I could have sworn I saw someone with a personal color of blue with white parts on his Culet that matched his Divine Veil perfectly...

Note that I want the wings and bomb bandolier to be Dusky, that is just what I could find in the AH at the moment.
I don't really need the Bomb Bandolier, I just think it's cool.
It's not totally unique, I have seen a couple Angelic + Magic costumes before, but I've never seen anyone using the Chaos Hood and Angelic Raiment to make a Dusky Hooded Angel.

@Serell Probably, and thanks for the compliment! Spent some serious grinding to get that ready. Had those accessories saved away just waiting for when I had the complete set.

Yup I see. Hope you'll use it in the future if you plan to make a new outfit. :3

First one- Just a proto set. Nothing special. Maid headband is just.. no. Ewgh. These things shouldn't exist. The proto crest is completely out of place. The ribbon fits as color theme but meh. Glasses are okay.
Second one- I can see what you wanted to go for with it, but due to the light yellow on the armor which is not seen anywhere on the helm, the outfit is completely torn apart. There's too much red on the helmet and too much grey on the armor. I like your PC though.
Third&Fourth- Yes I did cringe at this. :( Front of the helmet matches nothing, plume is too light to match anything, too much light yellow and the matching greys and reds are too little to make this outfit any better.

And I'm not a lion. I'm a dragonlionsharkalligator. ;)

i have a lovely costume that involves groundbreaker as well as a somewhat unobtainable mask, both nicely accessorized. accessories for both. it'd look amazing. i would share, but if featured AH ever complies, i'll have it. So until then, its locked in the fashionably creative mind of rommy and his glow-bugs. (no it wouldn't have glow-bugs, lol)

maid headband can be used, and used well. But the only helm i can see it going on (aside from a troll accessory) is the heavenly iron helm. Its quite nice on that helm. Prism maid headband and prism glow eyes, a very nice combo.

Sorry for taking so long today. ^^;

@Trydeth
I was always fond of your costume- I generally like hoods and robes, the canteen and wings match nicely, and even your eyes fit well to the theme. The only tiny problem I have- The color of the helm guards. It's a new color not found troughout the outfit, very little on the canteen but that's neglectable. My suggestion is getting prisma helm guards- those will look AMAZING. :)

Not so bad. It's a neat, classic outfit to say so. Casual. 'Dolier would overkill. The rest are just fine. It's an overall nice look that I'd recommend. :)

That's not so bad.. however I can say I'm not a fine of the skelly armor line because of its bulkyness at the shoulders. While the PC may bring it together- the greys from the head which are dominant in the helmet match very little with the light greys on the trims of the hands, which are ot dominant, and there's the browns and light teal-greys of the lehs left out. It's a.. meh, not so bad outfit.

I don't like butting in on Ters's advice, but...

Corrct me if I'm wrong, Ters, but the brownish color on the Heavenly Iron Armor in Trydeth's outfit is an entirely-new-and-unheard-of-elsewhere-in-the-costume-color. I'd suggest not using that armor and using a Silvermail or Valkyrie mail in conjunction with the hood so as to coordinate the colors more.

Yes, while the brown of the outfit stands out, it's uses in the outfit are dulled out by matching greys and it's strong use of one's custom colors. And that brown isn't unheard of. It's every belt and strap found on any armor, including the rest of the Valkyrie series. This armor, in itself, is its own and therefore can be blended with any helm making use in primarily greys and custom colors.

It is found on the hood. The brown is low-centered. It's just fine, it's a nice color not too strident and complements the others. The armors you suggested would make the costume horrible.
He's very well balanced. Except for the guards.

@Cryo
I like the first one, the helm and armors are matchy, PC is pretty good with it and weapon/shield match too. :) Not very original since it's one of the obvious gold chap costumes, but it's nice!

On the second one, my only problem with it is the helmet choice. Due to the accessories put on it, it would blend it nicely with a cobalt (most likely) or sky PC since you'd be able to find a blue (however not the same blue so it's not perfect) similar to that one somewhere else in the outfit. With your current PC the helm's color stands out just too much.

The last one is.. errr... erm. Pumpkin bandolier is the worst colored acc ever made and it overkills it, goggles are too brown on the edges, stranger hats suck and it's blueish/purpleish grey doesn't exactly match the armor, and besides it looks very messy.

You know I'm pretty fond of you costumes- especially the latter. They're nicely balanced and the accessories fit the PC very well. :) They're just neat. Not too fond of the bolted vee on the first one, or how the brown on the helmet is more dominant than that on the armor, but it's neato.

