For god sakes forget these crappy promo's and focus on making the game better. I'm really getting sick of Promo releases OVER Content releases. Yea I know your a business and all but having the same promo every three weeks is starting to make me mad. New boss ever? How about guild updates? What about buffing Iron slug? Call me a crybaby but I think after seeing this blatant cash grab you should be mad too.
Their focus is to keep milking us for what we got, while lying right to our face and telling us all these great things are on the way but still no where to be found. Why hasn't the Tortodrone made a debut yet. Are you capable of coming thru on one promise at all. This game could have become extremely popular but your focus is too much on the $$$ and not about making the game better.
If someone asked me how much I think the game has evolved since it debuted I would tell them 1%. This game hasn't improved like I hoped it would. When I first played this I was like wow this game could go places. Since then I have been disappointed time after time and somehow I keep soldiering on. Why because that first feeling hasn't left me. This game could still go places but will forever be stuck with the same stuff that is already there. God forbid if haven ever add some new areas. GOD forbid if a new boss F2p comes out. God forbid Gunners and Bombers ever get gear worth using. God forbid The CORE ever comes out that just might kill you guys right?
Only thing they get props for is danger missions nice add but like I said still not enough. Sounds like hate but it's not, it's because I love it and I hate seeing where its headed. I'm sick of seeing people quit and always running across the same 20 people in haven. Here is a major tip 000 if your main focus is so much on cash then make the game better and then watch how much money you will make. Focus on the game and the money will come, it really is that simple.

Firstly, they've just done several major things-2 danger missions, crystal bomb change(though disliked).
The economy is getting worse, and they're trying to sort it out.
1% for how much it's evolved? expansion missions with new monsters, danger missions, new danger rooms, missions. and that's only the stuff I've seen after I started.
They're redesigning the guild hall. I don't think some people realise hpw much work goes into programming stuff, making the sprites, et cetera.
Stop complaining. The stuff will come sooner or later

And no one mentions

about the broken interface of the CE market? Seriously, make an interface that shows all the bid and ask prices in a graphical form (Quantity demanded vs Price). This way people know exactly where the norms are in both the bid and ask markets, and can adjust their pricing accordingly. By showing top 5 bids and asks, it's too easy fall to price manipulation because people can't see what is beyond the top 5.

I like graphs

I'd like graphs to see how the ce market is going

I have no problem with the promos. they were working on big updates but people wanted little updates more frequently. now that they have done a number of updates with the danger missions, they are releasing a promo to get more capital to put into the big guild updates and such. Just hold your horses and let them have the promos. If your not pay to play you can't complain about promos. c:

I just wish we could see the promo items in better detail than just one picture.

This goes for those who've been around since release, the frustration sucks. So much potential but like most games nowadays is about milking the cow. Nothing wrong with that, but its how you do it. A lil late for the 'new danger rooms', 'new missions', 'new GUI' because most of the loyal players who actually splurged cash and were really into this game are fed up. The fun arcade is now dead, running around haven mostly revolves around the Auction House and there were quite the number of people, we actually had a ton of beggers! Back then SK had so much promise and potential, now its all about the promo's. Its better to fill the game with better contents, bosses, balances before you even open up the core. I think it'd be worse if they opened up the core while all this reskinned promo's are being shoved to the players without any exciting game experienced base, free ass kicking contents. SK still has a lot of potential, but they need to come up with a different approach, show some love and provide better contents for everyone to enjoy. Its the experience which creates loyal consumers, not mindless promotion just to make a quick buck. Heck, Blizzard screwed up really bad on player base. Yes, they made money on the initial release but now its down hill with everyone quitting due to the lack of content. Despite the money making RMAH, if the player pool diminishes who's gonna be using the RMAH? I'm actually surprised that SK still has active players with all these new games coming out, which seems like there's still a tinge of hope. I've been playing since release and with this new promo with shiny hyped up reskins I don't feel like chipping in for once. I'm quite happy with the new danger missions and all, its a positive update, but please try to keep it up, or you're just digging your own grave like other games who've done the same thing.

