Thank you all so much for your participation in this contest; it's been a joy. We've had 109 entries to the contest, split between 60 unique entrants, and I know you guys worked really hard on your entries. Now comes the hard part for me: the judging. I've actually given myself only a few days to do this, so I'm going to be hitting the fan fiction hard (it's going to take the longest) over the weekend.
By the time you're done reading this, I should have the final mini-contest up on the front page. Awards for it and the full-thread random poster drawings will be presented at the Award Ceremony with the contest prizes, although, like the contest prizes, the recipient will receive their prize via in-game mail if they should be unable to attend. I'm going to attempt to get the results of this last week of games and mini contests up tonight, but I can't promise anything; it may be tomorrow.
Keep watching this space for announcements, updates, and your Community Choice/Artist's Choice ballots. I'll be letting you all know when it's time to edit your prize lists for the last time, when voting begins and ends, the final time/date for the awards ceremony, and, eventually, the final list of winners. Feel free to stick around and chat as well.
Again, it's been a pleasure holding this contest. The creativity you've all shown has been astounding, and it's wonderful to see how good everyone has been to each other throughout: over the course of our entire four month run together, I haven't had to do more than shake a semi-comical finger at anyone for misbehaving. @Shadownox: I think Zenmaiser's knight is wearing the Phantom Mask from Dark Harvest.
@Everyone else: I'm going to change the schedule up a little bit ... I've actually deliberated doing this for most of the run of the contest, and finally decided last night while talking it over with Sol. I'm going to delay putting up the Community Choice and Artist's Choice ballots for a bit, since any one entry can only win one prize. See, depending on the participation level in voting, if most of the votes end up going to a piece that's already getting a larger prize, I may or may not have enough votes agreeing on another piece to award it to the next-highest. So I'm going to put the ballots up after I'm done judging, leaving out the entries already receiving a higher or equal prize than the Choice awards. It takes away some of the surprise, but make sure that everyone gets the biggest prize they can.
... I'm a little sad it's over too. We've been at this for a third of a year now. I'll keep the thread open until after the prize announcements post-Ceremony, then quietly let it drift off as people stop posting. I'll keep a link to it handy so that people can easily come back and visit all of the entries in the future, though, as I'll be setting up a thread with all of my stuff and taking commissions after the first of the year.
EDIT (since y'all posted while I was typing this): You're very welcome! I'm glad everyone seems to have enjoyed it. I hope to make this a yearly thing, even if all of them aren't quite as big as this one. Future ones may have themes or something.

This contest was really fun. And I learnt how to use SAI (on a mac though, because I go to the same school as our resident papaya). And to use forums better? Yay for bad grammar which I'm really too lazy to correct because I'm tired and should probably go to sleep soon. And how to do lineart in SAI. And how to type in those colour codes or whatever they're called and what they mean. And I've seen all this epic art and read all these epic stories and talked (?) to a bunch of new people. And learnt new techniques and styles of art.
A pretty good, long, solid list.
...hehehe...and those future contests sound rather appetizing, especially the idea of themed ones...
