We are the Order of Venus and have enough competitive and devoted T2 Lockdown players! We look forward to consistent matches most preferably during or close to the weekends (i.e. Thursdays through Sundays) as they are usually the peak days. Like any other guild, our members are comprised of players from various timezones, and it would be nice for guilds to agree on a set time to do matches to minimize hassle. Please contact Rhipdclxvi, Jilro or Luweejee in game. Thanks :)
Guild Lockdown Tournament [ROUND ROBIN FINISHED]
Like the T1. Got into it because of this thread. Wish more ppl would play it but I understand its hard to put down gear you put so much time into.
IGN: Asthix
Guild: Clockwork Renegades
Availability: Any day but Tuesday.
Has Group A even started yet? I hope they do. Group B's almost done. AFK just needs one more half with Revelation and The Risen and Impervious have to play each other twice.
@Mightyputty: No, Group A hasn't started yet. I haven't heard much of anything from Knights of Equestria in a long time either. I'm not quite sure who among them is even active. To be fair, I didn't even know who among Pool B was active until they started posting screenshots of completed matches. After the Pool sections are finished, as per your post in another thread Mightyputty, you're not done yet. After the Pool section, there will be a Top Tier Knockout Section for the top 4 pointing teams and Consolation Knockout Section for the bottom 4 hopefully. So two more matches (likely comprised of 3 LD matches) for everyone
At this point, I'll consider Pool A the first 4 Teams out of: Order of Venus, Clockwork Renegades, Dominance, Valkyrie Knights and Knights of Equestria to get a match done and screenshotted and posted to this thread.
@Luweejee: Welcome to the tournament! Please friend the other contacts in Pool A with the Message "LOL Tournament Contact" and get those matches in!
Our last group match is complete. We lost to Revelation 100-43.

Let me know if you need a replacement team, Knightmare can probably throw one together
@Everyone: It seems like this thread is getting buried and the momentum is starting to slip. This is a community run event and communication is very important to see it conclude successfully. It seems trivial, but posting frequently to this thread, even if it's just to reiterate that you attempted to schedule an event and failed to do so will help keep the momentum and will give greater chance to seeing your matches scheduled in the future!
@Pool B (minus A F K): How are your scheduling attempts going? There's only 3 Lockdown Games left to go!
@Pool A: I would really love to hear from any of the teams in Pool A, any of them. Currently there are 5 teams looking to play for 4 spots in the pool. The first 4 Teams to get a game in get to play in that pool. Order of Venus? Clockwork Renegades? Dominance? Knights of Equestria? Valkyrie Knights? Please update me on your progress and scheduling attempts.
@Chris: Hi! With the lack of momentum in Pool A, we could very well need another substitute Guild. If you are still interested in playing I will need the following information:
1) Guild Name
2) IGN Guild Contacts
3) Preferred Tier of Combat
4) Peak times and days for match availability.
Also, I would expect that you and your fellow IGN contacts be active enough on the forums and that you will familiarize yourselves with the Tournament Rules.
@Everyone: As a reminder, screenies or it didn't happen!
We just need one more game with The Risen. The Risen also need 2 more games against Impervious. I hope it is all settled with Pool A.
~Most of the screenshots from our games are posted under Tournament tab in Guild page.
Got another person interested in T1 today from our guild (Clockwork Renegades) Still 1 short for regular guild play most of the time...
Bump so that the tournament can still continue, especially with Group A! Hey Lhykos. Can you update those results from our group too? Thanks!
@Kogoya: Table standings have been updated, thanks for the bump! Glad to see some people are still interested in seeing this through.
I'm still looking for any contact, friend requests, anything from the Guilds in Pool A. Chris if you're still interested I would love to get those details I asked for. Hopefully we'll see some more games put together soon.

Some comments about the tournament:
I'm not sure how viable this system is, as much as I'd like it to be. First of all, time is an issue here. It's hard enough to get 6 people to commit to joining a guild team where most are in gates. But it's harder to get two guilds to do that. Then you need to wait for your own knights and theirs too. During this time knights can get impatient and leave the guild team or just stop playing SK for a bit. Organizing specific times would be the only way to really do this reliably I suppose. Might be some issue with getting everyone to agree to be online for the match at the same time. Not thattt much of an issue.
Then if you can get the timing right you still need to make sure not a single other guild is waiting to play. Another guild waiting can cause the two tournament guilds to be unable to play each other potentially and forcing the wait time further. If it was prearranged at a certain time it might cause the game to go later than players expected and make them need to leave. I suppose you can just ask the other guild to stop playing, but that may have mixed results.
Finally, ignoring all that, is the fact that d/c'ing is not uncommon for some knights. This alone causes disparity in results.
Seeing as the reason this was started was because we wanted to play guild vs. guild, I think a better system would be to scrap results and the tournament-esque feel and just lay down a well communicated time at which guilds state that they will be in queue for Lockdown. This time can be communicated every week, say to decide a time during the weekend, or just say like Saturdays or Fridays generally. Barring that, if we could communicate that we want to play but don't need to wait in queue in SK for the other guild (say, with a website that just lists guilds who are interested in playing along with approximate members available at the time) so that we avoid not playing SK while waiting while still getting the idea across that we currently want to play. Then guilds can check the site, for instance, and go in queue when enough are ready.
Revelation wins
500-165
I will spot screenshot under Tournament later.
~We also got some games against Valkyrie Knights. Pool A has some competition.
@Velcro
I strongly agree. We had a match against Valkyrie Knights when we qued up. Even it is hard to get a perfect team out there while ppl are waiting. Usually we don't like just grabbing random ppl off the list.
We got a T1 game in with Impervious!

