I ain't surprised when it comes down to the real issues in the game the devs are no where to be found. I completely support this thread because I think gunners don't get there fair shake.
Dear Devs, do you have something against gunners? (good to see some changes, fixing the hats would be nice though...)
No kidding Hollafarmer, I totally agree.
x - taken out because it didn't make sense.
Where the heck are the devs? If you develop the game you need to listen to the people that actually play the game! This thread will live on until we are heard, or if locking this thread is apparently the best solution to the gunner problem, then it isn't like we don't have the support to start a new one.
No more graphics updates. No more irrelevant surveys. Gun balancing and new content is what we need! Give us some feedback!
Dude, seriously, they just did. Just be patient, the update is coming...
"They just did?" And what update would that be? And where is this update that you know about which we don't that is "coming..."??? The most I have seen is claims that they will fix Handguns in January and 0 and 1 star balance and graphic changes and buffs to the brandish line which was already a popular weapon. And pointless surveys about pets and MORE equipment???
x - taken out because it didn't make sense.
"Can you see how upset I am???????????????????"
The Devs most likely answer to someone who has them prioritize some changes over others, otherwise, I don't think they'd be making themselves effigies for us noisy, hemorrhaged forum-users.
What exactly were you referring to when you told me not to look at the wiki(which I never even mentioned getting my information from, by the by)?
I ask simply because I have to wonder why you singled me out when I only reiterated what every gunner has stated ad infinitum save for the ASI comment, which I immediately retracted when told otherwise.
"The Devs most likely answer to someone who has them prioritize some changes over others"
It doesn't matter WHO tells the devs what. If they cannot look at the bad of balancing 0 and 1 star items in the game instead of gunner and bomber gear which we have been wanting for a LONG time... that is disappointing.
That is exactly what we have been wanting: Fix your priorities, devs!
"otherwise, I don't think they'd be making themselves effigies for us noisy, hemorrhaged forum-users."
No, but some respect and time out of their working time would be nice for a change. Forums are the only place we can go to speak out, and the devs should realize this as well and take advantage of this - actually listen to us and think about implementing what we have been wanting.
x - taken out because this doesn't make sense
Edit: Maeko OH that wasn't directed toward you. It isn't your fault you read pathetic information from the terrible wiki in that awful "Gunslinger Guide". It is the fault of the wolver clones who think their opinions and tiny gun experience applies to a wiki-worthy "Gunslinger Guide." We don't even refer to ourselves as gunslingers. We call ourselves gunners!!! So yeah sorry I wasn't mad at you, just using the information you got from the wiki as a stepping stone to argue the wiki and explain its uselessness for people searching for help about the game itself instead of numbers.
Well to be fair, swordies don't call themselves swordmasters, either. The gunslinger guide isn't THAT bad, and it's very helpful for a newbie deciding on a type of weapon to use (it was quite helpful for me). And it's a wiki; if it's bad just edit it. But there is a lack of detailed information on there about guns, and it's really up to those of us who are experienced with guns to put it in.
Seriously? I mean Really?
I will admit that my tone was a bit accusatory considering I had just had someone be a bit rude to me with little to no provocation, but did that necessitate a response like THAT?
I NEVER once mentioned using the damned wiki for my information as I stated in my previous post. Note that I used both the term Gunner and Gunslinger simply because they fit at that specific instance. I have never read the blasted Gunslinger Guide because I have no interest in becoming one, hell, Bombing just began to catch my eye.
You're accusing me of things I have very specifically stated I have done the opposite of, is it that hard to read more than one line into a post or are you just flaming for attention now?
The issue is that the idea that ASI does not currently affect reload speed seems to be false. Rawr believes that the source of this notion is from the wiki. I think it's sort of a community assumption that nobody's really bothered to question for quite a while. He doesn't really mean any hostility toward you, he's just frustrated that your working knowledge is wrong, which is hardly your fault so much as the fault of the community as a whole for propagating incorrect information.
