*cough* Luguiru, those were the BEST posts I've ever seen on this forum. *cough*
Idea - Sky Clockworks (Graveyarded)
@Little-Juances, Too busy posting pointless comments on their dog's thread.
My god, Kilpik, that was about as funny as Lug's 0=
mmm, let's see, shall I burn your planet or only your house?
no, really, I was starting to forget about this crappy idea. just let it die. please. *finger ready on the big red button*
if you burn my palnet you will die as well
I wonder, what does this red button do?*press*. Dumb ways to die. So many dumb ways to die...
How did you get here? Was it from here? For your sake I hope it wasn't.
I browze for stupid stuff to necro in the suggestions
We need more content, and this is a rather specific idea, sure there are some flaws but the debs can change it as they wish. It's because of people like you who debunk every content based idea that we don't have that much new content in the form of levels.
1 maybe you don't understand that there is not only luguriu against this.
2 this thing is a nonsense, like I specified on my first post on this discussion.
3
It's because of people like you who debunk every content based idea that we don't have that much new content in the form of levels.
please understand that:
the devs makes the levels, we cannot say do that and stop (like, bring back the RSS?), or don't do that and stop (like, don't do sprites?). they decide. if it's not a good idea, they won't do it. if it is, luguriu can't stop them.
then go here. it's not the one who only criticize content. the second index are not his ideas, and he likes them. so he doesn't "debunk every content based idea".
Luguiru isn't a developer, nor is he in any situation where he can force the developers to not work on project.
Luguiru just shows how stupid some ideas are and gives an insight to the "against" argument
" It's because of people like you who debunk every content based idea that we don't have that much new content in the form of levels."
That's like saying (and no offense intended to creationists/evolutionists with this, I'm only using it because it's a powerful and relatable example) that "evolutionists should stop arguing against creationism because creationism is absolutely true and arguing against it is spreading doubt and heresy."
Saying that people aren't allowed to debate against new content ideas is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
"No, don't say my idea is crappy, because even if it is absolutely rubbish and game-destroying, it still should be implemented in the game!"
now tell me how could I have ninjaed your post on a 24 minutes distance. tell me.
You didn't ninja me, your post was there before I started typing. I felt that your post didn't convey the point well enough (also there were a few sentence structure typos that made it a little hard [for me] to understand)
to me, yours sounded like a repetition. and sorry for structures, english is not my first language.
Stop bringing back from the dead stupid Thread that has incoherent idea with OP who left the sinking ship after 3 criticism
Seriously... Just stop it
Bring back GOOD Thread, not those that I have to /facepalm myself because someone (who's obviously brilliant!) has nothing to do with his life and start rezzing garbage idea
Why is this thread still here? It's not a suggestion anymore, just a chatroom for people to yell at each other about how wrong their ideas are. But, Firefist, Hexzyle has a good point. An idea without criticism can never get any better, and any problems it has would remain with it. In this case, where there are many obvious flaws, it's better for everyone for them to be pointed out.
Clotho would've graveyard this by now if this were on her turf.
Title says it all, I've been busy with some of the stuff, and I'll GLADLY edit it out entirely.
If you're wondering about like the questions "How did we not see it", and other crap, heres your answers.
"How did we not see it above our heads?"
Answer: It was cloaked and un-detectable by energy until some idiot over there messed up the stuff.
"Is there gonna be big loot"?
Answer: I edited this part out, you'll get basically as much loot like from entering the Clockworks to the Core, like as the basic thing.
"The goal/plot was something else rather than a big thing over our heads."
Answer: Its only optional, you don't need to enter the Sky Clockworks to go bonk your heads on another adventure. Its just an optional expansion.
"Will there be puzzles?"
Answer: Yes, there will be puzzles. Lots 'o them.
"Will the weapons you find here be OP?"
Answer: No. Its like the Clockworks where you basically find useless to good items over time as you adventure.
Heres the edited stuff.
Edit I: I'm gonna PROBABLY design the weapons. Or just throw a lot of weapons from the original campaign into there and thats done.
Edit II: Loot is the same as the Clockworks.
Edit III: No, there won't be a lot of weapons in there as probably most of them got destroyed.
Edit 4: Holy crap, theres something BIG in there.
Edit 5: At least the entire thing is like... 1/2 more of the Clockworks.
Edit 6: Instead of elevators, its teleporters to other rooms that cost 1 Energy per teleport.
Edit 7: The Sky Clockworks is now a expansion that is optional to take on. More like an extra challenge.
