I will say this. I MAY work on getting a team together for LD. It wont be like the original team because 2 of them quit the game, but we will all practice back up to our original levels of skill. And then we WILL win. Again.

This thread isn't necessarily a 'joke' it's just a list of well recognized guilds that have guild master that put them out there and willing to push the limits together. This game isn't about having the number one guild or being the best. This game is about having fun as an online community with some competitiveness. So, is one guild better than another? NO. Every player has their own preference and what I might prefer in a guild and a team may not be the same thing that you prefer in a guild.

I just think this is a good discussion on what people consider their favorite guilds to be around. Of course I consider my guild, In the Jelly, my favorite guild to be around. So yeah, of course, I'm going to mention that guild.

What other guilds are great guilds? Coup de grace. I would say if I didn't have my own guild and I didn't love it so much Coup de Grace would be the guild I would want to be in. I enjoy Guild because of their heart for this game and their crazy personalities, biznasty and twili are big jokers and are fun to hang out with... Magnus is a bonus. :p

Knightmare is a fun guild. I hang around Golza a lot and I've been on runs with many of the members and when Chris isn't making a butthead of himself on the forums he's really cool to talk to and just hang out with. He's really funny. Finesse is a good guild all around. The players are nice and friendly, they know how to play the game, and they are very active. The Jempire all I will say is rubyeclipse. lol. He's awesome. He runs a good and fun guild.

Active is a good guild. Hollafamer used to be in my guild before he created active and he has done a good job. Yeah they had a few problems when he became active in the game again but that's over and done with and I know if he hasn't already, he'll make a come back.

Unity is just a run off of the old guild Active. I think in time they'll establish more of a name for themselves instead of just being the "active 2". They are a good guild with very friendly players. Cootiecakes is hysterical. :D

Echo of Silence. njthug smells. :p hehe... he has a real laidback and goofball of a guild. They are a fun group of people and we can all just goof off in the havens and annoy people with chatting in zone chat. lol. They know the game and work hard, friendly.

Now my guild, In the jelly, we're not as active as I would like us to be and before we had a lot of players but many of them didn't play the game consistantly. Most of the older players have quit the game or just went inactive and I've basically had to start from scratch again. New officers, added a new guild master, and opened up the recruiting to all players. I like teaching the newer players when they want to listen. There are some very knowledgable players in my guild that can help newer players. We're silly and laidback but we love doing boss runs and lair runs.

This is just a small list of what I consider good guilds. There are so many good ones that I think deserve to be recognized and that there are plenty of guilds for every type of person. You just have to find the guild you're searching for.

Hey there, thanks for mentioning my guild (Shadow Mercenaries) in there it is. I am however, just going to be saying a few things of my opinions about this whole case of "Top 10 Guilds".

Alright, pretty much I'm going to say what Dancinjen did. To me, and possibly quite an amount of others would think that to have guilds in games like these or so isn't really to be like "The Best" but it's just to you know, have fun and just enjoy your time with others. On the other hand some people would think as if this whole thing is like "I need to make my guild the most known with really powerful members" or so (I'm not trying to offend anyone here by any means). Spiral Knights is a massive online community which has many, many players and of course in there with many guilds that we might not even know of. Competition isn't exactly the main thing that many people care of, but there are also people who want to be known and all-- As we all know again also in the fact that everyone has their own opinions and preferences about guilds, which I'm not trying to change it or so.

Pretty much what I'm trying to say right here is, just don't really worry about "Being the best" or so, just have fun and enjoy your life with your friends, competition is fun, as long as you have fun with it. Don't really worry of losing or so, it's just something that helps pushes you on to be better and just keep on going. To me, guilds are an amazing thing. You meet all these amazing people that are better than you, same level as you, or even some weaker than you which is solely why joining guilds allows you the opportunity to push yourself to practice your skills and learn from others as such. (Sorry for me might be repeating some things on this statement)

Wrapping it up, I'm leaving a quote for all of you.

Even with connection problems a very gg to Stompt & Finesse as he put up one hell of a fight with 3 caps and 7,618 dmg.

@Erridunno I'm sorry, but to be the best do they have to be totally undefeated? Even when they're better then pretty much every other guild? I think that was one of the two matches Finesse has ever lost, and it was because Stompt disconnected or something.

I heard Echo of Sausage is the only unbeaten guild in Lockdown since they still haven't done a guild pvp match

@Eridunno well, I'll let someone from finesse chime in with the details about that match, but they are still probably the best LD guild.

They lost only two matches, both when stompt disconnected, and they are currently the guild with the top lock down though. Some of their members are on the top ten for single players too. I'd say that's proper evidence

Just to reiterate my very first post, it's not Finesse's goal to be the best of best or to join the ranks of the 'Top 10' guilds in this game. A loss is a loss and that just means the team isn't good enough at that moment. If anything, on hindsight, I am relieved to have those two losses. It helped us grow as a team and improved our game-play, especially when dealing with unexpected circumstances. Coincidentally, about 6 weeks later after that match, we faced a similar dilemma on the same map and we managed to survive the crisis with lady luck on our side.

I did not say that they were the best guild, I said that they were one of the best lock down guilds.

Also, Stompt did NOT do the best, he just got the most damage.

And Katmint didn't say Stompt was a noob, or that it takes skill to get a lot of captures instead of damage, she just said that damage doesn't help your team as much as captures.

I know it's kind of pathetic to use a thread to advertise your guild but my guild, "The Clockwork Elders" are a struggling guild of about 50 we need any active members we can get just send me a letter to Hoytx if you would like to join thanks =)

I suggest this thread is deleted, since it's a collision of egos and personal preferences. It would be okay if people were more respectful and mature about it, but it's not the case.. Yes? No?

When will we all realize Spiral Knights is mainly all opinion base on categories like the top guild, top player, top player in lockdown (statically you can win this category, but to track the stats would be pretty hard), best snipe herder, top vanna killer, top jelly king killer, etc. Half the people who posted on this topic gave their opinion they are not a greek god like Tantarian, so their opinion should not make your panties get all bunched up post yours and move on.

*to be the top lockdown player you would need to be able to go in matches (majority of your matches) and not allow the other team to get even 1 capture). Statically then you would be the best player only because you stopped the other team from scoring you might of racked up tons of defends and the other team will have no captures or defends against your team.

Id like for you guys to decline further discussion about are loses and me.
Also i did disconnect towards the end of the game.
Mostly everyone in Finesse outplays me i just help make numbers :)