It doesn't matter WHO tells the devs what.
Good luck ever holding on to a job, chump change.
"You're accusing me of things I have very specifically stated I have done the opposite of, is it that hard to read more than one line into a post or are you just flaming for attention now?"
I explained that it was not directed toward you. When people are angry they tend to get careless. When I found something that could easily branch off of how bad the wiki is, my anger started, and I couldn't help but type. Again, I explained how it wasn't at all directed toward you or even concerning you. If it bothers you, you can ignore it or go into the suggestion forums and suggest a forum /ignore type thing for example.
How it works is that I make what you said more of a problem than it really is, and show people that read this thread that the true blame is on the wiki. Then people start to think the wiki is bad.
Think of my posts as... propoganda? And think how propaganda does not care about people's feelings as long as they can rub dirt on something? (yeah I'm dead inside) Flaming for attention exactly as you said it - just the difference between me and, say Chris, is that I want to have attention drawn to how inaccurate the wiki is. Chris, being the example, wants attention drawn to himself which is different.
See what I am saying?
Sorry if already been said, haven't read the whole thing yet.
Bombers:
BOMB Bandolier
Swordsmen:
Side BLADE
Parrying BLADE
Gunners:
Nothing.
You have to admit though, bombers could use a bit of sets as well. Only elemental gear.
SHADOWsun Set.
Why isn't this set Shadow Defense? (Yes, there is Deadshot, but thy applies to guns, bombs, and swords.)
Gunners need some new stuff. Not going to beg OOO for it, but some stuff needs to be added.
Here's a pretty simple solution.
If you don't like it, quit until they put out changes you do like.
No one's forcing you to play the game. No one's even forcing you to like it regardless of the lack of "content" that you feel so justifiable in having. Honestly, claiming the developers are putting more priority on idle chit-chat as opposed to actual content is just insulting as it is. It'd be another thing entirely if I saw people who normally -don't- interact with members posting, but the most I've seen is Eurydice and Nick. As far as I know (and I could be wrong, but it's not very likely at this point), Nick oversees development (see: he's a boss, he doesn't have to work all the time if he doesn't want to) and Eurydice does community management (see: it's her job to post with idle chit-chat and monitor the forums as a whole).
Does this mean I support the amount of effort put into the game looking good and giving new players a new toy to play with? Not entirely. I mean, it's a nice perk, but let's be realistic - Proto Sword with a charge attack is nigh useless to begin with. But does this mean I support outright accusations saying that OOO is doing a poor job? Of course not. As a result, I highly suggest you wait until their next "big" content update before further critiquing their work ethic. I'd much prefer an actual content update with entirely new mechanics to immerse myself in than having a few gunners feeling better about themselves because they can do more damage. And another fun fact - I've toyed around with gunner sets before, and I'd venture to say that with the amount of distance you're able to maintain while dealing a near-constant stream of damage with various guns, excluding Blitz and Callahan, that gunners as a whole have it pretty nice at the moment. I'm not saying they're perfect but by no means are gunslingers as in "dire need" of an update as it's made out to be.
tl;dr - with members like you I'm pretty sure the fact that we've made as much progress as we have is a miracle in and of itself. Let's get actual content first since I'm fairly certain a majority of people would want that as opposed to caving to a few peoples' ideas of fairness for gunners.
As a non-gunner, i totally agree with you (wait wut?)
Anyhow, just to make sure, did you send this directly to OOO? (using the support mailing thing- here's the link: https://www.spiralknights.com/support/#mail)
Kalaina and ASI-reload:
That's cool. I recently came back from a break (August-January) - that's something that I don't think anyone really quantitatively tested.
I think it's sort of a community assumption that nobody's really bothered to question for quite a while
^
yeah. It's probably a little less noticeable than ASI on a troika 9_9
Rawrcake's
We are more insterested in 3 word games and where we got our usernames, apparently, because that is where all the dev action is. Not in things regarding the actual game itself.