One thing you guys don't understand is that OOO is not doing this:
"Hmm.. we told them we'll release content... NAH LET'S MAKE A PROMO"
Instead, they are doing this:
"Hmm.. this content is taking a bit to finish and polish to make it the best for the players... it won't take us long, so we might as well work on a promo on the side when we're taking a break from the main content"

If you don't understand that and still claim OOO is working ONLY on promos, and INSTEAD of main content, focusing on them, rather than promos being something on the side, you might as well quit. You is used in plural.

@Hollafamer
I feel the exact same way, I can remember the day i downloaded this game like it was yesterday, home sick, bored not feeling up for TF2, Call of duty or whatever i played back then, find the newly released spiral knights and decide to give it a try, I was mystified, the perfect game with so much potential (or so i thought) and best of all it was completely F2P. I stayed up all night playing, I loved everything about it, the combat, the atmosphere and most of all the art. For such a small team content was bursting at the seams: Snarbolax, RT and PVP all in the same summer, servers were full, and people were buying CE. But now what have we received since then? The completely free to play model is out the window with OCH, obscenely priced Shadow Lairs are not at all affordable for a majority of players, but at least that was content. Now all we get is promos, more and more accessories to slap on and a sea of CE to drown ourselves in but nothing to spend it on. And after this drought of no content we finally get the danger missions, which should not have taken nearly as long as they did to make, they are just normal graveyard/clockworks runs with 1 or 2 new enemies thrown in, with the exception being Heart of Ice, it seems some amount of creativity went into that one. BUT WAIT, each mission is tailored to a specific unpopular armor set! I see the same elitist people dressed up in their $500+ accessories just sitting in front of the AH every day. Things have changed, and i fear (100% sure) things aren't going back to the way they were.

@ Dorael

Promos have been having less and less effect lately, you know why? There's NOTHING to spend all this energy on anymore. It just gets passed around, people don't have any reason to buy it.

@ Warriorrogue
How is rendering the #1 crown-sink useless trying to sort out the economy? We realize how much time and work it takes to make all this stuff, but if you've been playing as long as me you will remember how often they pumped out content, and how so many more people played this. It used to be a steady stream of content with the rare promotion, now there is ALWAYS a promo going on with some mediocre content sprinkled on top every few months. All the effort is going into creating the accessories (which have lost all creativity).

Changing a handful of colors

Changing a handful of colors on a palette is now called work. No, I'm not asking for new content atm since we got danger missions even though that would be pretty nice. I'm just tired of the constant promos with items with a simple palette change being called new items.. what is even more disturbing is that people actually eat this up and throw money at their computer screens for it. I'm guilty of it also, last 2 promos I think I've bought one or two boxes to try to get an item for a friend but that was about it.

I wonder how many players we have around that act like Chris.. how many Shadow Wing promo packs did he buy to get those 3 or 4 shadow wings? I'm really curious how much money Three Rings does pull in with the reskin promos.

I've been playing since Beta, and all I can say is that I miss April 2011 and such, before the AH, before missions, before these promos, and when everyone was in the Arcade. It's been long enough for a new boss. There's ton of suggestions for them, some of which are great. Al I hope is that I don't have to wait another year and a half for another T3 boss.

Back when the game was fun, didn't piss me off, and the elitism was due to actual skill and not how much money you could spend on the game. Judging by the amount of threads of people quitting, accessories aren't enough, OOO needs to learn that content is what will get people to play the game and stay. "Hey you should try out Spiral Knights! Is there a lot to do? Well... Uh.. You can make your knight look really cool, if you pay hundreds of dollars" isn't the best sales pitch. Sitting in haven looking pretty isn't everyone's thing.

A new boss you say?

A new boss you say?
More content you say?
New stuff you say?

They've at least released some fresh stuff... ok? I give them that. Promos have given us time to just sit and wait.

While no, not everything is perfect/new/shiny, that's where we gotta come in and say "gotta recharge my mist" and sit back awhile. If OOO had more people, I'm sure we'd see tons of new stuff coming out like clockwork (I'm using a hail driver today, which means playing on words is going to happen). However, all the new, awesome stuff we want to see needs time to craft. They still have to fill 7 positions (The Whisper has now taken one) of the Crimson Order, they STILL have tons of releasing and awesomeness to give. Getting a new boss would be awesome... but they'll have to add some flooring/elevator to the arcade to do it to maintain the one gate, one boss strategy. Ever use spiral spy? I still have trouble just getting floor tiles in. Let alone coming up with scripts and other technical stuff that makes the stuff interactive which I can't do. OK?

