Hi,
i am new to sk and want to be a gunner.
I like mobile guns like the antigua and the pulsar and want them with a uv asi h.
can you say me how much cr/ce i have to save?

I watch the ah but guns with this uv are rarely (I think because you need boss tokens).
Or should i farm jk/twins to buy the weapons and buy a uv ticket and hope that i get a asi h?

I hope you can give ma a direction with which method i can get this weapon or/and how many they costs.

I tryed autogun but i am very bad with it and my plan is after i have a pulsar and a antigua to get my hands on a Magnus to craft a Callahan with uv asi h (so i am intressed in price too).

regards

Have you tried alchemers? Most gunners prefer them over Antigua and Polaris.

And for ASI, you can get a swiftstrike shield. Worry about UVs later, when you already made your 5* set.

thanks for the fast reply i

thanks for the fast reply
i have already a 5* set (i spend some realy money for ce)
i have not testet alchemers because i read the charge attack is better than the normal shot and i think i would not like it.
I read polaris is very good for solo because of the knockback and i want to craft the antigua shadow line because the other shadow gun is a alchemer.
I have a swiftstrike shield and with the uvs i could have max asi and i can spend trinket slots for dmg (thats my plan ^^)

Yes, you should try alchemers. As you're heard, they have really powerful charge attacks. But if you learn the technique of "alchemer switching", then they also have fast regular attacks, and hence do a ton of damage either way you use them.

Yes, it is hard to find Antiguas, Pulsars, and Catalyzers with UVs because they are boss items. Players do not craft them, so players cannot mass-craft them in search of UVs, and so there is no "after-market" of cheap UVs. Further, players have to pay an unbinding fee to sell them, and the buyer (you) ultimately pays that cost. Don't buy boss items from other players. Just earn them yourself. This is cheaper and more satisfying than buying them.

If you really want abilities (ASI, CTR, damage bonuses) on your boss guns, then use gunner armor, gunner trinkets, Swiftstrike Buckler, and perhaps roll for UVs at Punch.

Alchemers are great!

"i have not testet alchemers because i read the charge attack is better than the normal shot"
No it's not. Unless you can land perfect charge attack all the time (this requires at least 3 mobs close together in a certain shape), the normal shots outdamage the charge, are more reliable and do a steady dps. For the maths, see : http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/68414 comment #25

Unless you are very rich, trying to get UVs (and ASI high at that ...) on tokens weapons is a dream. Also, you may want to note that the most popular helm for gunner, Perfect Mask Of seerus, has ASI : low, so you only need a Med on your weapons to get Max overall. Shadowsun armor + double DMG trinket will get you DMG: Max as well.

As for Polaris .... search up a bit the forums, and you'll see it is the most hated gun in a party.

Note for alchemers

If you do get alchemers (2 or more), you should utilize the gun-switching technique, so you only fire once, switch to the next gun, fire, and so on.

Admittedly, I'm not a fan of dual alchemer switching. However, I love spamming their charge shots. The charges are the closest this game has to a Rocket/Grenade launcher IMO. If you get it right, you can insta-gib MULTIPLE enemies with a skillful charge shot.

I wouldn't worry to much about getting good UV's. You don't need max for everything unless you are insane/perfectionist. Usually the ASI high from a Swiftstrike Buckler will do just fine. Normally I aim for +dam med against monster families on my guns, which allow me to get high levels of damage really easily.