There's a difference between a developer and a forum admin :3
Developers are involved with the making of the game (and may have admin priveleges, ex Nick, who's a lead designer), but forum admins are generally just in charge of the community lol.
Yeah, Eury pointed that out to me Seiran thanks as well - I feel like a whole chunk of what I said is kind of invalid now. I have to think of a way to improvise somehow now.
Free bumper stickers until then.
We wouldn't be arguing if shadowsun was buffed, hat graphics change, 2 star versions of magnus and gunslinger set, antigua lines go pure, nameless gained fire resist, pepperbox charge attack fixed to not make the mobs suck in, and deadshot unique to guns. Just a thought >> these are the things we want. Why not just add them you know.. sure it would cost whatever money to implement it and some time but... I would quit crying. Make this top priority instead of other things so I stop the crying sooner.
Since everyone seems to be hung up on the fact that the devs aren't responding to any gunning threads, riddle me this: is it possible that gunning is already the way they want it? At the end of the day the devs are the only ones that can change the game, and the fact that they haven't changed anything since the complaints started says to me that they like gunning how it is.
Just a thought to process. Rage away.
They definitely realize there's an imbalance - just look for threads that Nick has made.
Changing/rebalancing items (guns with specific mention) is on the list of things to do. The question is when it will happen.
If you haven't ever tried balancing something, it takes a long time with a lot of tweaking and testing, especially with multiplayer games :x
The point I've just seen on the way down, remove the fishing rod charge from the Pepperbox, is bad.
The rest is good. But I'd never touch my Volcanic Pepperbox again if it became a firey Blitz Needle. The charge attack is what makes it so unique.
@The-Rawrcake
Wiki guides are created by community, not single person. So go ahead and edit it!
You seem to have vast experience with handguns (no irony) so share it with other players.
"But apparently our current concern is Bechamel's gender."
Why not discuss it in general? I mean, it's not like it's -replacing- the discussion about balancing and items. There is such a thing as having two discussions going on at once.
The forums are meant to be a social place. Some people just wanna lay back, relax, and have a little fun discussing some ideas and such. Not all of us want to think about game mechanics and combat all day, some of us do like looking at and discussing the characters and the world.
@Starterknight, have you used the fishing rod charge to your advantage on something? If so, what are some examples? I have a hard time with a monster slipping out of range a little to the right / left of the rest of my bullets when my fiery pepperbox charges in their face.
@Wuvvums, I never said that those threads themselves are bad, they are fun, but what I did not like is seeing the purple always be active in those threads instead of these threads, BUT now I know that those aren't devs there is actually a difference between an admin that helps community / develops. I went back up and x-ed out that stuff.
When you say "our concern" it implies that this is the concern of other players instead of the people who make the game. Saying "their concern" would have made it less misleading of a statement.
At this point I wouldn't really be affected by a gun update, personally, since I've shelled out the money to acquire:
* CTR High Blitz
* Fiend High Blitz
* Beast VH Blitz
* Fiend VH Callahan
* Slime High/ASI Low Umbra
* Gremlin VH Umbra
* Construct VH Polaris
* Undead VH Polaris
* Undead VH Nova
* Beast High BTB
* Fiend VH Flourish
* Piercing Max Justifier Set
* Shadow Med Justifier Set for Shadow Lairs
* Shock Med Nameless Set
* Fire High Nameless Sash for FSC
* Normal High Divine Mantle for FSC
* Shadow Med Deadshot Set for Candlestick and Graveyards
* 2x Elite Trueshot
* 1x Elite Quick Draw
* 1x Elite Handgun Focus
And am looking to soon acquire:
* 1x Elite Quick Draw
* 1x Elite Handgun Focus
* Shadow Med Valkyrie so I can Deadshot/Valkyrie in Dark City (will have to wear at least one Quick Draw to mitigate ASI losses and probably two)
* Construct VH Nova
Now the point of this post isn't to point out how awesome my stuff is. The point is that the average player isn't going to be able to afford anywhere near what I have.
