Spiral Knights
I realize that this is a subject that has been talked about in the past and the idea of Playable Gremlins is Unoriginal, However it has not been spoken of recently and I will try to put in more detail than my predecessors.
I have Two Potential ideas at this time.
(1).Playable gremlins will be enemies of the Spiral Knights an will try to get to each Elevator to go up in an attempt to Get to Haven. The Gremlins would start near the core at some sort of Gremlin Base that would include merchants and their own Auction House and they would go up throughout the clockworks until they reach their destination. Instead of monsters the gremlins would fight NPC Knights who would wear specialized gear and use specialized weapons that would be equivalent to what type of monster they would be replacing along with maybe Emberlight Gremlins to replace regular Gremlins. Gremlins would all go through mostly the same boss locations as the Knights except all the locations would be occupied by knights and some sort of boss.Eventually they'd make it to rescue camp and eliminate all the knights there Explaining why you'd never be able to come back. afterwards they'd head though the area of clockworks you have to go to to reach haven.Once their, they would Be stopped at the entrance by barricades and heavily armed and armored knights and maybe actual players firing on them.
(2) This Idea is that the Playable Gremlins could be from Emberlight and therefore be allied with the Knights and but have their own missions like a rebellion against the Crimson Order and King Tinkinzar. they would start at emberlight and work their way down until they reached the great colony and overthrew the king. EDIT: i think that rebel gremlins should use similar but not exact gear compared to that of Colony gremlin gear the story line for them could start by contacting the spiral knights to inform them of their intentions and ask for support.
Ideas on Gear
I think Gremlins should have their own Weapons and armor so that they don't share the same stuff as knights making it all more fresh so that players could have more fun and see more of a difference when playing as a gremlin. they could also have it so they have more powerful weapons and better armor than knights except have it so their gear can't do special damage or have protection from special damage like piercing or elemental. to compensate they would maybe have a larger party size.
This is no better than any of the past threads for the exact same concept nor does it offer anything new.
