Time to upate the wiki
It's time update the wiki with accurate information pertaining to the AVERAGE selling prices of things.
I see too many threads about this stuff popping up, how about we put it all in one place eh?
Notice I said AVERAGE, as in ranges, not exact prices.
You are correct opinions aren't fact, however prices are not opinions nor fact, they are an understanding among the community.
Take your local stores, they have prices set that they know people are going to buy at and in turn the people know the stores has prices they are willing to pay.
It's an average price system
Oh, there is information, and there is indeed a average price value, in fact most of us sell at or below market value. Take Iron Gear's they sell at about 800.
They sell at 800? I should probably stop selling them for 500 each then.
Which is exactly the problem. Everyone just guesses at a decent price. It really shouldn't ever go on the wiki, but maybe the bazaar will be able to nail things down given some more time.

If we had an auction house, this would occur naturally.
Anyway these are still opinions, but

Someone else who did more research:

The node 3777 is the exact list I use to set my prices, but it's missing some entries and is ..bothersome.
yes I really want a goddamn auction house but alas I don't think we are getting one.
@Fractals That is what I sell them at and I haven't had a single person complain.
Opinion or understanding, it means the same thing in this context. Point is, if it isn't ingrained into the game code itself, it doesn't belong in the wiki.
Prices are an opinion on the value of an item. A wiki only shows information about hard facts.
Opinion is not fact.
Also:
Price averages will not be accurate. You're trying to gather data in a market where no-one has information. It's just not possible.
Price averages change daily depending on which strata are in the currently open gates, and even hourly depending on how many people are online.
Drop rates and a whole bunch of other stuff is still being tweaked. Until the coding is stable, prices will continue to change significantly.