Promo releases just keep some cash in their wallets until the next content update. S'all it is. While granted the above boss is P2P... it's a new boss, that they released with 5 wonderful floors of awesomeness. It took them a long time to add snarby right? What about RT? What about the RJP we see today? All those took time, heck even making vana took time. All of this content that we love, takes time to make, debug (for the most part), and make to where we can enjoy it. I've seen horribad level design, and while OOO is not the best company at designing, they sure as heck don't make this.

Disclaimer: Above content may contain some (extremely hilarious) vulgar language, whether or not you follow the link is your fault.

Excuse me, it's a promo release BEHIND/ALONG SIDE a content release.

I guess Maulos doesn't count enough as a boss for you, huh. Well, I guess it's more of a mini boss. The ice danger mission is like a mini ice-vana run, with fiends everywhere.

Maybe I'm more sympathetic towards OOO since I've recently gotten on the development side of games and actually see/live the process of game development, but players are so blind.

Their current focus is on making danger/prestige missions content. It has been, since the mission system came out. The bomb change has been an ongoing thing they've been working alongside the danger missions. It's only been released because it's been "finished" by this time. There's been word that Tortodrone is still being tweaked (just watch : it's going to be in a danger mission, just like the rest of the new content - oh, did I say new content? Yes, danger missions are the 'new content', love or hate it), and you know when it's going to come out? When they finish it. Sure, they're a small team (so I hear), but they can still do multiple things at the same time. Say you're an artist and the rest of the dev team is making a beast-themed level - after you've gone and made a few small tweaks/specific areas, you can reuse existing graphics and you're done. But the rest of the team isn't done, so while you're not doing anything, you can get assigned to chalk up some premium armors to make on the side.

But then you get pissy blind players complaining that suddenly because you've finished that relatively smaller task and they've announced it, that the somehow the whole team spent its focus making armor. That's a completely uneducated assumption.

Think about this:
When they created the new danger missions (after Legend Of Almire), what was involved in that?
- Some new art
- Some new randomly-generated level layouts
- Some specifically-designed level layouts
- Some new enemies
- Maulos, the mini(?) boss.
That, among probably some other things I've overlooked.

That's some work for art, more work/testing/tweaking for level design, and some programming new behaviors for the new enemies. They'll probably release a danger mission when those parts are done, but what do you think happens when they're done programming enemy behaviors? They'll tweak and test, but aside from that, they can um, I don't know, be working on other features like weapon mechanics or the new guild system? Maybe another danger mission?

Then the release comes and they'll go into bugfix/hotfix mode for a bit, then get back to work on the other upcoming features.

...But that kinda thing is invisible to players. All we see is "hey, update happened", "hey, btw, here's a promo", and some of you guys are just like "omg they're not working on anything else!!!!11!"

What do you expect? Want them to throw up something unfinished as proof they're working? That's sloppy.

Just watch: we won't see a new set of story/campaign missions until -wait for it- a whole set of missions are complete. If, theoretically, they made a post-vanaduke t3 boss level set, we won't ever see it until they've finished making the 6+ story missions that lead up to it. Until then, we won't see anything about it. This is going to be due to the whole focus on story instead of the more un-focused Arcade game where we'd "randomly" run into boss tiers. No more of a "hey, here's a sneak preview of the new boss, since we just made a new boss tier" - it's going to be integrated with the Missions.

Anyway, my favorite is the 'cash grab' claim. Get this though,
Just because you make a hook for cash doesn't mean it will be successful. If they want to make money, they have to make content that people want to pay for - AKA: Content that makes player happy.

I've played Spiral Knights on-and-off since April 2011 and I'm pretty much end-game and have never spent money on the game. Now that I have a full-time job, I kinda want to spend some money as a 'thanks for the good times', but there's no real push for me to do it other than charity, and I'm still too selfish for that. I don't really need CE except to maintain my trinket slots and maybe vanity craft once in a while. I've lived without OCH.

