree on what should be a 4 or a 5. Instead maybe we can put bombs into 3 categories: Highly Recommended, Recommended, Not Recommended. This is still subjective but I think maybe we can reach some kind of agreement (at least we can all agree that ISB is awful awful awful!)
As for categorizing them, it was something I was going to do but I got lazy when I realized how the images were laid out. I moved them around and added tags for their purposes (crowd control, status, damage) along with some colors so you can quickly eyeball.

Hmm...Then how about a Poll?
A small little Poll showing how much people liked the Bomb or not? Ex. Nitronome: 500/12 'Did you like this Bomb?' And maybe a little Bar indicating Like from Dislikes(Sorta like Youtube)

The good: there is definitely
The good: there is definitely a great deal of very useful information on this page, and is very helpful for anyone looking to become a master bomber.
The bad: this page is written somewhat well on most things, but the presentation is very poor in that some paragraphs are written in a really immature fashion. I understand that this is written by "the people," but someone should make it so that the entire page sounds professional/uniform. You have some sections that stand out or just sound way too non-technical. A couple examples:
"Corner Shielding: One of my favourites is to grab a big radius blast bomb, sit in a corner while the rest of your team guns. it keeps melee mobs distant and your teamates will thank you when a zombie starts noming on their face." Personal accounts don't belong on a wiki page. This should be rewritten completely or removed.
"Now the bomb's line now stops at 4*, but its usefulness remains." You can see what's wrong with that.
As I said though, 99% of the page is well written, and extremely informative. It's great that we have this info to refer to. Someone just needs to polish it up a little bit and make it sound more "technical" or "professional."

I do agree that it doesn't need to be in a first person point of view. Not necessarily professional or technical just take it out of first person.
If you want help with editing grammar and what not I can help. Not saying you can't, just saying if you don't want to take the time to do it I will. :)

Only bombs
Some of the videos I saw in the bombing guide, the guy uses a sword, rarely but at least once, to fend off monsters, and I wonder if only bomb- equiped bombers would try to do the same scenario, like one character I saw, I think "sick"(I think that's her name) she fended off Lord Vanaduke and the Jelly King with just bombs, and to me she's a pro bomber... But I do know that bombers do need swords in case they can't charge their bombs in tight mobs, but it would be cool to see pure bombers go out crazy with only bombs.
Anyway, I like the bombing guide, and maybe I'll go bomber when I finish my swordsman set(I love my levi)

Most bombers do only take
Most bombers do only take bombs (like me =p). But T3 can get quite tedious soloing without a sword, and trying to kill one scuttlebot with a nitronome takes so much longer than if you were to hack at it with a levi.
@Rigwald noones working on a swordsman guide ~ however there is a gunner guide in progress.
also with the poll, i may just add a "the people's of SK's" rating then an elite bomber's rating; just because I'm sure not everyone who responded to the poll had used every bomb. (or were skewing the data). And anyone who answered with all ones, your data will be removed. that's you Mr.

The poll is flawed. Most
The poll is flawed. Most people don't have all those bombs or have even seen them in action. People are just voting based on what they heard from other people so what is the point, since the results won't be statistically valid. Top to bottom this whole poll is a sham, just a popularity contest. Numbers assigned arbitrarily by people whose knowledge of the items is questionable.
There is no best bomb. Some bombs are more useful in certain levels and against certain monsters and others less so. And a good player with a "bad" bomb will outperform a bad player with a "good" bomb 100% of the time.
If you want a real rating you need to break it down scientifically: rate different qualities of the bomb vs a wide range of situations and then sum it up for an overall rating.

yeah...I kind of think bombing is often too situational. I'd rate Shivermist a 5* and AoA a 5* but they aren't useful all the time. Really the only bomb that is always useful (in the fact that it never fails to do its job. Damage reliably) is Nitronome. I even liked my VT a little better than Shivermist at FSC (EXCEPT for vanaduke of course).
I've used or seen in action all bombs except the last three which also messes up my rating.

Yeah, I considered the whole situational thing, but decided it would be to tedious to create several polls/discussion. and the guide kinda sums up all of that situation thing anyway. This was the best i could think of, and I'm unsure it would add to much of a new players overall decision on a bomb.

Is there a way to modify this poll or make a new one where you can leave out ratings of a specific bomb? Right now you have to rate every single bomb, and almost no one will have tried every maximum upgrade of the bombs. I tried to rate the bombs I know, but couldn't without giving "false" ratings to the other bombs.

Every Poll website I've searched Doesn't give you the option or doesn't give you a table of results (to rid of outliers and noobs).
I'll Try looking for one ~ Perhaps the best i Could do is add a 6th rating for undecided. (so rate 1-5 if you have the bomb, and 6 if you are not sure.)
Thats about the only option =S unless you can find a better poll site with excel spreadsheet stuff.
