It's the username I use in this particular forum, where some of its members invited me to play this game.
Initially refused since I don't like playing MMORPGs that much, but after being offered so many times, decided to try it for their sake.
I have another name for gaming purposes, but to make it easier for them to recognize me, I use the forum name instead.
So yeah.

My favorite color is blue, and seeing that this game is about knights, I said "eh, I'll be the blue knight". Blueknight was taken, so then I thought, "I'll just add er to the end since nothing else fits". If I had known that you can use dashes in your name, I woulda been more creative with my IGN.

Uh, I usually try to go by Nomad or some variation of it, but the name maker on SK is one of the most fickle I've seen. What is the point of making it so you can't do the same 3 letters in a row? So people can't make a name to bash OOO?
Anyway, I got annoyed with my failure and I went with Noomad. I tried to tell guildies just to call me nomad, but now I'm Noo or Noom......... ah well :D

Ah, I completely missed your post Melisan, by the way are you a girl as well? Not that there's anything wrong with it, just never figured there would be one that would know a game like this. Except for the girl who sold me a list of games but that was her brother trying to sell stuff, but I was also living in SF at the time, maybe that increased my chances of encountering it. Saw you at haven before too a couple of times.
This was one of the earliest games I've played and bought from someone in class before as well. Still have fond memories because of the 2p fun and the ability to choose 4 characters. I guess it does look weird on the new screens. I've played final fight 2 between my old rca and flat screen tv, and it appears to be more colorful on the flat screen one. I still say it's better for the tv and meant to be on tv, since it tends to be more pixelated than monitors, but I don't mind it either way.

I needed something random and
I needed something random and dumb. I didn't care to get INTO SK, at the time. So being that I love the color red, and I'm a guy, and Redguy was taken, I went with Redredredguy. (I skipped over 2 reds, cuz 3 is better than 2..... Also I'm the 3rd born son in my family, so that can be a "no longer hidden" reason to my name. :b)

A summer wasted.
Not this summer, but the one before that, I had just discovered Spiral Knights, my brother and I just could not stop talking about it. So after a lot of bickering before we went to sleep every night, by brother decided to be Fire themed (just like everyone else, lol) and me to be poison themed. We were searching for the coolest armour and weapons for poison. I decided that panache was best, saw the Biohazard on the wiki, and BAM! Venomousbiohazard.

Well, I've been using this IGN for some time now. Back when I was making my first account on an MMO, I wanted to create a creative name that wasn't created off of my usual Greek usernames Astraeus, an original Greek titan of the heavens or Iolaus, Hercules's nephew who aided him on some of his 10 labors, that I used on account names on game websites (i.e. Kongregate, Addicting Games, etc...) Anyways, I wanted to combine my first name Raymond with a word that I got by accident in a Scrabble game when I was little, razer - someone who razes. Also, usually I am a swordsman by default, so it all goes well together. Out of this comes the name Rayzrblade – Epic swordsman who can tear down cities... Rayzerblade, Rayzer, Rayzr, Reyzr, Reyzer are all variations if Rayzrblade just happens to be taken, but mainly they are alternate accounts. Also, if you are on an MMO and you have run into any of these variations it was probably me. Not many people have used this name. =D

I can haz name!
I was looking up all the weapons and armors on the wiki when I started playing and wanted to use guns. I wanted to name myself "Gunhaver", which was a reference to a Homestar Runner character (leader of the Cheetmandos), but it 'twas taken. Wen't with the next best thing; Gunhavok! I wan't to wreck havoc... with guns! Replaced the "c" with a "k" for good measure!
Best part about the name is that I wound up going with swords anyway, so the name now has some ironic humor behind it! XD

When I first started
When I first started using the internet over some 20 years ago, I rapidly worked out calling my self by my real name was not a particularly good idea as there appeared to be quite a few of them. At the time the "Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy" was a very popular book, everyone however wanted to be a Zaphod, Ford, Trillian etc. So I picked what I hoped was a obscure name "Oolon" short for "Oolon Colluphid", it also happens to be on the first page of the book! Not to be mistake with "Oolong", which is a kind of tea and a character from DragonBall.
Generally the name as worked out well, for 15 years it was in fact unique, the only problem is the fact that many sites now require a minimum of 6 characters.

Totally made up.
I found that if you cram enough As and Ks into a name, it sounds vaguely Japanese. Now, I personally am American and am not as crazy about their culture as some people I know, but a couple years ago I needed (for reasons that are very complex and by now totally irrelevant) a name that sounded eastern. As a side note (also for complex and irrelevant reasons) I wanted a name that could be shortened to Ammy. So I got this, and I've used it in several places since then.
Amusingly, it worked fine up until I joined Kage no Senshi, whom you'd think would know better, and everyone thought I was a girl.

Tradition
Its become a tradition for this name, after first creating it in 2007, for me to use it. Anywhere on the internet, if you come across my username, you can be sure it is me. At one point the name became its own story of an exiled elven prince forced to go into hiding after an entire empire of elves was wiped out. Taking up piracy as a way to avoid detection he becomes known as a fable, whispers of an undying pirate who haunts the seas, claiming ships but never lives.

Also, it's a shortened version of another name that I use for most of my Internet personas. The longer name has no significant meaning, I just thought it sounded neat back when I was in high school.

I chose my name because...
When I joined SK, it was just after I had read the book "Fire World" (by Chris D'Lacey) and the name of a battleground was called Isenfier(pronounced "Ice and Fire" strangely) and I liked how it looked, but without the e I felt it looked better, and people would pronounce it only 1 way lol. So it stuck.
For everything else though I use ProjectRay12 because
1. Project makes it seem awesomer-ish. (I feel like a sci-fi thing gone wrong, Me Gusta ^_^)
2. Ray is my middle name and I love it
3. 12 is my favorite and lucky number(off the record, second favorite is 7, then 3, then 2. This unintentionally makes 12 XD)

My original name was "TairyHesticle", a witty spoonerism if I say so myself, but was changed by GMs for being vulgar to "Hairy-Knight". Obviously not quite as witty or dashing at all, so I spoke with the GMs to have my name changed to my favorite real-life gunslinger: Dirty Harry. It fit fairly well since everyone was getting into the habit of calling me "Hairy" already.

Funny story
I've always gone as Malken, derived from Grimalkin, the ancient shadowy cat-demon that nobody seemed to have known of.
That name was taken though, so I added some letters.
Imagine my surprise and joy when my cousins were added to the game, in their classic renditions!

For those who don't know: Solaire of Astora, AKA Knight Solaire is an NPC in Dark Souls who will offer help for certain boss fights. Widely considered to be the most bro NPC in the game.
My main's IGN is Tlachtli, which is the name of an Aztec ballgame similar to a combination of basketball and volleyball. I wrote a report on it for a high school Spanish project. I thought the name sounded cool, so I've been using it as my screen name for most things online since then.