I WANT 3 rings to want to make money, because the best way for that to happen is to make content that makes players WANT to spend money.

Remember the whole shadow key thing? Elite-level content with a high CE entry point. Yeah, that wasn't successful.
Now, we're getting FREE danger missions.

Lockboxes? The last time that CE-key-and-box thing happened was mirrored lockboxes - players usually spend cash to be able to customize and express themselves uniquely (and that's why promos tend to have this gambling aspect of chance with them - to take advantage of the narcissistic rich people - remember how CE prices dipped a little with the Sun boxes? Those things looked cool), but watch this:
Look at the last two promos with boxes. Did you need to have a key to open them? NOPE.

I don't completely agree with the direction the game is going (I really don't like the chokehold that missions are putting on the game, but I don't see it ever being Arcade-centered anymore - but the prestige/danger missions are like mini throwback to those times), but at the very least, I have an idea of the direction and a kind of feel for the timing.

While I agree that they are working on real content, and that it takes a lot of work to create new content, you can't deny the severe decrease in the rate of which said content is being made.

Tenkii's picture
Tenkii
@grandtheftgnome

I can't speak for the rate that the content is being made, but I am convinced that due to the mission system, there's going to be a huge slowdown in the rate the desirable content will be released.

It's probably buried in my terrible wall of text, but I'll write it out again:

Remember when Snarbolax and RT were being introduced, they hyped us with sneak peeks, and we were basically getting a new boss every month?

That's not going to happen for any tier 3 boss content any time soon unless it is either
a) Premium content (like OCH)
b) Danger Mission/Prestige mission content.

We probably won't have a regular t3 boss any time soon because it will pretty much have to be tied into the campaign, and that means that not only the Boss levels but a whole set of other story missions have to be made so they can release the whole package at once.

:/

Anyway, I'm bringing this off-topic - I have many misgivings towards the mission system lol.

@Seiran
Great to hear someone with a different perspective since you know what the development process is like. However I don't think that is an excuse for while updates are so slow. I seen games do CONTENT updates monthly and some even weekly. I took game design classes as well as Cad, and Animation. I know how time consuming it all can be. I'm not oblivious to that fact but over a year lets look at what was added. Shadow lairs/Och/ Snarby/ Roarmulus/Missions/Danger missions. Shadow lairs was basically a reskin with added difficultly for what was already created. OCH was paid to play lets not even count this one. Missions was a reskin of what was already there with some content. Danger missions are the only three really new content adds since Roarmulus was released. I think Roarmulus was released in November tho I cant be sure, but you are looking at 7/8 months between then. Does it really take that long to make something for a game you tell me. You look me in the Eye and tell me That we are just brimming with NEW* content. Their is a reason why the majority of the players are crying over no new content(myself included) it because we can see the game for what it is. The fact remains there is no meat on this bone.

"Remember the whole shadow key thing? Elite-level content with a high CE entry point. Yeah, that wasn't successful.

"I'm really getting sick of

"I'm really getting sick of Promo releases OVER Content releases. "

There have been content releases, there was one not 2 days that changed the Crystal bombs and added 4 bomb lines to the game. There may be a ton of butthurt about the change but nobody can argue that it was a content release with the new bomb lines. Also a danger mission released not even 10 days ago.

OOO is a business, they need to make money. No money coming in means no game. Promos make money. Just looking at the items in the promo I can tell you it probably only took one member of the dev team to create it. Most of the items are reskinned versions of other items already in the game. I have not seen the Leaf Aura yet, but if it is what I think it is than most likely it's a reskinned Love Aura. None of the items probably took a lot of time for the dev in question to make, and they make people happy and sell CE.

Personally, I do not like this promo that much. Honestly I think the coloring for most of the items looks like snot (quite literally). I like the round shades (which look amazing), the glasses, and possibly a couple other items out of it... not sure, I haven't seen them all. But people WILL buy it just because it is a promo. Some will want the items for themselves, some will just want them to sell. But people will buy it and fund OOO, which will keep more content coming.