I have been told by one person that I am the best gunner he has ever seen in terms of damage output, and the only person he has seen who has ever been able to deal a level of damage even comparable to that of a sword user. I've been told by another person that my Blitzing on Vana is on an entirely different level than most. I've been told by yet another that my very presence instills a feeling of security.
And the way I play? Sure I can do the "kite room and Polaris" thing, and I'll do it if I'm in solo. But in a group? You'd have to be kidding me, because that does NOT help my party. What helps my party is being in the mix and taking the aggro of monsters which would otherwise be attacking my teammates. What helps my party is having a damage output that is high enough to take things out quickly. I don't have time, for example, to fire four Polaris clips at a Gun Puppy to kill it, and my party doesn't have that time either. Those bullets are going to kill us and removing them is going to preserve us. Range gives me the power to kill what needs to be killed before it has a chance to wreak havoc on my party.
So anyone who says "lol guns make me safer, who cares about damage output?" isn't really contributing much to a party when they use guns other than using their health as an extra life battery for the dead swords. Yes, it's counter-intuitive for me, as a gunner, to constantly be surrounded by enemies, but that's the way it needs to be in order for me to make a legitimate positive contribution to my team. And guns don't have short-range knockback like swords do, so I either shield bump (which I do a lot of) or I get hit (which I also do a lot of, particularly when using the Blitz).
And if you're in the fray, you need abilities to stay alive and deal enough damage to make a difference. You need BOTH your VH+ ASI and your VH+ Damage, and Max damage is sort of a godsend compared to VH (good luck finding room for CTR). With my VH UVs, I can play with my trinkets and get what I want. Without them, I am noticeably less effective.
As for armor, guns don't have a Shadow set, so I can play around with some sets that have Shadow defense and give Medium vs an enemy type and preserve most of my abilities while still getting Shadow defense. Deadshot, Valkyrie, Divine Veil. 'Course, gotta get UVs on all of those, too, if I want to have UVs. And for FSC? lol, hope you have Fire UV Nameless and/or a Divine Veil, because without it you're going to burn to death.
So if you're like me and you can afford to have all these things, congratulations! You can be an effective gunner! With practice, of course; gunning is not easy. If you're trying to play guns without shelling out the major cash, though, you're probably going to be more of a negative asset to your team than a positive one.
And don't even get me started on how long it's taken me to actually find these things for sale. You could have tens of thousands of CE and not be able to buy some of the things I have if you wanted to.
As I have said before, I am willing to play this game fighting tooth and nail to keep up with my swordie teammates. But how many people are willing to do that?
I don't know, you already said that you had to invest a lot of time and money into the game. My gunner is free to play so right now there is still a restriction of working with only two weapons and mostly using the 3-star armor and shield that got me into tier 2. Not everyone can drop a lot of time and money into the game and invest and experiment enough to see what makes the most damage output, so I think being the health-contributor is still something that it thoughtful and helpful and better than nothing. Do you think you would have been able to do the same things you could have done from a F2P perspective? Do you think it matters as much in tier 2?
@Starterknight, have you used the fishing rod charge to your advantage on something? If so, what are some examples? I have a hard time with a monster slipping out of range a little to the right / left of the rest of my bullets when my fiery pepperbox charges in their face.
Firstly, gremlin menders/silkwings.
These little monsters like to hide behind a group of people (or in a more recent run, the Rabid Snarbolax(ii/es)). The charge pulls them out, with the auto aim turned off. You can pull them in, shield bump, and loop until they die in a flaming mess.
At point blank against Lumbers/Trojans/Puppies, the damage is phenomenal, where the Blitz Needle fails against 2 of those 3.
But yeah, my main use for it is Puppies, Lumbers and Silkwings.
