Hey I'm Darkemo, or dark for short, and if you have any question you would like answering then i would be more than happy to answer them. If you are scared of asking an obvious question then don't be shy, go ahead and ask me, because i won't criticise you!
Dark~
**Ask Dark**
How old are you?
What is the meaning of life?
Is there a god? Or gods?
When will there be an apartment in the market that I can afford to buy and won't feel getting ripped off buying it?
...oh god
you just opened the door to so much trolling
Let me give you some advice. People do not like people who start condescending-sounding threads which claim to give advice. They especially dislike it if you claim to be a 'pro' in the process of making said threads. They especially, especially will pick holes if you use bad grammar or spelling.
Take my advice and let the newbies post their threads. Then answer their questions. You're going to save yourself so much hassle.
Legit question:
How much DPS does a vanilla WHB do to a Layoafer If I use a SC and DV with a SSB on d15 without trinkets while poisoned?
@Little-Juances: Heated or unheated?
I will spam the gate with Dark Matter so I can find out for you.
(If anyone complains about a Fiend stratum, tough cookies.)
Also, a note: people don't commonly use those abbreviations for the armor and helmet. :B
Oh wait, I do have a question.
Should it be 'Rabid Snarbolaxes' or 'Rabid Snarbolii'?
The former is more common, but it just seems so... terribly awkward.
Oh, no, there's another trick to my question you're missing wich is plain silly.
...you said d15, not d13 or d18.
o 3o;
Don't be mean guys, this guy really is a pro. His qualifications are all in this post.
While poisoned. Layofers.
Althought it's easy to solve.....
Layoafers aren't the poison variety of devilite.
I'm still missing something here.
@Aurete It was you who put in all the fiend stratums!!! I went through a gate that had at least 5 of them the other day!!! It was extremely repetitive and annoying!!!
You can blame Little-Juances for the Dark Matter dump. >.>
(...actually, that one was probably mainly Rawr tbh.)
Thanks to demonicsothe for trying to back me up, and btw if you want an idea at my experience look at my application for advent children and it tells u all my gear and stuff (this is on forums). Sorry I haven't been on the forums to check ur posts i will more often now
@aeiouy why do u think im new here?
@fallconn haha u rly think I'm emo -_-
@evilnut some of those questions are private...
Dark~
Your internet sarcasm detector must be broken. In that post you said that being on fire raises your CTR. It does nothing of the sort. Fire ticks set your charges back while making the time to regain lost charge faster. It does NOT make the overall charge shorter. Demonics was not backing you up.
I also have a question. What is the best weapon for interrupting giant lichen colonies?
Hi I'm really new at this game. Was wondering.. I hear talk about ''secret rooms'' from some people. Are there really secret rooms? Are there any that no players have found yet? Any places left unexplored in this game? I know its a strange question sorry
@oatmonster: ok if your question was serious the answer would probably have to be a leviathan blade because if its knock back, if you spam Levi charges between the lichens they won't get near each other.
@eminee: hey, thanks for asking something normal, anyway a lot of people used to tell me there were secret rooms ( before I had the ability to solo vanaduke :P)...and I totally believed them so half the time I would run off and try and find a secret room and them they would ditch me. BUT in some levels there are things called danger rooms where you pay 5ce or mist to enter and it is basically like another arena. There is also something called a shadow lair or SL for short and it is a harder version of each boss run e.g. Vanaduke ---> dark fire vanaduke, jelly queen ---> ice queen and so on... Anyway I hope that helped and if you have any more questions feel free to ask them ^^
@Eminee: As Dark says, there are Danger Rooms in some levels of Clockworks. However, these may only be found in the Arcade, not in missions, and they're not much of a secret... or, at least, not before the Missions update got implemented. :U
There is a treasure room in RJP and its Shadow Lair variant, too, although that is hardly a secret.
There are also, as he says, Shadow Lairs, which cost an exorbitant amount of CE to access, but those too are hardly a secret.
Additionally, Stone Grove in the Aurora Isles series of maps has a secret key which may be used to unlock a room and access the treasure within. In order to get at this one, you need to hit a switch hidden in a stone block. (Bring a gun.)
In Graveyard levels, a secret room may sometimes be generated. It won't be immediately obvious from the perspective of your knight, since it will be hidden behind walls of another, more obvious room. However, you will be able to see the narrow passage if you look carefully at your minimap.
Finally, in the Operation Crimson Hammer, there is a secret room in one of the levels (the last, I believe) which is concealed by shadowfire. One must use the little globs of water in the prisoners' cells to put out the fire and get to the treasure within. This also shows up as a narrow passage on the minimap, but it's still easy to miss.
@Darkemo: ooh ooh I just remembered I have an actual question
How am I supposed to access that room in Jelly Farm? It is not available by opening an Energy Gate. There is always, no matter what I do, one Party Button out of reach when I finish the level. It is taunting me. I have tried all obvious paths; I would have said it is hidden, but it's not. Just apparently inaccessible.
@aureate hey well to be honest I don't really play clock work levels that often but I will try and answer your question. So maybe there is a hidden switch somewhere not obvious and as you said in your previous post maybe you will need to bring a gun with. Sometimes there may be a hidden key somewhere that allows you to unlock another gate leading to another path towards it. Maybe you will need to do the level in a certain order or choose a different path like in FSC depth 26 there is a choice to go left or right and everyone always goes left because it is the easier way. This may be the case in the jelly farm. I hope this helps ;)
@Dark: I suspect that may be the case, but I have tried obliterating absolutely everything I could see, unlocking every visible energy gate, and still got no luck.