Actually Gwen, the Leafy

Actually Gwen, the Leafy Aura's a reskinned Sprinkle Aura combined with the fluttery effect from the Love Aura. Which for some reason or another, people have taken to mean that it's as expensive as the Sprinkle Aura, which is hilariously pathetic in itself. But yeah, close enough.

That being said, this promo's probably not one I'm gonna be actively participating in. You all have fun with your boxes~

Tenkii's picture
Tenkii
@Hollafarmer

I was inactive between August 2011-around late January 2012 so I don't know what the releases were all like for that. I don't feel like going through the announcement history again. I did it once before and noticed they had a pattern of creating content for newer players first and older players last.

If you wanna ignore OCH, feel free to remove a month or so from your calculations as well. While I haven't played it, they did create new enemies, weapons, and levels and art for that.

They had phases where focus was obviously more tilted towards certain other things - they basically made whole other games with Blast Network and Lockdown, then monster/weapon rebalancing, which is kind of like polishing up the existing content. Performance tweaks too.

The mission system marks a huge turning point in the game's focus though. They redid the UI quite a bit, changed/added more in-game cutscenes, made the new rescue camp [which were actually really respectable new levels/art and stuff! I'd want that stuff in tier 3!] and character creation - since getting new players into the game is really important. A lot of that new content is overlooked by older players because honestly, it's not something we really get to see, and if we do, not really more than once lol.

Existing players don't count that stuff because we're either above it (see: rescue camp) or not interested (see: everyone but the <200 people playing lockdown at a time ;_;)

When players want content, it's usually in the form of levels and enemies and gear, because those are the things that are most important to us. But creating and making sure new systems (missions, or heck, the shard bombs, guild system, etc) aren't broken can take at least a month, and they aren't the most obvious. Until those huge, silent beasts are tamed, we'll see smaller updates or armor promos instead. Once systems are set into place, content can be made much faster. They got the danger mission system all set up with Legions of Almire, and look how quickly they've gotten the two other danger missions out.

But anyway, yeah, if you want to completely ignore the lower level content, it will seem slow.

Oh, and F2P games? They exist to make money, either through ads or lots of microtransactions (selling little things for real money). Guess which model SK is following?

The reason I brought up the Shadow Lair thing is this: if we look at the high-CE shadow keys as their attempt at getting higher level players to buy and sink CE into getting access to 1337 missions, it didn't work too well. They probably learned from it and now, the new higher-level stuff is more accessible. That was one of the first things the devs straight up clarified when they announced danger missions - there would be no special CE cost to get into danger missions. They want to make money, but if something won't work, they won't continue the pattern.

OCH was probably supposed to be like CE in the sense that you can only get it if someone down the line paid real money, but you could 'trade' for it in-game. Due to the game being integrated into Steam, they kinda hit a roadblock that kept them from doing that, but last I heard, they were working on trying to get it more accessible as well.

@promos:
I have friends that won't buy CE unless there's a good promo. The really savvy buyers know to wait for deals before spending money. That's why CE prices drop after more successful updates/promos - because people feel like they're getting a good value by buying, then decide they want to sell their CE for crowns.

Eh, even new levels might not

Eh, even new levels might not even do it. It's not just gameplay content, it's a matter of the core of the gameplay itself. Part of spiral's design it seems is to make other people lose intentionally and make them shell out cash even though they know they will lose. People do this willingly too. Mere aesthetic changes just shouldn't be the focus of what a game is about. It's only caring about the sum of its parts. I don't mean to sound personal, but I just don't think the gameplay would come near the level of games like Shadow of Colossus, Ico, Sly Cooper, Prince of Persia, Shinobi, Bujingai, Hitman, Katamari, Cookies n Cream, Contra, Klonoa, Rolling Thunder, Gun Nac, Nights, Panzer Dragoon, Winback, Metal Storm, Alone in the Dark, The Longest Journey and the list goes on forever, even though those are offline games.

My friend and I grew up looking for titles that just stand out above the rest either because of its interesting design and/or multiplayer fun, providing it doesn't punish the players, but don't get any recognition for it(and more likely didn't profit as much as other companies), these are just either obscure games.