The great gameplan and teamwork by Impervious ensured their victory, along with the unheated gear of a few Renegades. Sorry it took so long on our end!
Also, I have a new high score in T1 LD, 2790!

So I would challenge someone to post a screenie of more dmg in T1. Hopefully that might drum up some players.
Pool A is now officially done. Didn't know what guild Asthix is but Pool A in Round Robin is encouraged to face other Pool A guilds but at least more Lockdown games are showing up. :P
I suddenly wtb spectator mode!!!! <3
Impervious finally got a match with The Risen and here are the results
Impervious wins first match 900-175

4) Afternoon-Evenings - North America
@Everyone involved: Apologies for my scarce appearance as of late, it hasn't come at a great time especially as Pool A is on life-support at best.
@Dark-Fantasy: Yes, it appears Pool A is completely finished. This much setup time and zero completed matches pretty much means it is toast.
@Chris: See above, it seems that Pool A interest was waned such that I'm not sure what to do with that entire side of the bracket. Stay tuned I guess, but right now I have no official matches for you. On the flip side, I encourage you and everyone to send messages to other LOL tourney contacts to strike up friendly matches!
@Velcro/Dark-Fantasy: Your end conclusion that a better setup would be to just publicize times and have friendly matches all the time is kind of the end goal of this tournament. This whole thing was supposed to drum up interest in playing more GvG matches in general. Even though Pool A never really got any matches going, I can at least take comfort in the fact that people from Pool B have had some fun friendly matches against them.
@Risen/Impervious: Thanks guys for capping off Pool B. I will make sure to post the results soon. I will also be endeavouring to put some stats up for players, but I'm not really sure what format I'm going to use just yet.
@Everyone: The level of interest, coupled with the reality of how everything played leads me to believe that these sort of long run player-run events are extremely practical. I know that dangling a big carrot on the other hand could really help out in guaranteeing that players and guilds would attend. Rewards for first Guild to finish all their matches would be a big plus in getting matches finished in a timely manner. Are there any comments or critiques from anyone on anything to do with the tournament. Feel free to nitpick or discuss the structure, the schedule, the viability... anything. Any constructive input is welcome.
Regardless of whether this endeavour was a success of failure, I'd really like to thank everyone who took out time to get involved and participate.
Here's how I feel.
I think T1 gets a bad rap since people want to use their hard earned UV's on T3. It is really hard to get a game together on T1 lately.
I'll only ever be average at best in T3 it seems and the overwhelming power of the LD guilds makes my guild not want to participate in matches.
The success of Pool B seems to be because of those teams focus on Awesome LD players. This is obviously the preferred setup, but my guild is more focused on enjoying the game frankly, and I'm bad at recruitment for guild play, primarily because I'm not an awesome player.
So, I m left being forced to wait on T1 hoping seven other people join since that is where I can shine. I would like a way to spread out players interested in Guild LD to guilds that need them, then a tournament could actually work if there were a roster to even the participants.
it'd be nice if the guilds where broken down into Tiers to know which guilds are strictly T3/T2/T1 oriented. I actually tried to get some matches setup, but it was too much hassle and started to feel like a lot of work for one insubstantial match. From what I can tell by reading the former posts majority of the guilds are Est time so as I said before why not set a specific time and date (weekends!) for all the matches to be batched rather then dragged out over a months span. Also an incentive to participate would surely draw more guilds.
Oops sorry about saying Pool A is done. I meant to say that Pool B is done. xD
How does this BUMP work...? :P
So what we do now? We wait for Pool A to finish while we plan some matches in Pool B? Let's get more interest in this tournament. :P

Valkyrie Knights has officially replaced Hunter X Hunter! Welcome guys, hopefully we'll see some Pool A results up in no time.
@Maydiee: You are correct that by fixing a set time for the matches to take place would speed up the entire process. What time should it be set to? Different guilds have different playerbases. Different playerbases have different peak times. Sometimes emergencies crop up or players are already wrapped up in some boss run. Setting a fixed time would likely make the tournament more attractive to certain guilds but I believe it would also exclude a lot of guilds who do not have a peak time during the hours set. The general rule of thumb I have been going by is that Flexibility is Inclusive, Rigidity is Exclusive. Please keep in my mind that this is a trial run for this sort of event and I really appreciate your critique on my set up. All constructive criticism is welcome even if I don't personally agree with it.
