Let's get one thing straight here. Due to whitelancer's breaking of the TOS, restoring his wealth would not be an act of JUSTICE, it would be an act of MERCY. I understand that what befell whitelancer was a terrible thing, but everyone who wants his wealth returned to him is asking for something beyond a social justice. The scammers should by all means be banned, but the fact remains that the rules were broken on both ends.

Call me a heartless brute or what have you, but you are asking for more than mere justice.

sorry for your loss. I will say around the same time that Kingkholi stole your ce/cr/items he started hounding me and rommil endlessly trying to buy our twilight aura costumes and basically everything else of value we owned. Every time i logged on he'd ask me what rare accessories i had etc.
I have been scammed on 2 occasions. First time was 2k ce for part of an unbind on a 5*. I made a ticket and was told no luck they can't do it, blah blah blah. Anyhow, i made about 5 tickets (a new one every time it was denied) because fact was i'm a paying customer paying for a service. Although, even if you are not a paying customer you are a participant in a service that drives paying customers, so imo u are as good as a paying customer. If the player base was only the p2p'ers then i'd have been done long ago. Anyhow, i also shot off an email to president of the company or whoever is listed on the OOO homepage. Eventually my 2k ce was returned, and the scammer was permabanned. At a later date i was scammed for 4k (an unbind) and supported a ticket and my ce was returned immediately no hassle.

I will say one difference in my situation is that i was legitimately SCAMMED, rather than having a friend steal from my house when i let them in. Also, player trade drives some gameplay and GREATLY supports OOO (ce sinks, cr sinks) and there SHOULD by now be a way to help someone unbind gear for trade that does not involve blind trust.

Kingkohli MUST be banned. I don't care if whitelancer shared his password or not. Even if you invite your friend over when your parents forbid you from doing so, if that friend robs you blind, it's still a crime and the criminal should be justly punished.

@gronstifer, 100% agree. It would be a mercy. I mercy that i hope and think they should step up and give to whitelancer.

white if you reconsider my marriage proposal maybe I could help. I know it's probably been six months and we both hate each other but it could still work out. Like you could borrow some of my stuff too. Pretend none of this ever happened. Ed: oh and I agree with some of the other posters. Although no-one deserves to have their stuff taken through deceit, there is a reason they have a ToS and advise you to not account share. It's harsh, but I don't think OOO should or could step in.

I knew Kingkohli for about 2 months i think, yesterday i saw him in haven without a guild, he said he left on his own because people raged when he removed someone, he said he wants to go back to VK but is waiting on White to come back on, but was very nervous so i told him to relax and just tell White what happened and all will be well, later on he invited me asking me to please please please vouch for him because he is selling something so even tho i didnt know him that well i desided to do it, he was selling a gold chapeau to... i cant remember the name of the person who was supposed to buy the chapeau's but his frined was Aquillion and from what i noticed i think that Kingkohli had a gold + blue one, not sure though, the trade never happened from what i noticed, me and Aquillion were chatting so i didnt really pay attention. It might have even happened the day before yesterday my memory can trick me sometimes but im 90% sure it was yesterday ( the chapeau selling ). Im getting almost no sleep lately so i can't tell the time very well.

Sorry man, I might not have read the entire thread but do you know why King did what he did? Besides its not the end of the world, try to approach King as if he had done nothing wrong and sort this out, surely an Officer from Valkyrie Knights wouldn't have to steal things to get what they want.

People can argue that it was against ToS to give out account info, but imo Kingkholi and any alts/accounts under that IP should at least be banned so you guys aren't promoting "Its ok to steal from them if they gave me their account info".

Kingkohli's alt and its respective energy history are in my possesion. He has willingly given them to me.
5 June- a mail of 8000 ce comes in from king, a mail of 8000 ce goes out to white.
This is the ultimate proof for this, to top the rest. Most important? It's not just a screenshot- it IS logged in the servers. Therefore, OOO has proof and I, too, ask them to at least ban king, if not reverse all trades. (can I keep his alt though? :D)

I was the one who he tried selling a gold chapeau too, afterward he's given me to preview all gen 2 except for green and gold tab, but I think he did posses them. On this alt of course. He has removed them though. As well as deleting the Brotherofvanaduke character.

I saw the PM screenshot that he sent you, what a @$$. Though, what really gets me is that he tried to frame somebody else, what a dishonorable knight.

1. The message sent to White was a threat to the whole guild. Therefore even if one argues that no action should be taken because of a line in the ToS, there are still about 98 other reasons (members of VK) for OOO to take action.

2. White has had a positive impact on the community. I have never found him to be anything less than friendly and willing to help. I'm sure most people who have posted here know 99% of the time he logs off with "Have fun and play nice." He broke the ToS, yes, but if he is to be penalized, it should be a reasonable one by OOO.

3. The theft of his items is a completely different matter.
Look at for example CA. SB 1141.

"Existing law also makes it a crime to knowingly access and, without permission... execute any scheme or artifice to defraud, deceive, or extort, or wrongfully control or obtain money, property, or data."

Not once does the bill mention the method used to acquire access to such content because that is irrelevant. I know that laws change from area to area but the reasoning and logic behind them do not.

4. Eurydice has replied to the thread. It's obvious the GM's know about the situation. I know it really looks bad for kohli but let OOO act first. We don't need to reenact the witch hunts.

5. @guy: IP addresses, MAC addresses, isps, etc. There is no end to list of ways OOO can find out exactly in what city, on what street, under what roof, on which computer, at what time, by who. He/she can delete whatever he/she has access to, that won't save them if even the slightest effort is put into finding out who it is.

In a nutshell, White had to spend less time on SK, so entrusts his details to a few 'trusted' friends. One 'friend' betrays his trust, and takes most of his more treasured items, as well as abusing his power, both on his own account and White's, and trying to sell the stolen goods to White's friends. Said thief used the alias 'Brotherofvanaduke', supposedly to frame 'Brideofvanaduke' with the similar names, to steal the items as to HOPEFULLY soil the trail enough so it could not be traced to him.

Thief half-confesses when confronted, yet tries to brush it off as a joke, using Brotherofvanaduke (likely an alt) as a scapegoat.

Not a very convincing fight K's putting up.

This entire situation is all kinds of stupid. Just... It's like watching a very bad sitcom or Tuesday afternoon drama.
