Choose Your Adventure, Pick Your Path! [Snow's Main Compendium]

It has been a couple days since I posted my opinion, and we already have some decent amount of feedback (thanks for joining us once again!). Right now, we can safely assume that mostly everyone is alright with Another Favour being cancelled, with only one exception.
So it is decided that we shall commence a new voting session – that's right, there will be new stories coming up right around the corner! That includes some older selections showing up in the list, such as Lost in Time and Termination.
The complete list will be available the next day, so stay tuned!

Either one is find with me; if you have some skeletal plans for Another Favour, all well and good, or something completely new would be fun, too.

Looking forward to seeing this come back together again. I'm ready and set to participate! :)

Again, I've kept myself too busy for the week, and perhaps half-intentionally. My dearest apologies for keeping all of you waiting.
In return, I added a new choice of story to the list, after I had a tremendous idea regarding the latest update of the game (the Battle Sprites, of course). Hope you will enjoy the list of stories, and be wise in your choosing!

This is the time again, where you get to decide our next adventure in Cradle! Every story is unique, and the challenge is variable as well. But the choice is up to you, so choose wisely!
I. Termination
An A.I. of the Spiral HQ is on the loose, and not a single system is safe. Join in this cyber-adventure, and help the knights regain control of the digital disaster before it takes over all of Cradle. Are you up for the task?
(Features: It will be a 100% monologue-special episode; Google it if you're not sure what monologue is. You can expect a very different style of story-telling in this episode, and even a great breakthrough in our Treasure Vault forums. The storyline is still rather vague and not entirely planned out, so I will make changes when deemed necessary. Even if the major storyline is altered, the main idea of a monologue interpretation will still be the focus.)
II. Rise of The Legion: Save Our Souls
This is a story continuing the previous one, Rise of The Legion. Our heroic Geo Knight has indeed met his end, but has it? While Gina remains imprisoned by the orders of Wegner, and the future of the search for the Trojans proved to be in vain, who will be up for the task to stop the malice of an unknown evil?
(Features: You have the opportunity to pick any characters in the previous story as the main protagonist and read the story from his/her perspective.)
III. The Sacred Sprite
It is unquestionable that the Battle Sprites can adapt exceptionally well to their surroundings, especially when the knights found out that a newly-shipped E-class sprite nearly fell off to the Core itself! After surviving the fall, the sprite has even absorbed a great deal of energy and gained supernatural abilities: something that is too dangerous to be kept by the knights. The sprite proves to possess great knowledge beyond any living creature, and the enemy is seeking to keep it for themselves. Can you guard the most treasured secret of all before it falls into the evil hands? Or perhaps, could it be the new form of evil itself?
(Features: An idea of a new type of Battle Sprite, even though very unlikely, but very imaginative. What more can I say? Then again, we might have too many Battle Sprites stuff.)
[Vote for only one choice]

Part of me still really wants to see the monologue style of Termination, but I also appreciated the last story we worked on before (once it got going, of course).
I think I'm going to vote for Termination still. It might be cool to continue on that story another time, but I think a fresh story might be nice. :)

I'd rather not see an attempt to revive RotL because of how idiotic the voters were last time, and how hard it is to "fix" everything in the story that has been absolutely ruined because of our last set of n00b players. Apparently, logic and common sense did not exist back then.
Termination it is then. After reading the Sword Art Online light novels, I'm interested to see how you'll take your spin on a monologue-exclusive story, especially in CYS format.

'Cause I'm up for seeing something new and looking forward to seeing how you'll pull this off.

@Vinnydime
It's not a totally bad thing that we got a bad ending, in fact I even consider it as a huge element of conflict. Like I have always emphasied, there is no right or wrong decision; every choice unfolds a new possibility.
If we look at real examples, not everything in a mission always go the way we intended. Look at how the knights nearly lost the Artefact to Razwog, and Feron being gravely wounded during the Operation Crimson Hammer. In many stories, countless heroes sacrificed themselves in honour to the mission. If there's someone who is willing to undertake the quest again, the world may be saved once more. The tale will be continued.
Also, I made up my mind that the monologue from Termination will be from the stated AI. It's probably a popular trend among such a genre, and besides, I find it easier to write it that way. Of course, we'll have lots of decision-making in the process, just hope that this new experimentation among us would be exciting enough compared with other stories.

But being able to avoid bad decisions that were so obvious was the thing that was irking me. I know I shouldn't be ranting over months-old stuff, but it was like playing a potentially good CYS without seeing all the lore and things I would've liked to have seen.
It's like hiking the Grand Canyon blindfolded.
Or sleeping in the exercise room.
Or not going to do business in the water closet.
Or not eating the entree you just ordered.
It just felt so...wrong.
Well, that's just me, and your points are all absolutely true. All choices lead to more, and they don't really "end".