Maybe it's just a redundant part of the level that got sectioned off or something. Or maybe there's a ghost ghost block I'm missing. :U
I was just hoping you might know... although I think that Jelly Farm does feature in the Skies Under Cradle mission. It's one of the earlier ones (2-1), though, so it isn't really one you'd repeat.
@aureate hey I'm sorry I couldn't answer ur question properly but maybe OOO have taken out that part of the level and didn't realise it was still visible to players XP. Maybe its just there to taunt players into re-doing the level and wasting their ce/mist energy and being forced (eventually) to buy more, but that is a bit of an extreme theory...anyway if you have any other questions feel free to ask ;)
You can't access that room without using secret GM voodoo. It used to be a danger room back in beta or so that contained the Jolly Green Jelly, but they blocked it off because he was ripping new players apart.
@Dark, What I meant was what is the best weapon for interrupting the giant colony's attacks.
@Aureate, That area was part of the old "haven gates" but was taken out because the jelly green giants were considered too difficult for newer players. Some guildies and I actuall tried to get into that area using the old spawn through walls glitch. The one that people used to get into that small corner of haven when the enterance was expanded.
@oat, interesting question you got there I still think the leviathan blade because of its knock back and the lichen will not touch you if you keep spamming safe Levi charges, therefore you will no longer need to be worried about interrupting giant lichen colonie attacks. I hope that helped ;)
It still attacks, all that does is move the giant snot away from you.
Possibly into your allies.
Possibly into enemy butterflies/medics.
I could be wrong, but from my extensive experience using Gran Faust it excels at interrupting those sentient snot blobs. Then again, it was my first and only 5* weapon for about a month which I used almost exclusively way back when. Everyone else grabbed D.Avenger early on, I went for G.Faust. What the liquids.
As for the blocked off area of that one floor with the giant green jelly, there is currently no way to get in there because it was too difficult for new players to defeat. That kind of difficult content should be reimplemented in upper tier versions of the floor rather than repeating the same map layout throughout tiers which currently happens to reintroduce the miniboss-esque enemy while creating another incentive to play through the Arcade. Punks.
Where is ''Hall of Heroes'' ? I am searching all around Haven and cant find it
@eminee well the hall of heroes or HoH for short appears in the missions: 4-1 HoH sells 2* gear, 5-2 HoH sells 3* gear, 6-2 HoH sells you 4* gear and the mission 8-2 hall of heroes sells you 5* gear. When you go to each hall of heroes with the appropriate star gear then you will receive prestige, but only the first time round. For more info on the hall of heroes check out this link------------->>> http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Hall_of_heroes
Going back to the conversation of secret rooms, y'all seem to have forgotten the hidden ghost block at the end of D27 Smoldering Steps in FSC that only spawns if you hit the switch hidden under the crate and surrounded by shadow fire at the beginning of that depth.
@ubernerd haha I remember that, wow i can't believe I forgot that ghost block! It seems to be the most obvious "secret room" in the clockworks/missions, thanks for reminding us uber!
That's probably the worst kept secret ever. I think everyone does that one these days.
...although it's marginally more secret than Shadow Lairs are, I admit.
(Danger Rooms are more secret than hidden FSC treasure room since nobody ever seems to do Clockworks any more.)
@aureate good point you have there but I'm sure if you asked 100 knights if they knew what danger rooms were and what the hidden treasure room in FSC was there would be a higher ratio/percentage of people knowing what the former was rather than the latter because knowing what a danger room is, is like SK general knowledge. (especially if you asked people who are newer to the game) SLs are no longer secrets and I don't think they were even from the beginning :P
@Dark-Flare the dark-flare turned into a raging flame and the Darkemo was created. XP
@fallconn dude I'm not an emo XD it was a bad username choice hehe
QUESTION OF THE DAY! QOTD is an abbreviation that will use...
Hey everyone from now on every now and then I will ask a couple of questions and you have to give your opinion. Today the question is WHAT IS HARDER, RJP WITH PIERCING ONLY?(full run) OR THE GAUNTLET?(final level only/arena)
Let me know what you think?
I forgot to say that I will try and arrange an RJP run and a Gauntlet run with a few of the people who vote (I will pick randomly) and the person who dies the least amount of times will receive a prize and if nobody dies I will decide who did the best. So give me your opinion.
Dark~
I'd say the Gauntlet, because pierce only RJP runs are just annoyingly long, not hard.
I guess your right but the jellies have reasonably fast attacks which means they could attack you in the middle of a blitz charge or whilst reloading your blitz...but I can't decide ;)
Thanks for answering anyway
@fallconn haha IM NOT :P can u answer the question of the day pls?
RJP is easier hands down.
> ohai giant purple jelly, meet my blight needle
> wave goodbye to your healing minions
I would find the Gauntlet to be more amusing, though. Pearl Greavers are always funny.
The only type of Greavers that are better are the Beryl ones... I am a sadomasochist.
@aureate good thinking, the blight needle will destroy the JK (wouldn't it be fun to do it with furious flamberge :3). We should do a run sometime, send me an IG request, or I will and we can do a run sometime, my IGN is Darkemo (@fallconn not Emo:3)
Falcons Are puny, Like I say before, Never listen to something an emo says.
/sigh whatever you say fallconn you are the best and most awesome person in teh entire world :3 oh wait, never listen to something an emo says ;)
@fallconn u just been owned ;)
Any one else want to answer the question? WHICH IS HARDER, RJP FULL RUN WITH ONLY PIERCING WEAPONS, OR THE GAUNTLET FINAL LEVEL ONLY?
Are you new here?
You must be new here.