Well, I didn't always have all this stuff. Here's the "I don't want to spend a lot of money but still want to be useful" guide:
* Full Nameless or Nameless/Justifier will give you VH ASI
* Two Elite Trueshots will give you VH Damage
These are pretty much a requirement. Without the ASI, you're going to be spending a lot more time reloading (unless you do shoot&wait, which I find is not fun). Without the Damage, you're going to be weak.
Before you hit 5*, you'll be at Medium ASI and probably no Damage if you don't have trinkets. At that point things are a little sketchy. I spent most of that time soloing, so it wasn't too big a deal, but you really won't come into your own until you start getting the abiliites up.
You will want Medium vs type UVs on all your guns (may be hard if you want a Polaris or Antigua). They aren't too expensive, and they go a long way. You will want to aim at carrying three guns at all times, one of each type, and if you don't have a sword in the fourth slot you're going to be annoyed at times. If your Pierce gun is Blitz, you'll want a Snarble of Flourish, and you'll want a Fiend or Beast bonus on it.
With that, you have a functional set of gear that you can use pretty much anywhere, but it really doesn't start to be effective until 5* with four weapon slots and two trinkets. For a f2p player, that itself takes quite a while.
And then, you're going to burn to death in FSC. The lack of Fire resist is brutal. I used to run FSC in no-Fire Nameless and, coupled with my inexperience, it was not pleasant. The gear makes a huge difference, even now with several hundred Almirians under my belt (four points of fire is enough, so I recommend Divine Veil).
So to be a contributing member that does more than play cleric, it doesn't cost THAT much, but it's still generally more costly than swords, you still rely more heavily on your UVs and trinkets than swords and bombs do, you have to come up with Fire resist to run FSC, and you have to accept that Shadow damage is going to murder you (there is no particularly good way to kill devilites and greavers with a gun).
If you want to take it to the next level and be an excellent player that can make a big difference in a party, you pretty much have to go the UVs route, and that becomes exponentially more expensive. If you don't have the money, you're pretty much out of luck.
So gunning is realistically manageable at a "I'm 5* and nothing more" level, but it's still a bit of an uphill slope and you don't really have room for error on what gear you get. It requires a lot of planning.
I planned with going for justifier and a dragon scale combo to get some health increase and a bit of resistances. It seems to work well so far in tier 2. I went to make an iron slug before working on the needleshot since I didn't want to be all piercing. I haven't started to work on a third gun yet but I was thinking of doing a cryotech alchemer. I'm wary of the polaris because it just seems too good to be true and I am expecting some nerf of that in the future.
I don't know why everyone seems to assume I'd like to just gear myself for FSC. Yes, it's profitable. Yes, it's fun every once in awhile to do with friends. I don't really want to invest myself into being the kind of player who runs it five times a day. I just want to log in, have a fun run with my ME, save for a few things and log out. Some people just aren't as invested and I am likely not to follow your advice because I like my play style but overall I will not likely take it as seriously as other players. I just want to play in parties, play with a couple friends, and mostly have a good time in tier 2. I enjoy being a gunner, even if I am less than perfect doing it. Maybe they'll even balance guns in a way that you don't have to be super invested an plan very long term and get UVs to make it work, and make it more viable for casual play.
Wow never really looked at all of the Gunslinger Hats at the same time. I knew they lacked variation and had lackluster stats, but wow.
There are 6 hats: Gunsligner Hat 3*, Sunset Stetson 4*, Deadshot Chapeau 5*, Justifier Hat 5*, Nameless Hat 5*, and Shadowsun Stetson 5*. Of these 6 hats there is only 1 model that comes in two colors (white having a badge). Two of these the Deadshot Chapeau and the the Justifier Hat remain exactly the same from 3*-5*.
6 pieces of gear 3*-5* that only have 2 different looks is pretty crazy lazy.
I know I am just saying what has already been said, but evidently it has not been said enough times to get fixed...
Well, the main reason to aim at having FSC gear is because it's the main place where defensive gear is truly important. I've found that both Nameless and Justifier tend to muddle through just about anything pretty well, with the exception of Dark City and Candlestick, but some Fire resist is crucial for FSC.