Edit 8: There will be at least 5 or more Boss Rooms inside the clockworks with the bosses I'll list later on.
Edit 9: The Sky Clockworks won't be like, reached out to space. Instead theres rooms scattered around inside the Clockworks that they didn't seem to find and VERY FEW of them will be in space. About like 3 or 4 of them are in space.
Edit 10: The difficulty level there is very higher than usual. Don't even dare going in without a 4-Star Armor or higher.
Edit 11: You'll be able to enter the Sky Clockworks via working pod to enter the Sky Clockworks. The pod area should be in Haven nearby the entrence where you started Spiral Knights after getting through the camp. Or as I like to say, the beginning of the game. Note this area will work if you at least dug through the game by clearing the Core or using real money transaction.
So far thats all the edits... I'll edit it out more eventually.
Add a ruins level. Add new bosses.
New kinds of levels in the arcade. Buff some of the normal lvs.
Do you really want this to basically be the missions that near destroys the others?
Your edits made this just a second clockworks. What's different about it, besides it goes up instead of down?
*continues ignoring thread, hoping that someday it will land SPLAT on the graveyard*
You: Hoy goys, dur-a hur-a, flying space stuff.
Us: What the aerodynamic armpits.
You: Okay fine, take out all the dumb stuff and just make it the exact same as what we already have.
Us: Then why have it at all?
I would respond to the "edits" but it would basically be the same thing as the first round, you pretending to have ideas while everyone else farts loudly in your general direction.
OP certainly has a vivid imagination, I hope he becomes a story teller rather than a game designer. His posts weren't the most irritating to read, though. Especially when some pompous tryhard is spamming his potentially intelligent posts with third grade level 'jokes' that do nothing but detract from his points for a couple of cheap laughs from the peanut gallery.
I really hope everyone's joking when they say Luguiru's posts are 'quality'. Cut out all the crap from his text walls and they might be worth something; he could've handled this better and come out looking mature.
madness is the price for intelligence, I guess. and it makes crushing dreams funnier. it's good as it is.
Sure, Luguiru may not always come up with "intelligent" or "refined" humour, but if you've ever talked to him ingame you'd know that the rate at which he can generate random legible phrases and subjects is far beyond comprehension, and for that he is amusing.
Is pretty creative. I support Luguiru's criticism 100%.
The idea is creative, original, somewhat-hard-to-understand, and HEAVILY UNBALANCED.
As Luguiru said, an update adding this would cause mass inflation in the CE market, because the number of found items would be DRASTICALLY increased, reducing the value, increasing the money, and chaos would spread.
Like how the Clockworks are a massive structure underground, would the Sky Clockworks be a massive structure in the sky? Obscuring the Spiral community's view of the beautiful sky?
I give it a +0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 for effort.
Start of Thread - Just my post
About like 3 days later - Start of Flame War...
About like a week later - Flame War gets outta hand
About a month later - Thread became a Flame War battlefield
Present - This post
Eeeyup. Just did this post as I was bored.
Yep. I mean seriously, people on the internet want to share ideas, but then about 3 days later, a Flame War starts with peeps talking about "Errors" and most of them are just hate. I'm probably gonna put different ideas (when I think of them). I'll graveyard this...
......... Dude, it's over a year not 3 months
"a Flame War starts with peeps talking about "Errors" and most of them are just hate"
If this is how you see what happened in this thread, leave.
Take your filled diapers with you.
Please get rid of the shadow copy.
It's taking up space on the Suggestions forum, while it's actually in the graveyard.
...wow... Liguiro was scary...scary....AHHH!
Did he get banned?
They moved him to a more secure location after he stabbed a security guard with the padding from his room.
WHO DARED NECRO THIS THING?
Lug has made a good job in getitng it down already. and he was right.
could some admin lock this please? no really, after a while of not posting, threads should be locked.
there was a suggestion like this some time ago...
SHAMELESS NECRO!
This thread is sacred ground, as proclaimed by the First Church of Luguiru, founded by Titan Slayers, supreme religion of the forums and better than Contrism. And Monomism.
I implore the admins to lock this thread, or better remove it. please. I don't want to see this again.
Wait a second, how does Ironic know that?
/looks in Guild members
/is still dumbfounded as Ironic wasn't there
Either Ironic visited when I wasn't looking, or has mastered the art of stalking (Like I have)
Probably both
Where are the GMs with their locking and graveyarding powers when you need them....
