A few important points:
- Our first attempt post patch
- Nobody had an optimum setup (except maybe Entro)
- I didn't take any trinkets
- I didn't use blitz for the most part
- Baod is sexy
- Guards didn't spawn, however this makes no real difference as they should be ignored anyway (so it just means less to worry about)

Loads of people can do proto only. It is nothing special :/
Vanaduke's attacks are so slow and predictable, that with a little practice anyone can do it without taking any damage.
It only starts to get hard if you go fast, or use swords only (because you are very likely to take a hit).

It is not offensive xD Just because someone beats you at something does not mean they are insulting you... it is a game, there is competition, it happens.

We aren't doing anything that should offend you, we are not saying you are unskilled or whatever, we are merely stating that you do not hold the current record; simple facts.

Surely that would be more confusing to other people, and if anything it is disrespectful as we would be going behind your back and not informing you it has been done faster, leaving you misinformed.

For some people these videos are "nothing special", but most players can learn something new by watching them. How many people were regularly using hammer for Vanaduke before I posted my first video? I don't know any. Now even in random parties I see it more often.

Another reason why I post videos - forum users can point out my mistakes and give an advice on how to do something better, faster, more efficiently. There is so many little things which can improve your game, and usually you learn them from somebody else - your friends, random parties, forum posts or youtube videos. I've learned what weapon switching trick is, extremely useful technique by the way. That's what SK forum is all about - sharing experience and opinions.

Now do it with FoV, I PROMISE YOU it will beat this record with a shorter time. x4 = x4 FoV charge = WWAAAAATTTTTAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLL

weapon switching trick dosent learn from anybody, just I discovered that is the most fast way to shot a gun, I used from many times ago, in ld amd pve.

Anyone can do it, it is a matter of how well...

I ve doin milles of tymes that do Nalrayi, but i dont record it, because i dont have the conditions (hardware) to do it

You do mediocre runs... and you have to use volcanic plate shield (and I would assume overly defensive armour and trinkets?)

You do realise, we do 20 minute runs on a daily basis. That is the average time it takes, killing everything....

Since when does damage taken have anything to do with skill. Anyone can hide and spam charge attacks. I didn't try not to get hit, I tried to kill stuff fast without running away like a little girl.
So what if it gives ASI High, it is still a 3* shield, so it wont defend me. It is used by people who are skilled enough to use it without having to shield constantly because they unable to dodge attacks. Why should I throw away ASI High, you would have to be an idiot not to want that.

Lol, you do realise you should not necessarily run round in circles... This can lead to duke attacking when facing team, you should side step his attacks instead. (Unless you are spinning with the fireballs, but this is obviously way too advanced for you).

The point is that vanaduke is just as easy when slag guards spawn.
That only took one attempt. I quit SK for a couple of months recently, so I had not done UFSC in a very long time. So this is with limited experience and no practice.
So, go ahead, it will only take one UFSC to record a video of you beating that time.

honestly, both videos are impressive. I'd pretty cool to see such a discussion engaged based on mutual appreciation and competitive friendly 1-upsmanship. So many great videos, and so much head-in-the-sands pretending like they aren't.

How can anyone deny the impressiveness of Kats performance on clearly a poorly performing computer---granted, its nothing compared to my old laptop that literally froze for 2-6 seconds every time vana's mace dropped. No one in the world could no death vana with that (or FSC) simple wasn't possible. But still, given such crappy connections; some truly awesome feats. And that 33 min no death no heal video O.O amazing!!! (well assuming it was as advertised, i wasn't about too sit thru 33 mins of bombing vana. Still a heck of an accomplishment, and wicked impressive.

And strudul and nalrayi's videos, they are a sight to behold too. Such ruthless efficiency, time effectiveness!!! (altho i do think the no slags is intentional, seems like whenever some1 leaves 3 or more zombies alive, slags are likely not to plox) but even if so, if you are aiming for a timed run record, and you could improve the chances of no slags WHILE NOT TAKING TIME TO KILL ZOMBIES...i mean, it'd be dumb not to.

Also, strudul, i really don't agree with your whole shield elitism premise, but its mad impressive that you were doing UFSC with a swift strike, lol. nice. But you really need to either A) get off the one man crusade to force your shield opinion on everyone. Its opinion, not fact. Katt has earned my respect as being right there on you guys' level, which is big compliment (to all three of you). The things she is doing is dang impressive, a gun only run that utilizes something other than the A++ vana guns. A no-deaths bomb only Vana. I don't doubt that she'd have any trouble doing some of the more impressive feats you guys have done, once she practices it once or twice.

Just like despite her "challenge runs" its silly for her to try to dismiss the crazy speed runs you guys have done. As well as (particularly nalrayi) innovating new play styles vs Vana, and bringing them to the community and demonstrating how they are to be done. Nor should she claim she has done everything you guys have done before you did it :/ i'm sure she had done some of those things, but all of them???? not buying it.

This should be a game recognizes game thread. Friendly challenges should be being issued (not vindictive call-outs).

Just my opinion.. All the videos in this thread actually make up for the content of the posts. But a little mutual respect would make this one of the best threads on the forums i've seen in quite some time.