But it's like this, game savvy people spent money on games that aren't just another overhyped popular game. But neither do they spend money on sequels or updates that barely change anything from the original, nor add to their original design or change it completely where it becomes another cookie cutter game like the Prince of Persia sequels. Who's heard of a game where you can reverse time? The sequels just ended up being another hack and slash game, and yes, we do stop buying sequels after we know it will head that direction and end up being more of the same. The acrobats and wall running have all been done in a game like Shinobi before(and arguably in NES games), but not the level design focus on using them I believe. Just like the disarm move that's been added to Hitman that's been done in Perfect Dark, but was so non-essential or controls sloppy, that it doesn't make any impact us in any way. Spiral Knights is not without its original content either(using gambles and luck to a higher level from say rpgs and a market hub or other options like arcade and missions to break the continuity of well arcade/missions and boss battles, but hanging around the havens get tiring as well, sometimes because you came back from missions, or sometimes there isn't anything else to get). But it seems that the market system ruins and sometimes updates such as those bombs ruins the game for a lot of people, because some of them seemed to be designed with bad intentions against several players and that we have to live with it. Just check out the unbind costs and the difficulty for some people to get stuff as good as the average big business to get quick grand sales either because their knight is set to not get great UVs or accessories at a quicker rate or because they don't have the funds to do so. It's not like they're begging from richer people to give them free stuff either for making profits from having complete information beforehand, but they don't seem to like them having good luck either. Those UV crafters, mat sellers, and Vana/arena farmers really profited big time from Steam players coming in when it was introduced(and it was only 2 months after the beta; why give them such a privilege? We're as much supporters of the game as they are and vets too, but we never get new players like they did and made like thousands of ce easily; and prices for top UV gear were more or less the same or cheaper because of weak price signals). The average person loses out, even if they paid a good deal of money. People are just profiting from people's unintentional mistakes or loss where they never stand a chance in winning like them because they've had bad luck or never was given any help.

I've told my friend about this game, and he said he wasn't interested in playing it(besides not having an advanced computer of his own to play games like this; he prefers to keep to his old school computer) because he wasn't into a game where you are limited by the energy system or where you have to profit from others since that seems to be the crux of MMOs. Then again, he was and is still never really into rpgs.

DLC seems to be acceptable more these days, as I never expected him to buy me MS points for downloadable levels for the game Harmony of Despair(but the core game itself was like $10). But the difference with Castlevania Harmony of Despair is that it's not not designed with a human market that preys on unsuspecting players to lose out or capitalize on your mistakes, and therefore leave you discontented while others enjoy that you lose out. There's a level where you can do farming as well any time of the game without any interruption. In my opinion, that's how you make a lot of content without disappointing a bunch of people and try to profit off them time after time and have them live with it.

We had danger missions,

Mission implement.

New LD maps.

Crash site.

Anniversary missions.

And yet you still complain?

Let me say one thing.

I lloked back. There wasn't that much new crap then as in now. It's just that you've got older.

Even with new crap, I still feel bored.

Treating the symptoms: diminishing returns

CE prices have been out of whack for a while. On the one hand, promos provide a quick fix for that. But those promos have been quite frequent of late; some people went so far as to demand a promo the minute new craftable items came out, just to offset the spike in energy prices.

The fact that promos have become such a knee jerk response shows what a short term fix it is, with the market being driven by end game players to levels that are a big turn off for prospective new customers. People earning 100 crowns per level don't want to see energy prices based on FSC, and I don't blame them- it's a big gap.

Long term, we need vigorous, substantive, and recurring crown sinks. And by substantive, I don't just mean the ability to change your hat for 30 days- I mean that crown sinks that provide new content or gameplay options, thus encouraging people to sell off large amounts of energy (good for new players) to access expensive features that are desirable in the end game.

Even before glitchFest 2012, there was a move to making UV tickets more democratic and accessible... So what will be the next luxury crown item? Mayhaps some sort of temporary booster item priced in crowns instead of energy?

umadbro?

they messed up the ce market with uv ticket, as a remedy they have the obligation to make promo to balance it. assuming they don't have the guts to take back the tickets

Why are you like this NJ?