I can absolutely agree to that, so it really is up to everyone if the story can continue. Maybe it will get the votes this time, or maybe it will have to wait.
That is why I acknowledge that the decision is hard, like what Kanoka said. I kinda did it on purpose. I just love hard decisions. *snicker*

Let's do all three! :D
...
Wait, you said only one?
...
IV: Termination of the Rising Legions of Sacred Sprites!
An E-Class battle sprite fell to the Core, acquired a great deal of energy and knowledge beyond comprehension, and is now on the loose. Not a single system is safe! In fact, HQ lost both the Trojans AND the battle sprite! Good grief! Can you save Cradle from this combination of storylines?
...
Well, do you like it? :D xD

@Thinslayer
I would gladly agree to that medley, if only it's Writing-For-Fun Day, which it isn't.
Sorry but you would have to make a choice. We all know doomed Trojan Sprites would put an immediate end to Cradle at the first chapter, so there's no need to go over that :)

I guess we have waited long enough that the forum post is pushed to the next page, so I'll assume that's all of our participants for now. So, I'll just go ahead and prepare the story (the ones obviously getting the votes), and hope for some last-minute voters.
I really should set a deadline for each voting session, we could use some regular schedules and timing. Always good to keep things on track.
(Edit: Those who still want to vote right now, you can certainly do so. Just don't let the deadline come after you!)

Since I didn't take part in the other two, I think I'll join in on this one.
I vote II since no one else did :3
Owait... someone did.
I still choose it. xD

I'd have voted for The sacred sprite if we were on the other side of the conflict, but termination sounds cool.

Actually that sounds like a good idea! We may be able to make that as an option.

If I were to choose the Sacred Sprite, (which I'm not, but still) taking two POVs gives two different styles.
The first style is survival aspect of the Sprite. Can it make good decisions? Does it know how to calculate the odds for and against its benefits? Who is to be trusted? ETC.
The second style is more of a nurture / management of a Sprite. Can you take care of the Sprite without raising it up to be too sensitive to the cruelties of the world? Can you shelter it from the evil, whilst still training it to be powerful? Who can you trust besides yourself? Can you even trust the Sprite itself? ETC.

One week has long gone now, and we have a number of votes in. The chosen story with the highest vote is Termination!
The first chapter will begin shortly, but before that, I realize the description of the story is too narrowed down to a single storyline. To avoid that, I'll slightly modify the description to make it less predictable. Here it goes:
"The Spiral Order has recently implemented a new feature in their operating system: an A.I. which will monitor the activities in Haven and the Clockworks when the knights cannot do so. This was only known to the authorities and a few important knights, and every piece of information was handled in secrecy. The rule was broken when an engineer released the system for public use, and since then every knight has free access to the communication hub. Although the Spiral HQ is well-guarded, there are always enemies behind walls. If that isn't enough, hackers have planted a rogue A.I., posing a great threat to the system. It is up to you to help the knights regain control of this disaster before it takes over all of Haven."

Here it goes:
Spiral HQ just found 3 hacker stations throughout the clockworks: 1 in each tier. As it gets deeper, the security systems of the stations increase. Just now, Spiral HQ is planning on sending 3 expedition teams to the clockworks, one for each tier. However, something happened to the teams. The clock is ticking. You, as another team, must get through the stations and disable the hacking devices before disaster strikes. Start fighting.

As you travel tier 1, you met an unlikely foe. A wolver supported by alpha wolvers and a GREMLIN MENDER?
What will you do?
A- Slam the wolvers in the face with a final florish
B-Take out the gremlin with your Acheron
C-Freeze the pack with a shivermist buster or burn them with an Ash of Agni

Wait, is there a separate forum for each story or something?

Yes, there is a separate topic for each story. And why are YOU typing the story?

Sorry, completely misunderstood
I understand the creator is inactive, but why there's not that topic now?

There should be some time over the weekend though.

I really am busy right now, as I am moving out from college and there are many stuff to unpack, documents to sign (it's complicated), and many other errands to do. So please be patient while I settle down the important stuff first.

Let us know when your almost done with the unpacking stuff.

I can understand getting busy with life circumstances, so no worries - just make sure that you get it all done. :) Either way, I'll continue to patiently wait for the exciting adventure that'll start with this next story!

But, it's understandable that all the college things that Snowdusk needs to get done would take at least a month to truly get settled. Hopefully we'll hear something soon, but we'll continue to wait anxiously either way!
@Snowdusk: Hope things are going well for you, and that things are starting to settle down! I look anxiously forward to seeing this new story begin and see the kind of work you'll bring with it! :)
I posted in the gremlin spy (albeit using a different account)
