Mine doesn't even have a timer on it. It patched fine on the first try but the validating part was a bit slower than usual.
New Patch, No Play
Update: Gah, whatever. I'm literally getting no progress with this.
Verifying the integrity appears to have fixed the problem, thanks!
@Vanbamf
First it seemed like that worked but then it got stuck again, this time at 16% :I
If what you said about the validating works cause i just did it right now and it's downloading OMG i hope it works its still at 76% omg plzzz work im hoping... OMG IT WORKED THANK YOU MAN THANK YOU
Does anyone know how to verify the integrity without Steam, for those who aren't using it?
I would say, uninstall, empty out the folder for spiral knights, and reinstall, hoping for the best. It will have to re-download everything again, as I had to do last week. It took me some time to do this, but at least it worked.
Do you have an 'extra.txt' file? I temporarily removed that file too, just in case, to allow proper updating. I don't think that had anything to do with it, but when I removed it, it didn't give me any errors. Coincidence?
Reinstalling the game has made no progress for me whatsoever.
@ Vanbamf:
What extra.txt file do you speak of? I do not see it.
@ Aplauses:
He's addressing an issue many people experienced, that and the fact that a certain user's been having multiple post duplications.
@rangerwill
on steam, uninstalling didn't seem to work for me, so i emptied the folder as well. Interpret however you will.
When did this thread get this many posts?
Good Lord, I can't be away from this game for more than 8 hours now without another major rage-inducing issue arising.
Well, I needn't repeat what other of the same problems people have had and rage a post about it. I don't use steam, so I wouldn't know how to otherwise verify integrity... If someones finds out how to do so please post here!
This isn't even a major update anyway, all anybody wants is to play the actual game again, they probably wouldn't give two cents about seeing all the parties in FSC, which they could have seen a majority of them anyway by their social tab. All of this utter crap for a PARTY FINDER. What has this game come to...
@midnight
it's an optional file for tweaking the java settings. can help in making the game run smoother, use more ram, etc. Don't worry if you don't have it.
@ Vanbamf
I have heard nothing of this file at all until now.

Thats the whole thread where the idea started, then developers implemented it.
@ Juances
Oh alright, thanks for the link.
FINNALY :DDDDDD
no more table rage guys im done with that :P
I got it. I think? It validated and loaded. Yep I hear the login jingle in the background. They must've fixed it. Thanks OOO
See you at the Haven!
A friend of mine was having issues, i suggested that she verify integrity of game cache in steam. That worked instantly for her.
In steam, right click on spiral knights, properties, local files, verify integrity of game cache.
This happened to me last week, had to delete everything from my computer that was SK related and reinstall. Eventually it went through with the download. This week, no problems with the update (maybe because I deleted all the garbage files last week).
hope this was helpful for somebody