Nj, even you know that's not what holla wanted to say. His last phrase says it all "Focus on the game and the money will come, it really is that simple.". Have you seen how many people have quit the game this past few weeks? Old players that splurged their wallet out on this game? And who's liking these promos? New players, 3*, 4* players that just want to buy ce and are all excited because it dropped 200cr.

I completely agree with you on this Holla, the guild updates especially have been announced so long ago now, i mean, this is all they work on. If they don't have the full update ready yet, launch what you do have, give the players a reason to stick around and then give them more and more, little by little. FREE STUFF that is, stuff anyone can enjoy and make them want to spend money on the game. Danger missions were awesome but what i feel is that you guys just keep releasing harder and harder updates trying to purposely make the new players waste ce on reviving (Shadow lairs, danger missions). Why not a new boss, why not some new weapons (OCH stuff is not included because it's not free...), not just nerf the old weapons to the extent where you have a thread with a petition to bring the old ones back with over 180 replies and not a single Admin answer (RSS line nerf). What you guys did wasn't change it, you made a whole new bomb, one that isn't good at all i might add. If you were so eager to release these new bombs why not just make new ones, and not replace something that was perfectly fine?

Basically, release new weapons, new armor, new mobs and bosses, give the people what they actually ask and they will happily spend their money! (I haven't seen a single thread in this forum asking for more costume/accessory promos...)

@Njthug

I'm not sure how that promo can be a good move to make money, both PR-wise and business-wise.

- People are angry about shard bomb change
- People are angry about UV ticket compensation
- The market has a ton of easy UV tickets, one of the major crown sink is crippled
- People are angry about OOO's reluctance to step up and explain themselves
- Most people don't like to be covered in vomit re-colored armors, if you are lucky enough to get one that is

There is no point in trying

There is no point in trying to tell Njthug that OOO may be doing anything wrong, you know? Those people send them cookies, its not like they will say bad word about OOO, waste of time.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm throwing 000 under the bridge. If someone promises me something I like the person to be able to make good on that promise. So far 3 promises have yet to be kept. Iron slug never buffed, guild hall updates no where in site, Tortodrone where ever shall you be? My problem is not 000 making money I understand that part. MY PROBLEM IS WHAT THEY ARE DOING WITH IT. I made an investment in the game and it has yet to pay off. Whenever I make a forum post Njthug always makes a post to support 000. Whenever I make a rant thread I expect it now lol. Honestly tho Njthug why no love :( heartbroke

I have to agree here.

Oh well, community will NEVER be satisfyied and forever demand new content.

@Hollafamer

Because Njthug exploited the system to get tons of UV tickets, why would he denounce their actions after that?

@Pauling

Rather than taking everyone's approach of looking at potential viable crown sinks, I have a different opinion on the matter. What we need isn't less crowns in the system via sinkage but simply less crowns in the system, period. I think it's high past time they nerfed FSC payout. It should be around the same as Danger missions are, if not lower. The fact that the highest payout yield in the game is so ridiculously easy to run and farm is what causes the price of CE to steadily rise over time moreso than anything else, in my opinion.

"Oh well, community will NEVER be satisfyied and forever demand new content."

That's in the definition of MMO. Developers keep adding, so the customers would feel inclined to keep playing and paying.

If you only offer static content that won't be added to after release, then players would expect to only pay a one-off fee.

Fixing existing bugs doesn't

Fixing existing bugs doesn't make OOO earn any money, so why would they bother fixing them? (sarcasm, any respectable developper's first concern is troubleshooting, not making sparkling mustaches and leaves at 50$ piece)

you might want to get your eyes checked if you dont see bugfixes in changelogs

MMOs are more likely to be

MMOs are more likely to be littered with bugs since they can be rushed, while console games can't really be sold with bugs otherwise it's bad business for them and negative sales returns.

more like console game teams

more like console game teams consists of dozens of people and are being developed for years and and never get any updates
so yeah

The bugfixes I see in logs

The bugfixes I see in logs are the fixes of bugs introduced at the previous updates. Many old bugs have always remained, unless you've played this game for 3 weeks you should know that.