Alternate armor can be great, but the problem is that each and every piece you get costs money, and the focus of discussing gunning for the average player is sort of on being as effective as possible on as little money as possible. So if you go for Dragon Scale and later decide you want something else, you're sort of out of luck until you can scrounge up another 2k CE to make a different piece.
At the end of the day, if you're good enough you can avoid most attacks, at which point gear doesn't really matter. One of the great things about Spiral Knights is that player skill is sort of the basis for how effective anyone is, and gear just serves to amplify that effectiveness. Not everyone has to gear optimally to enjoy the game. I just feel like your average non-optimal sword user is going to have an easier time than your average non-optimal gun user provided that they can actually avoid enemy attacks (and at lower levels of play avoiding the enemies while using swords is a considerable issue whereas guns is less so, but I don't think anyone wants guns to be the "noob's weapon," especially since at higher levels of play it seems to me that it's easier to avoid damage with swords than it is with guns due to their short-range knockback, Polaris spamming excepted).
For me, optimizing my gear is just as fun as playing the game itself. If that's not the case, then don't bother. But guns are more than "kite and spam" and there's a lot fun to be had exploring the nuances of things like alchemer bounce tactics and how to dodge attacks from enemies that you're trying to ignore in order to shoot something else, and if you're ever looking to take things to a higher level because you've capped out all your existing gear, you'll probably find that gunners are going to have a harder time than swords because there are fewer options and the heightened importance of abilities. Which is the reason behind this thread.
The devs aren't going to and don't need to turn the ASI Medium on Nameless/Justifier into ASI High, increase the damage on all guns, or any sort of silly straight buff like that, but they do need to provide us more things to work with that are equally good to the things we have now, mainly in the form of even just one armor set (i.e. make Shadowsun not terrible) and maybe some status resist on our current sets. We really don't need much.
Or they could nerf sword, gun, and bomb armor, and make everyone spend more money exploring alternate armor, or buff alternate armor so that more people of all weapon types find a reason to equip it. There are a lot of things that could be done, but as it stands now swords have it best by far and those of us who want to keep up with them have to spend ridiculous amounts of money on a large quantity of UVed gear to do so.
It all goes back to the folklore that Spiral Knights are techno knights. So they are knights (which traditionally use swords) who can also use technological weapons (like guns and bombs).
So maybe the Devs are thinking guns should be treated like sidearms and niche weapons. Bombs somehow get a different (and slightly better) treatment because they are needed for AoE and crowd control.
But yea, if you look at the equipment for each of the three roles (swordies, gunners and bombers), swordies clearly have the more comprehensive set of equipment. Bombers follow as second (but they lack piercing resistance equipment, if you don't count Mercurial set as a bomber set) and gunners as distant third.
If you are survivability, solo oriented like me (you can judge I am a loner based on my character) then do what Kal does but swap a Supernova instead of Polaris, Hail instead of other alchemer, and Callahan instead of Blitz.
Supernova - The knockback is more stable. Shock will not mess it up. Can be used on everything, and still useful on gun puppies with interrupting. Charge attack shocks not at all so the charge attack is more useful to knock back a melee-range mob, so get a CTR UV.
Callahan - Sacrifices damage for mobility. Both blitz and Cally can kill dodgers, blitz just does it faster and Cally does it safer. Same deal with Vana, once you learn how to not make bad stun and to shield cancel instead of pause between bullets, it is an amazing survivability option for Vana to pass barriers. I'd say the best weapon over AP for soloing vanaduke with mobility (if you learn to blitz on vana at the right times that is obviously better. Remember this is for soloing / survivability, so you won't have a pocket shiver). Desired UV is ASI.