I'm not entirely sure by what you mean, but the helm is the Brute Jelly helm, which is always that color blue. To my knowledge, the jelly helms have never been affected by PC. Admittedly, I'm not too sure what would be a decent replacement, although the T1 seerus mask might work, though getting a regular (not spike) mohawk for it is gonna be one heck of a pain.

I still find it absolutely hilarious, so I'm likely gonna keep it and occasionally swap it out for the T1 seerus mask.

The last one was made on a whim, with very few crowns. I've been debating remaking the whole thing with better colored accessories. Though I'm gonna keep the stranger hat. Though if you thought this was terrible, I should show you how it looked when I had a green player color. XD

I thot that costume was a cool set up. the helm accessories matched the armor like a charm.. the only problem is that that blue jelly helm (or any, the grey, the pink, or the quicksilver) is never going to match the armor. The accessories you attached to the helmet certainly tie it back nicely, and they make it workable, but it still stands out as an outlier in the costume.

p.s. tersakaff, i'm glad pawn and i are not the only two who build our costumes from a "character artist" perspective. Growing up i drew characters all my life (g.i. joes as an adolescent, street fighter characters in junior high, and then just random cool looking characters--ranging from knights, wizards to steampunk style with guns, sword-guns..whatever). All those 100s of 1000s of characters over the course of a youth-time has certainly given me a good eye for what fits and what doesnt. And it sure seems like you are attacking it from that same perspective :)

I am going to make a shock themed costume from Mercurial Demo Suit and Surge Breaker Helm, and I'm wondering - what accessory colours beside Toasty would match it?

I already put a Fancy Spike Mohawk on the helm, which from retrospect was a big mistake, but I'm not going to swap it for another because that would be a waste of crowns. Do you think I can "save" this costume with right choice of other accessories?

Good looks on a low budget

Looking good (subjective point of view) doesn't have to cost a lot, I'm f2p so keeping down the costs has been one requirement for me. I've spent about 125k crowns total on this look (gear + accessories + eyes) and I'm pleased with the results.

I like the first one. It's a pretty neat regal costume, the armor and helmet match, personal color too, as well as the accessories. The only thing I may dislike is the bright grey on the armor, but you can't anything about that. Pretty neat! :)

The second one is considerably worse.. the armor is divine and the helmet is military, the plume is cool and has no colors in common with the rest of the outfit, the helm guards while they may match the PC don't really do much, mustache may match the grey on the armor but the costume is doomed from the start because of the helmet which has nothing in common with the armor. :(

Can't say I like the first one. The armor's white, which is dominant, is not found anywhere else, as well as the helmet's dark grey, and the barrel really wasn't necessary. If the armor was that dark grey from the helmet instead of that white, it would've been a neat costume, minus the barrel, but like this.. :<

On the second one, the cake hat doesn't make it much better...

The third one is neater though. Armors fit and all, as well as the shield and weapon. Your PC would bring it out better if it was something else, liiike.. vermillion for example, creating contrast. Other than that.. not too fond of the bolted vee and plume but I guess they fit your theme. :P

Main costume: http://i.imgur.com/0hyvN.jpg - The purple might be a bit off but I like how it looks anyway :p The Mewkat is there because I like Mewkats @.@ Besides, it goes ok with the pouch at the back of the Dusker Coat. Kinda.

2nd costume: http://i.imgur.com/PIUnR.jpg - I use this one now and then. The top of the cake helm might not be the exact same colour of the poncho but owell :3 It doesn't have any accessories because I only use it VERY rarely so I think it's not worth putting any accessories on it :p

I also have a Skolver Coat with some Regal accessories but I thought that might make your eyes bleed... (it was made when accessories came out.. and I happened to get a few regals in lockboxes... and since I only had the Skolver set at that time, I put them on it.) I can post it though, if you really wanna see it.

Sorry about the huge pics btw, I'm in a lazy day so don't feel like having too much trouble with anything xD

This looks far too amusing to not get in on. Particularly because I can totally follow the logic used in the judging of various compositions but still have a somewhat different taste in what looks nice.

Pretty much my default look by now, although I can't stop drawing Inco in magic hood/ash tail, mainstream as it may be - it's simple and it works for my scribbles even if the amount of hood/coat wearers in Haven makes me not wear it for real. Anywho. My personal gripe with the hood/salasuit would be the amount of grey on the hood that isn't exactly matched in the suit, but eh. Orange prints. <3

So, i'm kinda poor, and i'm still working on getting a Voltedge to tie it all together, and I really want a scarf... soo much moneys....

Tried to go for a beaten up bomber look, hence the broken seerus mask. Thinking about adding a military bomb bandolier, not sure if that would complete it or not.

