I'm guessing you've already seen our old guild page before, but I felt that it was outdated and it didn't catch the spirit of AFK.

Well...
The name's Putty. Mightyputty. I'm the guildmaster of AFK with Irevolutioni and Captaincorn. AFK stands for the Awesome Fearless Knights (not Away From Keyboard). We're a guild that's now 4 months old and open to tier 3 recruits!

Why is our guild different from other guilds?
Well we're a guild that doesn't really focus on whether you can show off your solo skills down at the Clockworks. In fact, we care more about how well you play in a team. We don't want you dying a lot, and we don't want you to be so individualistic. We want a team effort from all players, so we don't want slackers, trolls, beggars, and the like. AFK's had many bad experiences with such members.

You may think, "we sound so serious. How can we be friendly? Well, we are a friendly bunch. We like to lay off with some funny jokes or have random parties start at the guild hall. In some cases we'll start a trivia contest with some of our friends at the garden or play some Lockdown and Blast Network no matter how much we stink. In other cases, we'll chat about all sorts of stuff related to SK and not related to SK.

Apologies for the Multi-Posting, but I just wanted to put this out (No puns this time)

Normally, when a recruit in a guild joins, he wont be able to get on REALLY well with the Guild Master.
When I joined, I was a mediocre 3* nub who had little or no experience in tier 2 + 3.

I got on well with Mightyputty from the very beginning.

The night that I joined, I had a professional conversation with Mightyputty about who knows what.
That just TOLD me that there was a huge bound of friendliness within this guild.

And that is why I would most definitely recommned AFK to anyone who is looking for a guild where friendship is the main priority.

Hello, my name is Darkkight, and I request of joining your guild.

2. on the weekends, and while I have the time to play spiral knights after finishing my homework.

3. kindness and friendship, as they help with teamwork. No beggars, as they become kinda annoying due to the fact they could just go to clockworks and gain the things they need.

4. So far I am a 4-star, but my armor and sword are 5-star.

5. it's sorta based on what my friends do, but I believe mostly on the weekends.

6. A person who helps others in need, like giving away their own heath to revive others, or killing off the foes and giving the spoils to their comrades.

7. truth is, I have absolutely no idea how to describe myself in three words, as I do not know if I am doing the right things in clockworks.

I am a T2 character with 2 3* swords and 2* armor. (my friends are helping me with 4* gear)

I want to join AFK because of the friendliness aspect, and the idea of more powerful characters helping noobies/newbies. I also appreciate the no trolling/begging.

I would prefer not to judge my skill level, since I am T2 I will need a run with a guildie.

I generally play 4 times a week for about an 1 hr and a 1/2 each time.

For now, since I am on winter break, 5hrs+ everyday. But once school starts back up again, I think around 1-2 hrs on weekdays and 5hrs+ on weekend

It seems a lot more balanced than some other free MMOs. I also don't have too much to do, being a college accepted senior. It has new gameplay styles, what with the changing levels, fighting types (gun / sword / bomb), and runs (like in WoW, but less intense).

2. Would you be willing to play this game at least once a week based on what you experienced?
I already do. HA.

Hello, I'd like to join your guild. I don't usually join serious guilds in the MMO's I play, but this is one of the few ones I can put some time into a few nights a week.

By the way, my ingame name is Starlancer. I know that's one of the questions, but I'm posting it up here as well.

2. How often do you normally go online in a week?
At least once or twice a week; I try to do daily runs to keep using my mist energy, but real life gets in the way. (Stupid real life... why do we need it? >:{ )

3. What are you looking for in a guild? Please be specific.
A group that I can have the occasional hilarious conversation with while hanging out in town, have a decent guild group to casually crash through a tier or two a couple times a week, and enough knowledgeable and experienced players to do an occasional boss run.
Oh, some group PvP would also be cool, but I'm anything but a hardcore PvP'er...

4. What tier are you? (Full inspect please)
Okay, this is where my lack of basic knowledge about the game eludes me... I have full 4* gear; it's the basic Spiral Knights set (Mighty Cobalt Armor/Helm/Shield, Ascended Calibur, Master Blaster), but no other real gear to speak of; working on a Wolvar set and the Bristling Buckler tier (both at 2* right now, so I just got started). As for how to full inspect... well, I'll make sure I have it on ingame. Just inspect me ingame sometime.

I think that qualifies me for T3, but I've barely even run much of T2... I'll be working on that this week, both to unlock T3 and to figure out how to run T2 without getting whipped faster than an egg in a soufflé (sp?). And I know that T3 is even more challenging... I've got the hang of the "RPG" side of things (I"m a veteran of several different MMO's: WoW, Runescape, SWG pre-CU, WAR, LOTRO...), it's the "Action" part that's giving me trouble.

5. What times are you most on?
Depends on my work schedule; I work part-time (20-25 hours per week), and my varied schedule changes what times I'm on ingame. Combined with parents, I can rarely guarantee a specific time I can be on. Usually I play mornings on weekdays, and evening on weekends.

6. What is a good SK friend? Someone who is knowledgeable, understanding, and patient. A crazy sense of humor helps, in my personal opinion. Someone who knows how to keep the natter and jokes flowing during long and grueling dungeon runs, but knows when to shut up and listen during challenge rooms/boss fights.

7. What three words best describe you? Ditzy, quirky, veteran.