Hail Driver - you have to learn how to position splits so you don't unfreeze as everyone says happens with every single freeze for some reason. It is not what happens, the freeze is awesome for kiting. You'll find out cool things like most charge attacks with clipped splits are usually going to freeze the enemy. Use this on Vanaduke first phase for some funniness without ever having to move for first phase (until the freeze doesn't work / zombs are an issue). Desired UV is ASI for survivability instead of CTR. Charge attacks on guns leave you the most vulnerable of any state even more so than reloading, and you can easily still one shot gun puppies if you do a pre-phase charge prep before you step on a button etc.
Then you'll also want to have Polaris for gun puppies. Why Supernova > Polaris is polaris is never to be used as a DPS gun, only for utility knockback. Supernova just does that better. But what isn't bad about Polaris is its usefulness on gun puppies, which is why you'll still want to get one.
So there is more options for survivability. But if you group, Kal is right you want to focus on dealing damage without knocking back so refer to her post if you aren't a loner like me.
Just remember with soloing / survivability oriented gear... as Kal said: "At the end of the day, if you're good enough you can avoid most attacks, at which point gear doesn't really matter. One of the great things about Spiral Knights is that player skill is sort of the basis for how effective anyone is, and gear just serves to amplify that effectiveness."
So with that in mind, it is still hilarious fun to Hail Driver charge attack on Vana easy phases and fan Supernova bullets in a corner and never have to move :)
I just love it how the DEVS gave the Pepperbox a MASSIVE nerf to the point where the gun is absolutely useless. AND then you get wolver clones spamming in the forums defending this change saying that " push back is always good for guns " " It's better now, plus it was Oped before"
love it love it LOVE IT!
At least we got the Mask of Seerus. :U The CTR and ASI bonuses are pretty decent, plus it looks kinda badass... (Although my major gripe is that it's a P2P only feature, unless you want a 4k unbinding fee.)
But I do admit that there are still a considerable number of things that need tweaking. I want my ASI-boosted Valiance to actually do decent damage, rather than be used for pure turret muzzling purposes... oh, and better hats.
._.
this thread appears to be on page 1 again.
It's really funny how a few people latched onto my Bechamel thread as an example of the devs being really frivolous and having poor priorities when in fact those were forum staff posting in that thread and not those actually involved in game development... Seriously, there's a list of the people actually involved in game making available both ingame and on the Wiki.
One cursory look would have told you none of the people actually making stuff happen game-wise were in that thread.
It's (still) even funnier the devs can make dragon wings and awesome missions and things that need money to get but can't repaint a few hats.
There is something wrong with Guns .
I been playing since july of last year , and just last month was able to finally craft the Valience. But its still weaker than my Silent blade. And i get the feeling thats how it is for all guns.
So if OOO is going to make weapons that are inneffective why put them out at all?? My guess they did that on purpose. Why? because then the game would be to easy. I mean think about it in RL or in other games guns are better than swords. ( Except when you run out of ammo ). Which is probably a reason why guns are the way they are.
EDIT :
And how about >>
New Hats for gunners? Something without that stupid star or the bandana looking thing??? How about a different style OTHER than Western wear??
I mean come on now use your imagination. I alss agree that there needs to be more options when it comes to customizing them too.
wow, necroed for me.
The hats still remain the most obvious and glaring issue, can't they do some simple re-texturing?
All very solid points, and I have to agree. I wont address on every issue, but I will say my biggest gripes with the current state of gunslingers would have to be our lack of a Shadow Lair set, and not having a piercing antigua.
Different looks for the hats, 2* armor, a bit of a nerf, and a gunslinger shield (Shadow Lair set too?) would have to be ranked high on my 'Do Want' list too.

"1 thread about a week ago asking for lizard suits to be able to have wings and they make the change"
Nope. The devs were already going to do that. If you checked out the dragon wings on the facebook page, they showed a volcanic salamander using them. The post for wings on chroma came after that, becuase people wanted to look like the chromalisk in the picture. OOO obviously would have let you put dragon wings on salamander, the fourmers just got them to open that up early.