(Also not quite complete in game, though I will say thank you incoherrant for the loan which let me get that mohawk. :D Still gotta get the helm guards and the cheeky eyes.)

That future costume looks tons better than your current one. Too much clash in your current costume, I'm afraid. Try something more yellowish for the armor, skolver doesn't really work with the bomber helm

That would be a perfectly nice costume if not for the love aura and mewkat. As you said, you just like the mewmew so that's fine. While the pouch mathces the other pouch, the rest of the colors are just.. there.
The helm doesn't repeat the light yellow on the armor, and the love aura just.. ugh. :C

The second one..
I was never fond of these cake helms. I mean, yeah, it's all prismatics, pretty much matches besides that annoying blue and brown, and the candle, but it's nothing really special..

I can see what you're tryung to do with the first one- however as you said yourself, the grey doesn't match at all, the darker, and the lighter one, and the darker volc color is not found on the helm anywhere. PC kinda helps but still.. it's not a bad outfit but I'm not too fond of it.

The second one is decent, the aura is overkill though, and the helmet needs more purple. But otherwise, it's a neat costume. :)

Third- Love puppy and love aura kill it. It was decent before, the white of the armor didn't fully match the light yellow of the helmet but eh.

Seen the last one too much. x_x It's kinda matchy, save for the dark teal but yeah.

Hmm.. goggle and bolted vee aren't too pleasant, especially the goggles, and the bolted is just.. ugh. I'm not sure if the PC would be better as Cobalt though.. Since I can see that you tried to integrate the helm with your current one.

Hmm.. I cann see what you're aiming for with the first one- tying the different colored armor with the helm trough the usage of accessories of the same color as the helm. It's not so bad, however it could use some work, and that is: Yellow Personal Color, Divine accessories on the Helmet.

The second one is okay, but the white bits are just out of place, and the light grey on the helmet doesn't help.

You managed to tie in the seerus mask pretty well with the use of accessories and personal color. While it may not be perfect, it's neat! Bando may overkill, but if you're going for a bomber look...

Ah, the spiral demo and radiant silver costume.. it's a neat choice. The light teal/grey bits on the armor aren't so neat though. And that knight visor makes no sense imo. But it's a nice costume overall. :)

Second one doesn't match at all.

The wings on the third one make no sense and the helmet and armor are WAY overused. They don't fully match either.

Not in a bad way though! You matched it pretty well with accessories and personal color, even the bomb. The only things that nag me are the light grey on the armor and the lack of brown (like in the maedate) on the armor.

It's pretty creative and neat though!

I seriously love this costume. I just discovered it yesterday when putting on everything I have in a mix-matched order. I understand it's not a very categorized costume (i.e. heavy, dusky, regal) but it looks very nice to me and will be what I am wearing for a while until I find something better.

Yeah, this. I have checked, btw, and it looks pretty bad with any other PC than orange - there's a few other shades that aren't awful, but the orange prints on both the hood and armour are always orange. Which is actually why I love them, heh. In a perfect world, the dark grey on the hood would be the sooty, dark purple of the volcanic colourscheme, though. :(
Also, am trying to tie the light grey on top of the helm a bit together with the suit. All the little studs that "keep the armour together" already share a similar shade, so I solved it to my personal satisfaction with the heavy canteen's two strips of it. The grey on the Dragon Scale Shield also ties the hood a bit better to the overall look, imo.

Second, I'm surprised the aura gets the overkill label, as it's really rather subtle looking most of the time. I personally keep wondering if the -wings- are overkill, but no one's ever said so, so I don't even. x) I agree the helmet could totally do with more purple, probably on top of it (or maybe front if I can get over my face-accessory aversion); any suggestions?

Kinder comment than I expected for that one. :P Though I do like it as it is; the red from the puppy, aura and vita-thingy on the back kinda ties it together in my eyes. Unhappyface with the tan on the skolver, but it wouldn't be that character without a skolver face. Magic Hood matches much better, but nyaaa. Skolverface.

Can't say I've seen grey feather/heavenly around enough that I'd consider it common, but then again I don't actually hang around in Haven all that often. :)

Seerus/Almirian. I wouldn't be surprised to hear this is common, since it's like the only thing that -really- matches the crusader armour. Even kind of better than the almirian helm does, imo. :/

This one exists purely so I can disguise myself as a miscoloured version of a guildie (who has a plumed demo helm paired with seraphic mail). Prolly another overused combo, somewhere.

I see volcanic demo+grey feather mantle around all the time, but not so many mad+grey. Which I find odd, considering how much better the mad mask matches up in the colour schemes.
